Taking Hydrocodone for Depression

I am wondering if anybody else out there has taken Hydrocodone and noticed that symptoms of depression are alleviated? I find that many of today's anti-anxiety and antidepressant drugs come with unpleasant side effects, whereas while taking Hydrocodone they aren't there. The caveat to all of this is that yes, I know that Hydrocodone and opiates in general can be addictive. So long term use would result in withdrawal symptoms. I'm just wondering who else might agree with me on this? ## I have taken dozens of antidepressants as well as been prescribed antipsycotics and other meds for off-label usage, and nothing has worked effectively over the past 15 years. I will take hydrocodone for a chronic pain condition, and, YES, oh my goodness, YES, it seems to make me immune to a dep...

Fusion surgery pain management

Had back fusion surgery. Only 6 weeks of low dose norco. Ended up with nerve pain in my foot (zapping shocks that will take the strongest person down). Ortho doc said It would go away possibly in 6 weeks, maybe longer. Ortho surgeon they will never give anyone any opioids past 6 weeks no matter what. He tells me to go to pain management but he does not recommend or refer for any one of his patients to a pain management clinic. Says he does not want the responsibility of that. Truth is he doesn't want docs asking why he give very little pain meds or have his patients being referred back to him. He said to go to my regular doc. So I did see my regular doc and they said I have to go back to my surgeon as it's his responsibility. One time the pain was so bad I went to ER, they said ...

L5B3 Identified

I have a bottle of this, L5B3 and yes, I am Canadian. It is "Life" brand 650mg extended relief tablets of Acetaminophen for Arthritis Pain ## I am also from Canada and those pills L5B3 white oblong pills are as described. They are from Shoppers Drug Mart ## Does the L5B3 pill have codeine in it? ## Kirkland brand from Costco. Acetaminophen Arthritis Pain 650mg Extended-release up to 8 hour. Has L5B3 on it. ## So are they the same as tylenol 1? ## Are you asking if this has codeine in it? If so, then based on what Geri and Sylvain have described, it doesn't sound like it. Sounds like the only active ingredient is Acetaminophen 650mg.

Watson 853 White Pill

I have always taken the Watson 853 yellow pill and for some reason I was just given Watson 853 white pills. What is going on? Why the color difference? ## It seems from other posts made on here recently that Watson is just removing the dyes from some of their products. There have been some complaints from people that have had sensitivity or allergic reactions to them, so they have been doing away with them. However, as long as the imprint is the same and your pharmacy has listed it as being the same medication and the same dosage, then you shouldn't have any reason to worry. Are there any other questions or comments? ## Not the same for sure! ## I have experienced poor results with the white pills. If they are different and labelled the same then walgreens is liable for damages! ## ...

Hello... Does anyone know if i can take toradol for pain while on suboxone(5 mg/day)? ## Yes, you can. it isn't an opiate at all. Im on subutex and my doc lets me take toradol. Just don't use it for long term use. 5 days is max in a row. ## What is saboxin all prescribed for i know its for coming of herion but what else? because i know some ppl that get them and i know they were never on any sorta drug does any one know????? ## Toradol contains the active ingredient Ketorolac, this is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so yes, as long as your doctor has okayed it, it can be used with Suboxone or other narcotics. Common side effects may include: nausea, headache and stomach irritation, You can read more here: ## Suboxone contains the active ingredient Buprenorphine, this is a naro...

Fentanyl Patches Killing people!

I would like to know WHY the FDA has not taken the Fentanyl Patch off the market? This drug is being handed out like candy. Anyone who is not terminal or under Hospice care or in a hospital invironment should not be using this drug. Why would a person be prescribed a medication that is 80 times stronger than morphine for a backache. I do not believe patients know how powerful this medication is. The warning should be labled in RED. When are you FDA going to realize This medication is killing while relieving pain! I know because it killed my son. ## Very sorry to hear that you lost your son, from use of this medication. As to the warnings, those used by the FDA are black box warnings, to alert people to serious risks. While it can be dangerous, since it is so powerful and often abuse, it...

Hydrocodone/apap 10-325 manufacturers

For some 6-8+ years now, i have been taking 7.5/325 Hydrocodone (HYDROCO/APAP); generic name Qualitest. The pill is colored (pinkish/orange) with a "v" inscribed on one side; not 100% sure of Manufacturer; possibly NORCO or PAR P.; Qualitest has ALWAYS been the most reliable version of Vicodin/Hydrocodone. At any rate, much to my surprise several months ago, i had a script filled but when i opened vial, it was filled with WHITE (Watson) tablets; i was told that Qualitest was no longer available. The next morning (basically every morning) i awakened with a significant amount of pain and got myself up to take my normal/regular dose but after more than enough time for what would have relieved the pain; i felt NO relief whatsoever; after a second pill, i started to feel nauseous and...

hydrocodone acetaminophen 5 325 mallinckrodt

I have been taking 5-500 acetaminophen for my rheumatoid for a few years now with no issues and good blood test results every 3 to 5 months. My new insurance company just changed it to 3-325. I made doctor appointmntment but its 4.5 weeks away. Any advice or thoughts. this is the only change in my diet or medicine I can think of. ## Hello, Danny! How are you? Sorry about the problem that you're having. Actually, your insurance company cannot change your medication and/or dosage. That can only be approved by your doctor, even if there is something that they don't cover, or something is unavailable, any chang...

Oxycodone I8

I get 10 mg. Endocodil in Mexico made by BioGenTec. It is supposed to be the same as the oxycontin prescribed to me in the U.S. However it is not the time released version that I prefer, and is very expensive. Arubobindo is the name of the manufacture of those particular tablets. Can i alternate Tylenol 3 with codeine and norco?

Just need to know if I can alternate between norco and Tylenol 3 with codeine? I cannot get any more detailed than that ## Hello, Jenny! How are you? That can be done, as long as your doctor has prescribed them both for you and approves. Note the word ALTERNATE. They should not be taken at the same time. The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.
