Ritalin Overview

Methylphenidate, sold under various trade names, Ritalin being one of the most commonly known, is a central nervous system (CNS) stimulant of the phenethylamine[3] and piperidine classes that is used in the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and narcolepsy. The original patent was owned by CIBA, now Novartis Corporation. It was first licensed by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 1955 for treating what was then known as hyperactivity. white round pill AB one side CG other

can someone tell me if this is ritalin ## Based upon personal experience, believe round white scored tablet A | B CG to be Ritalin 10 mg, non-US pharmaceutical manufacture. ## I cannot guarantee that this information is accurate, but others have identified it as containing 10mgs of Methylphenidate, which is a generic for Ritalin. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, and weight loss. Is anyone else familiar with this tablet? ## I have checked my 10mg Ritalin by Novartis tablets purchased with the required script and authorization here in Australia. Taken freshly out of the blister pack they show the CG on one side with A|B on the other. So I can very confidently say that in Australia a...

Find a doctor who prescribes either ritalin or adderall for my ADHD in Southwest Florida.
45 Replies RSS
I've had adhd since childhood and it has gotten increasingly worse. I've tried EVERYTHING and found that only these two medications really work. My doctor dropped me due to something regarding Obamacare and I NEED to have my prescriptions refilled! These drugs have literally brought my life back to normal! Please tell me of a doctor who understands the severity of the condition and will prescribe the right medications somewhere in Southwest Florida. ## Obamacare has to do with getting medical coverage, not whether or not your doctor treats you. And as to getting the medications that work for you, you'll need to see a new doctor and make sure that they get a full copy of your medical records. Once they can see what has and hasn't worked for you, as documented by fellow ph...

Blue Ritalin pill and dye that's in it

Why does my blue Ritalin 10mg tablet turn my mouth blue when I take it? It stains my fingers, teeth & tongue. Why is that? ## Can you please answer a few more questions for clarification - Are you taking the actual brand Ritalin, or its generic equivalent? Regardless, can you please check your prescription label and try to post the NDC code so that it could be possible to check the inactive ingredients listed for that specific version? The reason I ask, is because in checking the NDC database for Ritalin 10 mg, what comes up is a greenish pill with the inscription CIBA on one side, and the number 3 on the other (NDC Code 0078-0440). Just want to make sure that we're talking about the same pill here. Lastly, if I may ask, is this your first Ritalin prescription? Or, if you have b...

My daughter gets prescribed 20mgs of Ritalin instant release (Dan 20) 3 times a day. I had to go to a different pharmacy and they gave me a yellow pill round with T 175 on one side. Is this the same thing? It doesn't seem to be working as well!!! ## Yes, it is also a generic for Ritalin, it contains 20mgs of Methylphenidate. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, insomnia, and anorexia. Has there been any change, or is she still having a problem with it? Is she on any other medications? ## Thank you and Yes she takes 0.1 mg of clonidine mood stablizer and it also helps her sleep at night ## Ahh Finally Found a Site Where I Can Get Quick Answers Without All The Login Has...

clear capsule '20mg' black writing white powder

Is this actually generic Ritalin? I have looked online everywhere and since there is no other imprint I've had no luck.. Please help! ## Based on my research, there aren't any Ritalin capsules (of any dosage) that come close to this description. Where did you get the pill from? It sounds to me like an illicit, foreign, or fake tablet; for if it were real and US made, you would at least be able to Google it. However I'm not sure if other countries also make this brand of methylphenidate. Has anyone else come across this pill? ## Get a drug panel from CVS - one wth amphetamines. Add some of the powder & some luke warm water to see if it comes up as an amphetamine.

Ritalin sr 20 mg tablets
17 Replies RSS
I was told by my pharmacist today that brand name (Novartis)-ritalin 20 mg tablets sr (sustained-release), have been discontinued. I cannot find anything on the internet to confirm this. He filled one-third of the prescription and said to contact the doctor to decide what to do. He said ritalin capsules, 20 mg la (long-acting) is still available from novartis. Has anyone out there had any similar difficulties? This may cause problems with my insurance plan...or delays. And I don't have transportation to go from pharmacy to pharmacy looking for ritalin tabs 20 mg sr. Would appreciate any feedback. Thank you in advance. ## Sunday night, and my Rite Aid pharmacist called to tell me the same thing. He said any pharmacy (Rite Aid, Walmart and more) that orders their pills from McKesson w...

Is this generic for Ritalin its a yellow round pill with v on one side and4578 On the other . ## Hello, Ann! How are you? Yes, this tablet is manufactured by Qualitest Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 20mgs of Methylphenidate, which is a generic for Ritalin. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, nervousness, insomnia and weight loss. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Be careful. I found an unmarked vial with some pills in it. V 4578 is ritalin. I thought it was klonopin 0.5. That is V 4576. Good thing I looked it up. I would have taken an amphetamine at bedtime thinking it was an anti-anxiety med to help me sleep. When in doubt, always look it up. ## Methylphenidate (ritalin) ...

What's the withdrawal like from Ritalin Methylphenidate?
1 Reply RSS
I'm on 3 of the 20 mg Ritalin and I had to go for a month without them. I was more sick than when I quit Oxycontin. Why I went without the Ritalin is because my doctor went on vacation for a month and forgot to write me a refill. I never knew that Ritalin could make you feel such bad withdrawals. ## It is a stimulant and stopping such a high dose abruptly can cause withdrawal effects, which the FDA lists as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, and chills. How are you doing, now? Are things better? Are you on any other medications?

Kvk Ritalin - Are you kidding
Post a Reply
Kvk... Ritalin?! Garbage! I will be going to the Dr's and ask why I'm being rx'd phentermine?! A drug is a drug, is a drug! Ritalin would give me a happy, motivated, feeling. My palms used to sweat, I was engaged, now the magic is gone. I'm no longer convinced kvk is selling Ritalin! This I put up with 2-3 times now... My given right and body will stop being coerced by Dr's that believe they know best. Trust me, decline this kvk brand!!! Pissed off, and tried the "stimulant vacation!". Before someone wants to get mouthy, I saved an old script before kvk... Kvk white round tabs are not Ritalin!?
