I got a prescription from Mexico with 6 capsules in it, sealed, but it says 500 mg on it. How am I supposed to administer these? Taking 1000 mg the first day? and the rest one at a time a day after that? ## Yes, it contains the active ingredient Azithromycin and the package you mentioned is used just like a Z-Pak, 2 the first day, then one each day after, until you finish them. This antibiotic may cause side effects, such as nausea, drowsiness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Learn more Azithromycin details here. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have the same bottle, is this safe for a 9 year old to take and is it the same dosage? ## I use azithromycin for my facial acne. NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THIS PRODUCT THAT IS MADE IN INDIA. IS THIS REAL OR A PHONY? ## Can I use azithromycin for a sore throat or throat infection? ## white oblong pill with 787 on one side and PLIVA on the other. ## Azithromycin is a real antibiotic and made by a real company. I really haven't researched it to see what country it is made in. What makes you think it is fake? What are the imprints on it..the numbers/letters, color and shape of pill or capsule. I wouldn't take it just for a sore throat. A sore throat is usually viral not bacterial; therefore, an antibiotic will not really make a difference. If you suspect you have a throat infection such as strept or something like that get to the doctot first before self medicationg. ## Mary, is your response to Torveena's. I;m ...

I am worried that Doxiclat 100mg is not working
1 Reply RSS
I have had Urithritis going on almost 2 months. I have been tested for all major STDs and have come back negative. I have been put on Ciproflaxion and 2 rounds of Azithromycin... The symptoms go for a while but end up coming back. The urologist suspects it to be Mycoplasma Genitaliam and has put me on Doxiclat 200mg a 1 xday for 2 weeks. I am on day 4 and still have the symptoms of Urithritis... does this mean its not working either? ## This is another antibiotic, it contains the active ingredient Doxycycline. The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Has your doctor looked into possible viral causes? If you've contracted a virus, then an antibiotic will not help. Are you on any other me...

zertalin azitromicina 250mg for a bladder infection
1 Reply RSS
I have a bladder infection. Can I use zertalin azitromicina 250mg to cure it? If so, what dosage? ## According to Medlineplus.gov, Azitromicina (Azithromycin) is used to treat certain bacterial infections (ears, lungs, sinuses, skin, throat, and reproductive organs), including bronchitis, pneumonia and venereal diseases. I, however, did not see any information specifically stating an indication for bladder infections (or UTI's). That said, I think it would be important to consult your prescribing doctor and/or pharmacist just to be sure. It is also your prescribing doctor's duty to inform their patient about what dose to take for best results. Nevertheless, my guess is since its mechanism of action is so broad, bladder infections may not be out of the question. I hope this helps!

I have 6 pills in sealed container. I believe it's for 5 days. What is the recommended dosage? ## I want to know the dosage of AZITROMICINA. I have 6 capsules of 500 mgs. Please reply asap. thank you, kindly. ## Azithromycin is an antibiotic used to treat various types of infections. Before using it, you should see a doctor to confirm that you have an infection. If you use it and you do not, you run the risk of developing antibiotic resistant bacteria. The normal dosage is 2 tablets on the first day, then one tablet on days 2 to 5. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, skin rash and diarrhea. Azithromycin oral suspension
1 Reply RSS
I want to take Azithromycin orally via the liquid suspension and wondered if I can take it over the span of a couple days and if it will still have the same effect as a full treatment regimen? ## It really depends on the severity of the infection being treated and the recommended dosage to eradicate it. The liquid works just as well as capsules, or tablets, but the dosage is the important issue. The NIH warns that this medication may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, and non-allergic skin rash,. How much do you have, what is the dosage and how much have you been told to take?
