Cancer Overview

Cancer is a group of diseases involving abnormal cell growth with the potential to invade or spread to other parts of the body.[2][8] These contrast with benign tumors, which do not spread.[8] Possible signs and symptoms include a lump, abnormal bleeding, prolonged cough, unexplained weight loss, and a change in bowel movements.[1] While these symptoms may indicate cancer, they can also have other causes.[1] Over ...

what are the side effects for the chicken pills

These Jamaican pills are used to make your butt larger. ## I'm sorry, but from that nickname, description and generalization, I cannot tell you anything. In order to provide you with any information, you need to provide the actual name of the product or its ingredients. There are far too many other possibilities of what it could be that you are talking about. Do you know the name of them? ## I would like 2 purchase the chicken pills over the counter. Are there any side effects & do they really work?? ## Hey i was interested in the chicken pill that makes your butt bigger, but am just scared of the side effects, and does it really work? How do i take it?? ## I think they changed it and that this supplement only comes in a powder form now. Instead of chicken pills I think it might...

Allergic reaction?

Used Efudex on back of my hand a year ago with little reaction. Had to use again & this time hand turned into Krakatoa! Scabs & weeping spread beyond immediate application site but understand this can happen. However, also have tiny pin head size blisters among & around the crusting with accompanying itching which I haven’t noted in other experiences on here & wonder if it’s an allergic reaction or part of the “process” & I just need to find something to ease the itching. Any advice really welcome as this time of use is becoming quite scarey

tincture of opium

As a child my mother used to give me 10 drops to control stomach upsets. Now as an adult I take it for uncontrolled diarrhea due to surviving colorrhectal cancer and stool incontinence. I cannot find it anywhere. I used to buy it in Florida and a pharmacy in Canada does not supply it. Please help. ## I am prescribed Tincture of Opium and you definitely can't walk in with a script and leave with your Meds. But any legit Drugstore can order it, I had a little trouble at first because it took 5-6 days to come in but once I notified the pharmacist I was going to need it filled monthly, he ordered it every month so it was there when I needed it. Good Luck P.S Some drugstores don't want all the work for 1 customer and will lie and say they never even heard of it and cannot order it ( ...

Efudex 5% and Silkis 3

My new dermatologist has prescribed a one-week per month treatment over four months, applying Silkis 3 in the morning and Efudex 5% at bedtime. I have used Efudex before in one spot, with the expected itching and scabs. What happens when I apply these creams all over my face and scalp, which don't have many particular keratosis spots? My job involves working with the public. ## My dermatologist prescribed Efudex and Desonide last week! Beginning tonight... 7 days Efudex and Desonide am and Desonide pm, followed by Desonide twice a day for 3 days, then stop for 3 weeks. Repeat 4 times after that !

Addiction... Disease or Choice?!

Hi, I’m Herb... My question is, why is addiction considered a disease & not a choice?! I can & have quit addiction but I don’t know anybody that has “quit” cancer, heart disease or diabetes... I’m convinced that addiction is a choice, not a disease! ## Hello Herb! How are you? It is often considered a disease, since some people can inherit a genetic propensity for addiction, just like cancer, heart disease, or diabetes, according to NIH studies. If their parents, grandparents, or others in their lineage were addicts, it could make them more prone to becoming addicted to any given substance, such as drugs, or alcohol. That does not apply to everyone that experiences an addiction, of course, but it has been found to apply in the prevalence of cases. T...

Efudex with Dovonex

Just letting everyone know that I just did the newest Efudex treatment protocol which requires mixing 50% Efudex with 50% Dovonex (vitamin D) and it was very fast and easy. Four days of application of the combo "lit up" my face and 7 days later my face and scalp were virtually back to normal. Minimal pain, like a sunburn, and no scabbing, pus, etc. I was really scared to do the longer treatment after reading blogs and looking at pictures, but the new treatment is a piece of cake. Plus, according to related articles, it actually works better. A real win-win! "SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ. – A four-day topical combination regimen of 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) and calcipotriene removed almost 90% of facial actinic keratoses – significantly more than with 5-FU monotherapy, in a rando...

Efudex-40 (fluorouracil)

Need all information about this medication please. ## I have been told to apply Efudex to my lower lip, isn't this crazy? ## Not really. It is listed in the drug monograph that it can be used topically to treat certain cancerous or possibly cancerous conditions. ## Has anyone used it on their lips? Won't it just keep bleeding non-stop? ## Heidi- I've used it on my lips three times. Each time it was an application morning and at bedtime. Though about the second week it gets very sensitive and blister-like lesions appear that means it's working. I applied a product called Acquafor (like Vaseline Jelly) to seal it and protect). The healing takes some time but the outcome is worth it. ## I just used Efudex for 2 weeks on lower lip. from day 7 blistered and ulcerated and wept...

Maximum number of times to use Reclast

I have been infused with Reclast 6 times, with a holiday in between. I cannot find info as to the limit in using this drug. The last 2 times I developed muscle pain and fatigue. Feeling of general unwellness. Lasted 2 weeks the last time. The first 4x I had no symptoms. ## There really isn't a limit, so to speak, it depends on what condition is being treated, and your response to the treatment. Muscle pain, fatigue, nausea, headache, dizziness, and joint pain can be normal side effects of Reclast. Are you still having symptoms? How far apart were your infusions? Does your doctor plan to do more?

Appetite issues

My elderly friend started taking Lenvatinib for his thyroid cancer. He had an operation about 6 years ago which got most of it from around his vocal cords and was cancer free until recently. He is losing some weight now since there are days where he has no appetite. He is drinking milk smoothies lately and it seems to work...he has an appetite for other things. ?? I thought I would poke around to see what people are saying about related issues. ## Unfortunately, most chemotherapy medications can cause loss of appetite, and weight loss, and it is a very well known side effect of Lenvatinib, along with constipation, fatigue, high blood pressure, and nausea. What else does he have an appetite for? Sometimes, when it comes to people undergoing cancer treatment, it is more imperative that th...

The 3-week Efudex / Fluorouracil nightmare is now unnecessary!!

Harvard Medical recently discovered a new treatment regime for AK. This new four-day Harvard Medical protocol is going to save us all from the Efudex & Fluorouracil nightmare: Adding calcipotriene to 5-FU dramatically reduced AKs I used this 4-day treatment for AK in Dec '18 and it works!! Save yourself from the 3 week fluorouracil nightmare and do this 4-day treatment instead. I made this Youtube video of my experience with this protocol: The treatment resolves actinic keratosis in only 4 days. No longer is the pain and discomfort of the commonly prescribed 3 week Flouracil necessary to clear your skin of these pre-cancerous lesions. Mix 5% Fluoroucil and Calcipotriene 50/50 and apply twice per day for four days. Both of these creams can be purchased through prescription. Your ...
