Has anyone taken Com Doxynol 200?

I have recently been dealing with a uti issue. I was prescribed doxycycline for a week and got better. By the end of the week I'm not going to go into details but I'm pretty sure I reinforced myself and started to get the feeling of the UTI symptoms again. So I found a supposed to be trusted pharmacy delivery service from Canada. They didn't have any research on them being a bad or unreliable source from the FDA or anything so figured it was ok. It even explains on there how to take your prescription, like times, etc. and what the side effects were and what not. So I filled a prescription for the 200 mg of doxycycline they said they had in stock. It came in today and it's labeled in a package from a company called Combitic Global Caplet Pvt. Ltd. Based out of India. I lo...

What do I need to do? ## Please e-mail me back concerning this, Thank You, Doris ## The heartburn is caused by not drinking a full 8oz of water with each pill. I didn't do that and though I was dieing the burning and chest pain was so bad. Is Doxycycline a sulfa drug?

Can I take Doxycycline 100 mg tablets if I have a sulfa allergy? ## Hi Carol, according to an article I read from the Mayo Clinic, Doxycycline is not listed as a sulfa drug, so you should be okay to take it as prescribed. I also cross referenced the Wikipedia page on Sulfonamides, and it too did not list Doxycycline. If you have other allergies or sensitivities, I'd just double check the inactive ingredients as well to ensure that there is nothing else in there that could disagree with you. If you can refer to the National Drug Code (NDC) printed on your prescription label it should be pretty easy to find the list of inactive ingredients. I hope this helps and feel free to write back!

can i take doxycycline with methadone

Hi I'm on 118 mg of methadone and I was just prescribed 100 mg of doxycycline. Since I've started taking this combination I have been experiencing withdrawal symptoms. About 30 minutes after I take my antibiotic I start getting leg cramps, sneezed and about a hour after i take it I'm on the toilet with the diarrhea. I don't know if its an effect of taking both or just the antibiotic ## Hello Dee, According to the NIH drug interaction checker there should be no issue with taking these two medications together. It's possible that the doxycycline is causing these problems. Among the listed side effects of docycycline diarrhea is one of them as well as mild discomfort but it doesn't specify which type of discomfort. I think that your leg cramping up is a pretty decen...

Topical Cream: dicl bacl gaba lido doxe

I have found all of the elements in this topical cream (dicl bacl gaba lido doxe) EXCEPT for "DOXE". Can someone explain the abbreviation of this component and any side-effects? ## Hi twotrees, There are a couple medications that come to mind when I see the abbreviation "Doxe": [1] Doxycycline - An antibiotic, topically used to treat moderate to severe inflammatory acne, or mild inflammatory acne. [2] Doxepin - When applied topically, it can reduce itching caused by atopic dermatitis, lichen simplex chronicus, and other skin diseases. I'm personally leaning towards "Doxepin" due to how close the abbreviation is to the actual drug name and it's topical use-case. If it is Doxepin, you can view a list of possible side effects in the link below: ncbi.nlm.nih....

Please advise.the surgeon put in inside stitches after removing the port, was this okay? ## Rather than self-treating, you should consult a doctor, or see your surgeon to have this checked out. Getting a full systemic infection from this would not be a good thing, it could put your life in danger. The FDA lists the typical side effects of antibiotics as possibly including nausea...
