I just failed Ippy. Now my oncologist wants to start Keytruda 1/16/15. Those of you who have been on Keytruda for awhile - Does it carry the same restrictions as Ippy (no caffeine, chocolate, etc)? I'm not seeing anything listed regarding such restrictions with the Keytruda, but your oncologist might want you to stay away from them for other reasons, sometimes it's just due to how harsh they can be on the stomach, which could compound the problems the medication may cause. I have stage 4 thyroid cancer which has metastasized to my lungs. Although it is slow growing, the cancer will kill me. I found a clinical trial at UCSF that would take a variety of different cancer types. After 9 infusions, the keytruda is beginning to work. Other than fatigue I don't feel sick.
