Is this the generic for Ritalin LA 30 mg? This is what the pharmacy filled, but I thought it should be Methylphenidate LA 30 ## It is the same medication, the LA, and the E both stand for the same thing, which denotes it as being a long acting, or delayed release medication. You might see other abbreviations, as well, including XR, ER, CR, SR, but they all mean the same thing. Personally, I think it would be better if they had one standard abbreviation to designate a medication as being time released, but at this time, they do not. The FDA warns that Methylphenidate carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia, nervousness, and anorexia. Is there anything else I can help with?

Find a doctor who prescribes either ritalin or adderall for my ADHD in Southwest Florida.

I've had adhd since childhood and it has gotten increasingly worse. I've tried EVERYTHING and found that only these two medications really work. My doctor dropped me due to something regarding Obamacare and I NEED to have my prescriptions refilled! These drugs have literally brought my life back to normal! Please tell me of a doctor who understands the severity of the condition and will prescribe the right medications somewhere in Southwest Florida. ## Obamacare has to do with getting medical coverage, not whether or not your doctor treats you. And as to getting the medications that work for you, you'll need to see a new doctor and make sure that they get a full copy of your medical records. Once they can see what has and hasn't worked for you, as documented by fellow ph...

I’m traveling out of state. I’ve talked to pharmacist and poison control. No one can find a light blue pill with these markings. It’s def not green. I’m just scared because I take oxycodone 10 mg for chronic pain but I’ve never taken any kind of Ritalin it adderall or amphetimine and now i May have take it for a whole day and i have to sleep to work tomorrow an...

ritalin 20 mg tablets by northstar

I was on Adderall XR 30 mg, 3X/day for a long time until all the generics came out with the ineffective fillers and they became ineffective. My doctor then switched me to Ritalin 20 mg, 3X/day. They did help to perk me up. I'm on a heavy dose of morphine thru an infusion pump for chronic pain for almost 10 years. I called the office to tell them about the side effects I was having: INTENSE sweating, ANGER, mood changes. I was told to reduce the script to 1/2 pill in the am and 1/2 in the pm. This was a little too low so I take 1 tablet in the am and 1/2 in the pm. So far, this seems to be working well and the sweating has decreased almost 98%, anger is gone. I think I'll stay here since its working. Has anyone else had issues with Ritalin? ## Those can be normal side effects of ...

Ritalin pill differences - Imprints of T 175 and Dan 20

My daughter gets prescribed 20mgs of Ritalin instant release (Dan 20) 3 times a day. I had to go to a different pharmacy and they gave me a yellow pill round with T 175 on one side. Is this the same thing? It doesn't seem to be working as well!!! ## Yes, it is also a generic for Ritalin, it contains 20mgs of Methylphenidate. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, insomnia, and anorexia. Has there been any change, or is she still having a problem with it? Is she on any other medications? ## Thank you and Yes she takes 0.1 mg of clonidine mood stablizer and it also helps her sleep at night ## Ahh Finally Found a Site Where I Can Get Quick Answers Without All The Login Has...

Ritalin sr 20 mg tablets

I was told by my pharmacist today that brand name (Novartis)-ritalin 20 mg tablets sr (sustained-release), have been discontinued. I cannot find anything on the internet to confirm this. He filled one-third of the prescription and said to contact the doctor to decide what to do. He said ritalin capsules, 20 mg la (long-acting) is still available from novartis. Has anyone out there had any similar difficulties? This may cause problems with my insurance plan...or delays. And I don't have transportation to go from pharmacy to pharmacy looking for ritalin tabs 20 mg sr. Would appreciate any feedback. Thank you in advance. ## Sunday night, and my Rite Aid pharmacist called to tell me the same thing. He said any pharmacy (Rite Aid, Walmart and more) that orders their pills from McKesson w...

k 102 Ritalin? Do they make you sick?

I have taken Ritalin for years for Narcolepsy. I just got a bottle of yellow pills with K 102 on them. Does anyone else take this brand? They are making me weak, extremely tired and I feel awful. I have never had or seen this brand before. Normally I take Teva. I'm wondering if it's this brand that is making me feel this way? ## These tablets are manufactured by KVK Tech and those can be normal side effects of this medication, according to FDA reports. You may also experience dizziness, headache, irritability, and insomnia. NDC code: 10702-0102 How are you doing, now? Has there been any change? It is very odd for this medication to cause you to feel tired, since it usually causes the opposite as a side effect. Are you on any other medications? ## I feel THE EXACT SAME WAY! I usu...

Kvk Ritalin - Are you kidding

Kvk... Ritalin?! Garbage! I will be going to the Dr's and ask why I'm being rx'd phentermine?! A drug is a drug, is a drug! Ritalin would give me a happy, motivated, feeling. My palms used to sweat, I was engaged, now the magic is gone. I'm no longer convinced kvk is selling Ritalin! This I put up with 2-3 times now... My given right and body will stop being coerced by Dr's that believe they know best. Trust me, decline this kvk brand!!! Pissed off, and tried the "stimulant vacation!". Before someone wants to get mouthy, I saved an old script before kvk... Kvk white round tabs are not Ritalin!? ## Hello Vemonter, I'm unsure of the direction you wanted to go with this post. Are you simply stating that KVK is not Ritalin? If so you're absolutely correct...

White Pill with N and 36

Hi, I found two pills in my sons room and would like to know their identity. White pill with 36 and N on opposite side + a grey pill with 27 and N on opposite side. I searched all the databases and found nothing. Any assistance or suggestions would be grateful. Thanks. ## To clarify: White Oval: with 36 and N on opposite side. Grey Oval: with 27 and N on opposite side. ## Hi, I found the same pills in my daughters room yesterday (22 jun 11) and did a search but only found this thread. Unfortunately it seems impossible to find anything on the internet with this type of pill (white oblong with n on one side and 36 on the other). I do, however, find it interesting that two sets of parents find this type of pill in their teenagers possession within the same week. This concerns me greatly as...

sz 790 sr 20 mg

This pill is nasty. It is described as SR by the manufacturer (slow or sustained release). I have been taking Millen 4 x 20 per day with no problems. Was this pill dispensed as a mistake by the pharmacy or by the doctor. I took less than two and didn't get a wink of sleep. Markings are Sandoz peach, scored, 790, SZ or ZS. The bottle says SR. It has taken me so long to get to get to the combination of pills I am at that if I rock the boat, I am scared that the whole research of a group of safe pills will be in jeopardy. I can cut back on the Sandoz without a problem, no odd effects as described on the net, ## Just discovered that I have been wasting years -- and tasks undone -- by taking generic Ritalin manufactured by Sandoz (not time release). Ritalin Vs Adderall

Please advise. My grandson is 9 years old and has been diagnosed with ADHD. He's on ritalin but his parents only give it to him when he's in school. Should they keep him on it year-round? He is not controllable when he's not taking it. ## These medications really do work best, when taken continuously, as prescribed. However, the final decision on that is up to the parents and the child's doctor. Have they said why they don't give it to him, when he isn't in school? They may just want to avoid some of the possible side effects, such as the anorexia and insomnia that it can cause. ## I was just put on ritalin for lack of motivation and depression. I also take xanax, zoloft and zyprexa. What is the difference between adderall and ritalin?
