Bactrim is sold in the U.S. as an antibiotic for bacterial infections. I researched and looked for becotrim 960. I'm unable to find anything about the becotrim. You said it came from India. The United States do import medications because we do have manufacturing plants in countries like India. However, did you have a prescription for it or did you just wanted to order from a site without having to use a prescription? The pill could very well be Bactrim or it could very well be useless. This is why I go to a local pharmacy, which will carry this product. Did the pharmacy you use have Bactrim DS (double strength). If I were you, I would see a doctor and get a script filled locally or if you have an iPad or iPhone, there is an app you can download called "Dr. on Demand." They only charge like $45 dollars and they can call you in a prescription if need be to your local pharmacy that you use. I'm not telling you what to do but please be careful if you order from overseas because you could receive a "Pseudo" drug or a medication with 1/2 the amount of the primary drug. The cost of Bactrim is fairly inexpensive even if you don't have insurance. Example- Regular Bactrim 400mg/80mg with a quantity of 60 would cost you approximately $9.97 at Walmart (you must download and print a copy of your discount card & you can have them send you a hard copy of your savings card.) You must present the savings card along with your prescription at the pharmacy.

Have used this before. Becotrim is a generic brand name for the same thing. Both are Cotrimoxazole. This is a good antibiotic for bacterial STIs, by the way. Better than the stuff they give you at the free clinic, which if you look it up, is 70% effective. Guess I'm one of the 30%.

I took 2 pills of 800/160 (bacrim DS) on the first day, and 1 pill a day for another 13 days. Symptoms completely gone by day 2. Decided to finish the 2 week course I prescribed myself (I'm not a doctor, btw), because nuking it from orbit is the only way to be sure.

I got the same stuff... It didn't work at all. Ended up going to my real doctor and got real Bactrim for $10 and it worked.

Same problem; I filled a mail-order prescription for Bactrim and received Becotrim 960 and a month later I received a second (unrequested shipment) and another bill for $68.00 (30 pills). The e-mail address for the manufacturer is Don't know if that will help you or not.
