My son still has two bottles of amoxicillin liquid that has not been opened or used since the pharmacist made it. How long will it last if kept in the fridge ## Hi, Amanda! How are you? Yes, antibiotic suspensions start to lose their efficacy once expired and taking an antibiotic that is not fully effective can be dangerous, since it creates the risk of developing antibiotic resistant bacteria. Such liquids are only good for 7 to 21 days, depending on the type. Learn more Amoxicillin details here. Why didn't your son finish the medication? Unless his doctor instructs otherwise, an antibiotic should always be finished to make sure that the infection is fully eradicated and to help prevent the development of the antibiotic resistant bacteria that I mentioned. ## I used it as directed ...

Gimalxina Amoxicillin 500mg, Amoxicillina
2 Replies RSS Share
Amoxicillin is an antibiotic similar to Penicillin; they both contain sulfur, and have a similar taste (very unpleasant) and sulfur odor (easily detected during urination). Both are effective for upper respiratory tract infections. Amoxicillin sold under the brand name GIMALXINA is COUNTERFEIT (I do not mean generic, I mean a PLACEBO or FAKE). It may even HARM you. Counterfeit Drugs are estimated to steal over $50 Billion each year from consumers. Many of these Counterfeit Drugs are sold over the internet. You really have no recourse of action when getting drugs in this manner, especially from another country. Gimalxina Amoxicillina is made in Mexico, but sold by numerous internet companies; it is FAKE as are many drugs made in Mexico. Do Not Waste your money on Counterfeit, Fake Gimalx...

Kelfex and Amoxicillin

Hi. I was given a prescription for cephalexin 500mg for 3x a day after having two teeth extracted. The second day of the dose my throat felt tight and also as if there was a lump or something stuck in my throat as well as a difficulty swallowing food. I stopped taking the cephalexin and the next day the feeling went away. My dentist prescribed me amoxicillin 500mg instead. My questions are, were my symptoms with the cephalexin a type of anaphylactic shock and could I be allergic to cephalexin? My second question is, is amoxicillin similar to cephalexin and could it cause a similar reaction? I've never had a reaction to amoxicillin before but I am worried after what happened with the cephalexin. Would it be safe to take the amoxicillin as well? Thank you so much for any information y...

my dog has been prescribed amox/clav as the vet says he has very bad teeth and looks infected, im worried about the side effects on him as he is a 14 and a half year old plus he has heart problem and all things about this product say keep away from animals, has anyone else given there dog this product, i just worry about him so much, ## Okay, the first issue is that for an elderly animal, with a heart problem, a dental infection is far, far more dangerous than any medications used to help clear it up. And when they direct you to keep it away from animals, they mean don't let them get ahold of it and eat the whole package, or let them get ahold of ones that aren't prescribed for them. Just like you would need to keep your medications out of reach of small children. This is a gene...

IS BETAMOX SAFE TO TAKE DURING PREGNANCY? ## Betamox contains the active ingredient Amoxicillin, it is an antibiotic that is used to treat various types of infections. green and white capsule amoxicillin?
3 Replies RSS Share
A friend (nurse) gave me amoxicillin I think... It was green on one side and white on the other with no writing or numbers on it. Was it really amoxicillin? ## Probably not, all manufactured prescription medications in the U.S. are required to have unique markings to enable their identification. The only exceptions would be for medications specially made by a compounding pharmacy, and they usually use clear, unmarked capsules. Markings are required under U.S. FDA law. There is a chance that it could be a foreign medication, but that is highly unlikely. Did she give you just one capsule, or several? ## Michelle, It is amoxicillin. I fill my prescriptions from Canada because of the sky high medical costs in the US. But Vern was correct, they do not have to place a number on the pill itsel...
