use of doxycycline 100mg for tick bite

I found a tick embedded in my leg. I had an appointment with a dermatologist and asked about this bite which was red, and was given a 7 day course of antibiotics (doxycycline 100mg). Will this help tick bites? ## Usually, an antibiotic is given after a tick bite to prevent the infections they can sometimes cause, such as Lyme's Disease. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, and non-allergic skin rash. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I'm taking an antibiotic 2x/day for a tick bite (and possibly Lyme disease). I take the first dose at 10 am and the second one at 5:30pm with dinner. doxycycline for a toothache

Can I take doxycycline 100mg for a toothache? I'm also taking Lisinopril 20 mg and Bupropion 75mg. ## John Docycline is not a pain reliever it wouldn't have any pain relieving properties.Ibuprophen is excellent for tooth pain it's an OTC med. ## Can I take the antibiotic for a bad tooth that is abscessed with the other two drugs? ## @John, If there's really a bacterial infection present, then killing the infection with an antibiotic makes sense and will probably help alleviate pain that the infection was causing. As to the efficacy of Doxycycline being used for this purpose, I do think there may be better options on the market. However I haven't come across any details suggesting not to take that particular drug combination of Lisinopril, Bupropion and Doxycycline. A...

doxytet antibiotic green capsule

Hi. I went to clinic on monday for my papsmear for the first time and during that course the nurse discovered that I have a lot of discharge, so she prescribed green doxytet capsules. As I continued to take them I noticed a few side effects: tiredness, loss of appetite, and de thick discharge in de mornings. On the 4th day I used it I couldn't sleep at night. I felt in my chest a kind of pain as if I had swallowed something hard and in the morning I couldn't swallow or even drink tea as it felt like I had inflammation till now in the afternoon. My question is, should I continue with the medication or not? Please help. ## Those can be normal side effects of this medication, but it never hurts to consult a doctor or nurse to be sure. Other side effects, as reported by the NIH, may...

So I was given metronidazole 400mg 5 tablets as a single dose and doxytet 100mg daily for 7 days. Immediately after taking 1st dose of doxy, I went on my menstrual cycle and it doesn't seem to stop.
