my mom was taking qualitest generic percocet for severe leg pain. recent script from cvs was labeled mallinkot . she became very nauseated with loss of appetite and a rash with large blotches and itching over face and body after taking the percocet over several days with no pain relief.. I knew the actavis brand is no good but did not put things together as her bottle said differently. Her face was swollen and eye swollen shut and red . she did not think the only new thing she was taking was her percocet. I looked at the bottle again and the description did not match the pill. I immediately went to cvs and they labeled it wrong. she was given actavis instead!!! It took 2 days of phone calls and benadryl for the severe reaction to get a new script, but not until i brought her to the md offi

I was prescribed Librax by my Gastrointeroligist for stomach pain. When I went to CVS they told me my insurance United Health Care would not pay for it. They said the cost was $3,759.00 for 60 pills. Outrageous!! I am 85 years old and cannot afford this. ## That is outrageous indeed! Are you able to get a generic version of this drug filled? Brands tend to be much more expensive. 5mg/2.5mg Chlordiazepoxide / Clidinium (60 capsules) Check this tool from GoodRx to see if any pharmacies near you will honor the discount, it seems to be substantial: Hope this helps!

CVS, a company involved in scandalous behavior in the past is now going to dictate policy on pain meds and prescribing. I urge all pain patients to contact your public officials to not allow this company to now play god with what is prescribed to you superseding your doctors orders and for many patients to file litigation against this company and the CDC or any other governmental agencies that allow these criminals to become your doctors and set the rules. This organization cannot be allowed to set the rules when it comes to your healthcare. They have again overstepped their authority and this latest fiasco shows how they have no regard to patients who need these medications for quality of life. Trying to take medication from people who need it is criminal. Just google this company and ...

I, too, had to switch to CVS Jan. 1, 2014, because I now have Obamacare, Value Silver Plan & in the place I live, basically one huge Insurance Co....the only one available. I live in a red state. Walgreens, who I used for a decade, did not sign a contract with ins. Co. For the Value Silver Plan. Everyone on this plan had to switch to CVS because this is what our ins. co. told us to do! I have thought, maybe, CVS, knowing full well, it was going to get slammed with new pharmacy customers come Jan 1st & in cohoots with the giant ins. co., saw a way to make more money by buying & selling cheap & substandard "value" medicine for the people who are on this plan! What are your thoughts on this? I, too, have to take A333, along with another pain medicine (long lasting) ...

Does any know why I would be refused purchase of Coricidin D by scanning my drivers license? I have no history of drug abuse or anything like that. I have allergies that drive me bannanas some times and have used Lotramine succesfully. ## How much were you trying to purchase and how old are you? This medication is commonly abused, however, unless you've been flagged for some type of suspicious behavior, I have no idea why the purchase would be refused. ## 63 yrs old . We figure it may have been because I was purchasing Nite time cold medicine at the same time . Still have not figured what my license had to do with it. ## It may be that in your home county there are restrictions on that medication, or perhaps in your home state. You neglected to say whether you were in your home stat...

My 11 y/o is on Adderall and when I went to CVS the other day, was told they don't have any. I have called two other pharmacies to find out they don't have it either. This happened a couple of years ago and we couldn't get any for weeks. It seems there is no recourse or way around this problem, and it is shocking that no one (Dr, pharmacy, pharmaceuticals) seems to be in touch with this issue of how it affects the patient when all of a sudden they do not have their medication. The body should be weaned slowly and an abrupt discontinuation can really affect the patient. We try to not give him Adderall one or two days over weekends whenever possible, and then store the extra. In our case, we are lucky at this time that we have some back-up! One CVS here in Orlando, FL just tol...

My Rite Aid closed so I had my medicine filled at CVS in Arizona. Found out they haven't sold Soma in a few years. Safeway told me a year. Yet Kroger & Walmart sell it. I've just lost 6 months worth. I'm sure my Doctor will help me when I return in a few weeks. I miss Rite Aid already, they were very nice, and sold Soma! ## Hey Eddy! Sorry to hear that! I get mine from CVS here in Texas? ## Thank you Sandra, I called and asked CVS how I could transfer my prescription to WalMart. The answer was you can't ## A big thank you to Walmart, a store that I have hardly used. They had to order my amount, 270 for a 3 month supply, I can't believe the price, $2.27. I was paying over $20 at Rite Aid, the retail price is $137 without any discounts. I knew Rite Aid was overchar...

Last time I got my pain meds refilled at CVS, I ran out on day 22 of a 28 day script. No one in my house abuses my meds and I'm certain the pharmacy shorted me. Does the pharmacist have to fill narcotics or can the techs? I'm gonna count them before I leave next time. Who would I report this to? ## The techs can fill them, but the pharmacist is supposed to count them to make sure they are correct and then, they have to sign off on them. In some cases, depending on the pharmacy policy, you will see their initials on the bottle to verify that they've counted them and verified it is the correct medication. If you're going to count them, don't just do it yourself, make sure a pharmacy employee is with you to witness it. Years ago, when I was on pain management, I had the...

i hace to pay alot of money to independant pharmacies because wal greens and cvs wont fill and it cost me 250$ for 120 lortab and 90 soma . i have been shot in my nech .point blank range and many other prolems.what do i do id love to save that extra 150 dollars sheesh. ## What is the reason they've given for not filling them? I tried to check for assistance programs for these medications, but I didn't find anything listed. Are you getting the name brand or the generic? ## I'm having the same issue Walgreens all of a sudden they say they no longer have a contract with my insurance. But I got my f'in flu shot there this past year? They said its been years but I filled a regular Rx not long ago. I think the don't want the hassle of pain medication refills.

