Neurological damage from Cipro?

I took Cipro for a UTI and within 24 hrs of starting it began to have issues with breathing and energy and balance. After finishing the drug things got worse. And the thing that bothers me most is that my Dr. rx'ed the drug for a UTI BEFORE getting the lab work... the bacteria was e-coli.... and Cipro didn't kill it!!! I still had the UTI.... Meanwhile it is now 7 months since I took the drug and I'm still having massive issues with balance and extreme fatigue. I have a friend who took it and lost his color vision for 2 yrs. He also experienced balance issues, brain fog and extreme fatigue. I'd like to know of others who have similar issues, how long it has been since the last dose and what conditions they are still suffering from. Please talk to me about your experience...

Red Pill Imprint O

Red/gray pill. Oblong like capsule but not an actual capsule. It's broke in half with just the red side and very little of the gray side. The red side has imprint in black either the letter "O" or the number "0". Any ideas? ## Hi Scias, Unfortunately, since the entire pill isn't showing.. neither is the imprint which is vital to verifying the pill's identity. I found a number of red/grey capsules with an imprint including the letter O. One of the capsules I located is, Principen which contains (500 mg) of ampicillin. It is a red/grey capsule with the imprint BRISTOL 7993 (in black letters) on each side. Manufacturer: Bristol-Myers Squibb Ampicillin is closely related to amoxicillin, another type of penicillin, and both are used to treat urinary tract infectio...

I was in SO much pain from my peridontal disease,(from my infection under my teeth), that the pain was excruciating. i went to an emergency hospital instead of a dentist. I have looked up this medication and it describes this certain medication to be used for throat, not an infection. Is this right? have you heard of anyone else being prescribed this medicine for a gum? mouth problem? ## This is a general antibiotic, it is used to treat many different types of infection, not just those of the throat or any other specific part of the body. I took it many times for dental infections. Here's a link to the monograph for more information: Broad spectrum antibiotics, such as this one, can be used to treat ma...
