New Generic 30 Mg Adderall Xr (all orange w/ R 3061 on them) Not As Effective

please share your experience with this never seen before, less effective drug that two different pharmacy's have given to me in last two months. they make me fall asleep! ## Hi shaun, When you switch brand names or manufacturers, the drug itself doesn't change, but rather the binders or fillers that they put with it. Certain "inactive" ingredients that may or may not be present in each brand, are actually detrimental to how the drug is metabolized and used by your body. Because everyone is different, your body may respond favorably with one medication and not the other (even if they're both Adderall Xr), due to how you feel or based on whatever side effects present themselves. Although I haven't taken this medication, I can say that they probably have an array of...

Methylphenidate questions / generic recommendations

Can I have some information on this drug? ## I am prescribed methylphenidate/10mg, Carisoprodol/350mg and Diazepma/10 mg. Will this keep me from getting a job since they are legitimate prescriptions? ## Methylphenidate is most commonly used to treat ADHD, shift work sleep disorder, narcolepsy. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, insomnia, and anorexia. Not, they should not interfere with you getting a job, Avita, but if they test, you should make sure they are aware of what you are taking, to avoid any problems. They may also require proof that they have been prescribed for you. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I was taking 20mg actavis mfg and now the pharmacy has switched to KVK mfg 20mg and I couldn’t...

Adderall on backorder

I take generic Adderall 20 mg for narcolepsy and there is not one local pharmacy that has it in stock. I have never had this problem before. The pharmacies are saying that it's on backorder from the manufacturer. Is anyone else having problems getting their scripts filled? ## I live in Southern NH. I can't find a pharmacy anywhere around here that can get Adderall in any dose from Teva and Barr Pharmaceuticals. My psychiatrist was apparently completely unaware of this situation when he wrote the prescription earlier today, 10/18/2011. I run out in 4 days but am on a very low dose (5mg twice a day) so I may be able to wean off of it safely by cutting back to 5mg once a day, then nothing. I wonder how many people taking higher doses are goint to have major problems with withdrawal...

Difference Between Adderall ER & Adderall XR

Hi, Can someone please educate me on the differences between Adderall ER as opposed to Adderall XR? I had no idea there was an ER as well as an XR until yesterday. ## There is no difference. XR stands for extended release, and so does ER. The terms are used interchangeably. ## Ok, but they are in fact two separate medications. I did not know this until yesterday.

Sandoz Adderall

Sandoz is the best generic ir adderall I've used. August 11, 2017 I was told by the pharmacist they no longer produce this product. I asked if brand name was available and was told yes. When I received them I noticed they were made by Teva and let me tell you they are awful. I don't know what to do if I can't find a decent generic brand. ## Activis (spell check?) is pretty good. I also went from Sandoz to Teva, not by choice, and hated it. Then I tried Activis, and I'm happy with it. ## That's strange if it is discontinued but CVS just gave me Sandoz Adderall today 9/5/2017 , I had requested corepharma because previously they gave me Mylan brand, which was Bad. I did well on corepharma but the only generic they could get was Sandoz. ## It is possible that just that p...

Desoxyn in Virginia beach?

I've had an ADHD diagnosis for quite a while. I've been on everything from Concerta to Adderall and am currently prescribed 90mg of Adderall a day. I am pretty curious about Desoxyn and the thought that I could get the same results from 5 mg a day. What are your thoughts and where can I go?

Apo Methylphenidate

I have been diagnosed with ADHD and Bi-polar disease. My Dr. gave me 2 different meds which are Apo-methylphenidate and Sandoz-Methylphenidate. What is the difference between these 2 meds and why are they giving me 2 different ones? ## They aren't different medications, they are both just Methylphenidate, APO and Sandoz just refers to the manufacturers. This medication may cause side effects, such as: nausea, headache, dizziness and insomnia. Learn more: Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have been taking methylin er 20 mg. for 2 years. I went to get a new prescription filled & I was given methylphenidate sr 20 mgs. because they were out of the methylin, but it is not working the same. Is there a difference? ## Reggie, Methylphenidate is the active ingredient in Methyl...

Adderall manufactured by Teva not working

I have had two refills of Adderall 20 mg that was manufactured by Teva/barr (Teva) and it seems to have much less medication in each pill. Refills by another manufacturer work. This is ridiculous, and where do we report Teva and who can check each pill for amount for medication? I would gladly donate some of my worthless ones to the FDA? ## You'd have to report any complaints to the FDA, at 888-INFO-FDA. However, there may not actually be anything to report. They do allow generic medications to differ from the name brands, in the amount of the active ingredient, by up to plus or minus 20%. This is considered an acceptable therapeutic window. For most people, these differences don't cause any problems, but if someone is sensitive to medications, it means that one with a slightly ...

Teva Adderall

I was taking adderall 10 mg by mouth 3 times a day. Manufactured by Teva. I can't find it at local pharmacy. Anyone know how I can get my medication? ## Hi Shery, I went onto Teva's manufacturer webpage and found a photo of their 10mg Adderall pill (just scroll down a bit): I'm thinking you can simply email the company (using the contact link on their website) and ask them about the pill's availability in your area. Generally, if it is not available, the pharmacy can have it shipped there for your prescription or they can provide you with a different brand/generic of the same drug. Studies show that there are no differences in the quality or effectiveness of generic drugs vs brand name drugs. For more info on this comparison, you can visit the link below: Please post bac...
