I have taken Ritalin for years for Narcolepsy. I just got a bottle of yellow pills with K 102 on them. Does anyone else take this brand? They are making me weak, extremely tired and I feel awful. I have never had or seen this brand before. Normally I take Teva. I've had adhd since childhood and it has gotten increasingly worse. I've tried EVERYTHING and found that only these two medications really work. My doctor dropped me due to something regarding Obamacare and I NEED to have my prescriptions refilled! These drugs have literally brought my life back to normal! Please tell me of a doctor who understands the severity of the condition and will prescribe the right medications somewhere in Southwest Florida. ## Obamacare has to do with getting medical coverage, not whether or not your doctor treats you. small green ## Hello, I have had a lot of un eventful events happen to me in the past 3 years and, it seems my NP does not understand... She makes jokes ....Sometimes offensive ones... I didn't have time to take my Ritalin this morning so I put it in a napkin and shoved it in my purse as I walked out the door. Unfortunately my water spilled and got in contact with the pill. The napkin did nothing to protect it and the pill got wet, There was a small amount of dissolving that occurred, The imprint and mg can not be read, Will it still work? ## They have worked for me when I spilled water like the graceful dove I am. ## @Lucy, From what I could gather, the 20mg tablets are considered to be water-soluble, but they should still work even if only part of it was disintegrated. Is this the generic for Ritalin LA 30 mg? This is what the pharmacy filled, but I thought it should be Methylphenidate LA 30 ## It is the same medication, the LA, and the E both stand for the same thing, which denotes it as being a long acting, or delayed release medication. You might see other abbreviations, as well, including XR, ER, CR, SR, but they all mean the same thing. Personally, I think it would be better if they had one standard abbreviation to designate a medication as being time released, but at this time, they do not. The FDA warns that Methylphenidate carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia, nervousness, and anorexia. I think my pharmacist put the wrong pill in my script bottle and there doesn’t seem to be anyone who can find what it is. The closest is a green one w the same markings k 101 which is Ritalin and I’ve never taken that and I have taken a days worth of the pain meds and I’m scared I took the wrong medicine my pharmacy is closed and closed tomorrow so I can’t get them to confirm. I’m traveling out of state. I’ve talked to pharmacist and poison control. No one can find a light blue pill with these markings. It’s def not green. I was on Adderall XR 30 mg, 3X/day for a long time until all the generics came out with the ineffective fillers and they became ineffective. My doctor then switched me to Ritalin 20 mg, 3X/day. They did help to perk me up. I'm on a heavy dose of morphine thru an infusion pump for chronic pain for almost 10 years. I called the office to tell them about the side effects I was having: INTENSE sweating, ANGER, mood changes. I was told to reduce the script to 1/2 pill in the am and 1/2 in the pm. This was a little too low so I take 1 tablet in the am and 1/2 in the pm. So far, this seems to be working well and the sweating has decreased almost 98%, anger is gone. I was told by my pharmacist today that brand name (Novartis)-ritalin 20 mg tablets sr (sustained-release), have been discontinued. I cannot find anything on the internet to confirm this. He filled one-third of the prescription and said to contact the doctor to decide what to do. He said ritalin capsules, 20 mg la (long-acting) is still available from novartis. Has anyone out there had any similar difficulties? This may cause problems with my insurance plan...or delays. Kvk... Ritalin?! Garbage! I will be going to the Dr's and ask why I'm being rx'd phentermine?! A drug is a drug, is a drug! Ritalin would give me a happy, motivated, feeling. i an trying to find out who makes the pink ritalin thats has 532 on one side, i have used this for years and all of a studden, they only have the green and yellow and white all giving me headaches and can't find any informaition out on the pink ones name or anything for my dr, help ## I have the same issue without the headaches.