How much would a prescription cost of 120 30mg oxycodone pills with no insurance? ## USE GOVMT DISCOUNT CARDS FROM SOCIAL SERVICES. ASK FOR DISCOUNT CARDS. GOD BLESS...THEY CUT YOUR COST 50%. ## @Jack, Costs tend to vary based on location as well (i.e. the same prescription in Canada may be pennies on the dollar in comparison to US prices). The same goes for those who utilize pharmacy coupons such as the one MedsChat offers here: Rx Savings Card This card in particular may save you anywhere from 15 to 75% off the typical cost. Something I don't know of however, is if these pharmacy coupons provide a different percentage of savings at different pharmacy chains (such as CVS vs Walgreens vs RiteAid, etc). So if I were you I'd consider calling up a few different pharmacies in your a...

In November, My dr. gave me two prescriptions for adderall. One for December, and one for January. My January one is dated the 15th, but I am going out of the country on the 13th. Would CVS be able to fill my prescription 3 days early? Otherwise, I would run out while in Mexico. I have been on the medication for over a year and take it as directed. ## Hi Matt, I just came across your message and it's now past January 15th. How did everything turn out with the early refill? Just for future reference, I think it may be best to call CVS directly and ask them about their policy for early refills. One would assume that it should be fine, considering your unique circumstances. However, if they ended up giving you any hassle over it, you could always contact your doctor to have him rewrite...

how much does a 30 mg oxycodone cost per pill at cvs pharmacy ## The cost of any particular medication may vary based on a wide variety of circumstances, including but not limited to one's location, the presence of insurance, an Rx Savings Card, being enrolled in patient assistance programs, choosing a specific manufacturer's brand or generic version, supply and demand, etc, etc... So I think in order for you to get the most accurate answer to your question, a visit to your local CVS may be the best option. It might also be a good idea to check around at other pharmacies to cost average and/or compare current prices. Hope this helps!

Pharmacy says it won't work on the free trial. What can I do? It's 125.00 for 14 days ## Can you try another pharmacy or another CVS store ? ## What pharmacy does the free trial, or is their away to get a coupon. I may have to switch to another pill that's not extremely high ## Aj, you have to get a coupon from the manufacturer. Pharmacys don't just give the meds to you without a script and a coupon from the manufacturer. Who told you that there was a Free Trial for this med? Some manufacturers have criteria that you must also meet, like you must prove that you are low income and have no insurance that will cover it.

WHICH MAJOR PHARMACY HONORS YOUR CARD? DOES CVS HONOR IT? ## Yes, CVS should honor this site's discount card and so should a lot of other pharmacies. If you go to the rx lookup page you should be able to pull a list of pharmacies within a certain distance of your zip code. The address to that is I know you asked this earlier in the month, but I hope it helps!

So I've been on suboxone for almost a year. I know no early fills and the whole deal. But this month it's been a fiasco. Last month dropped my rx off at Riteaid but got partial fills. The last partial fill was for 5 strips which is 4 days but in the system the tech put that it was 12 days because of that error when I brought it to CVS this month they fill half of it and charged me full amount. (Even with insurance it costs me a hefty penny). I asked the pharmacist and tech wHy my insurance didn't cover it, and she said it was a day to early. At that time it seemed odd since I hadn't had my daily dose because I had to make my appt a day later than usual. Frustrated they kept checking the system and told me I last filled 6 days ago for 12 days so I should be fine. I told h...

The CVS wont fill in Encinitas anymore. CVS, Walgreens and Walmart have company restrictions. No more orders until this State of California decision is changed or further notice. Even Pharmaca will only sell the spotted Activis Watson-and Allen pharmacy in San Diego won't special order them. Any other thoughts? I'm 3 days without and no one will fill my new rx. ## Hello, Sara! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. On top of the shortage that had already been created due to the dosage changes that were made this year, which caused some companies to stop manufacturing this medication, we are also into the end of the year and there is almost always a shortage from October into early in the new year. This is due to mandatory manufacturing limits, once ...

Does anyone know which generic manufacturer CVS commonly has in stock for both IR and XR Adderall (Amphetamine Salts)? I know they used to carry Mylan for the IR and it's awful. They also used to carry Actavis for the XR which is also terrible, but I don't have many pharmacy choices with my insurance.. and I'm nervous that I'm going to get stuck with Actavis/Mylan... if anyone has any info I'd appreciate it. I live in RI btw. Thank you! ## Different locations carry different manufacturers, brands and generics (and they are always subject to change). The only way to find out what a specific location carries is to go in person as if you are filling your prescription. You can always choose to not accept what they offer you and go somewhere else. I was informed by one of the pharmacists at the pharmacy window at the CVS in Medford, ny that they no longer carry this medication. Is that true? They have filled my scripts in the past and have even told me a few times that they wouldn't have it in for a couple days but they never said they no longer carry it. It is odd to me because it's a common medication. Even though I am prescribed ritalin, they usually always give me the generic. So I imagine they were referring to both. Does anyone know this to be true? I have tried to search this on the Web but have only found horror stories of CVS pharmacy ' s customer service and denying meds, nothing about them saying they don't have it anymore. ## Hello, Cyndi! who has been suboxone CVS or walgreens.I know thwy are generic but which is better of the two ## You're really asking a subjective question, because a generic that works well for one person may not work that well for you and vice-versa. What you really need to discover is which one works best for you. Learn more Suboxone details here. Have you had problems with any that you've tried? ## Walgreens or CVS has the exact same thing when it comes to suboxen, not sure what dose you are on but an 8mg suboxen strip will have 6mg of buprenorphine and 2mg of naloxone. ## The difference between the two.... Walgreens has the orange generics and cvs has the white generics. I had both and imo, they're exactly the same. But if I had to choose, I would go with walgreens only bc in my head I...
