Neupogen Overview

Filgrastim, sold under the brand name Neupogen among others, is a medication used to treat low blood neutrophils.[1] This may occur following chemotherapy, radiation poisoning, HIV/AIDS, or unknown cause.[1] It may also be used to increase white blood cells for gathering during leukapheresis.[1] It is given either by injection into a vein or under the skin.[1] Common side effects include fever, cough, chest pain, joint pain, vomi...

My father could not do cheomo due to low white blood cell count, is there something that he can take to build it back up ## I'm no doctor but I heard of a drug released by Amgen called Neupogen which is supposed to stimulate the production of white blood cells.
