The U.S. FDA does list the dryness/crusting as being possible side effects of using it. It may also cause abdominal pain, headache and mouth sores. How long has your doctor instructed you to use it? ## Medline Plus states "If you are using fluorouracil to treat actinic or solar keratoses, you should continue using it until the lesions start to peel off. This usually takes about 2 to 4 weeks. However, the lesions may not be completely healed until 1 or 2 months after you stop using fluorouracil. Creme ## I have been taking applying 5% Efudex cream for two days to my lip per my Dr. Orders. So far, I have had no swelling or any sign of side effects. Is there anything besides aquafor or Vaseline to he help with pain? ## It contains the active ingredient fluorouracil, which is used to treat areas of skin that have been heavily exposed to the sun, or those that have been tested to have Basal Cell Carcinoma. I have done Forteo, Prolia and now my doctor wants me to do Reclasp. I am 75 years old, haven't had any fractures I am aware of. Forteo caused more pain than usual, Prolia caused hair loss and the texture of my hair changed. The hair loss I mean bald spots. I have put off the Reclasp my doctor is wanting me to do, more poison going into my body and I don't feel any better. At my age, I have enough aches and pain without medication making me feel worse. ANYONE have anything positive to say about this drug. ## Unfortunately, I haven't read any posts from anyone that's had good experiences with Reclast, or most of the other medications that you've listed. ardosons, methotrexate and hydroxychloroquine

Can I take ardosons when I take methotrexate and hydroxychloroquine for my arthritis and sciatica nerve? ## Can I take one day ardosons and one day hydroxicloroquine ## Ardoson is listed as containing Indomethacin and Methocarbamol, the first is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, and the second is a muscle relaxant. Mitochondrial disease

I was Dx with Mitochondrial Myopathy in 9/09 after much testing and labs and finally by muscle biopsy. I was recently told by my neurologist that there had been some research done revealing their effectiveness of this medication in helping to control the duration, intensity and frequency of muscular spasms and cramping, sometimes crippling in its active phases. I began this therapy and within just a few weeks I was having less intensive cramping, the duration was even for less amounts of time. It became more tolerable. It did not do much in controlling the weakness and fatigue I felt but any relief was greatly appreciated, The local pharmacies had to pool their supplies to fill my prescription, I guess my dosage was higher than the usual. It was in a word experimental. I was taking 75 m...

Medline Plus says "If you are using fluorouracil to treat actinic or solar keratoses, you should continue using it until the lesions start to peel off. This usually takes about 2 to 4 weeks. Efudex doesn't have to be a nightmare

I was prescribed Efudix to treat spots on the back of my hands. I have been applying a thin layer daily for 4 weeks. I have had no side effects, no irritation, burning sensations, blistering or pain. The spots have become slightly redder and that's all. Efudix does not have to a nightmare and every case is different. ## That is correct, we are all different, so not everyone will experience side effects while using it. The typical side effects may include skin redness, burning, sun sensitivity, and swelling. Are you still experiencing good results with it? ## Hi. I will touch base with you again early next week. I am meeting the skin doctor on Monday to get their opinion. Still little or no change after 6 weeks. The Pharmacist has suggested twice daily application but I will be guide...

Skin won't tan/skin won't get sunburn

I've never had a sunburn and cannot tan. Why is this? I'm Italian and Spanish but have very fair skin because of health issues, I'm also anemic which makes me even whiter! :/ I've spent all summer outside and nothing. I get a tinncchh darker when I'm outside the whole season, but its soo little, ud never know. I'm so confused considering everyone's always said the more fair skinned u are, the more u will burn. I thankfully have no idea what a sunburn feels like lol. ## That isn't common, but you are not the first person to experience this, and from someone who does burn very easily, trust me, you aren't missing anything, you are also greatly lowering your risk of developing certain types of skin cancer. Do you experience other types of burns, such as ...
