I live in Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia. Diagnosed suffering from Degenerative Disc Disease, with Cervical Radiculopathy (one bulging disc) and Lumbar Radiculopathy (two bulging discs). These spinal problems are diagnosed by three (3) recent CAT Scans, with radiologist analyses. And yes, I have ALL of the CAT Scan CDs, and radiologist reports. I went to Frank Howard Bynes, M.D., a retired trauma surgeon, and practicing internal medicine M.D., here in Savannah, Ga, for help with severe pain control. I was written valid prescriptions for: Roxicodone 30 mg; Dilaudid 8 mg; Xanax 2 mg; Fentanyl 100mcg/hr transdermal patch; Soma 350 mg; Neurontin 800 mg. ALL, YES ALL local pharmacies, will NOT honor ANY of these prescriptions. I was a previous patient of David M. Nelson, M.D. here in Sava...

oxycodone IP 203

I have been taking Oxycodone for 3 years for my herniated disk in my upper back. I usually have been getting the ALV 196 (5mg) blue tablets but I can no longer find them at any pharmacy in Ohio where I live. The only brands that work for me are the ALV 196 or the IP 203 tablets. Does anyone know what pharmacy I can go to in Ohio to get the right perscription for myself? These are the only brands the help my pain. Please help!

Prescription Drug Coverage For Pain Management

In a recent comprehensive analysis of clinical and public health strategies for opioid therapy, a news article by the Journal of American Medical Association asks, "among US insurers, what are the coverage policies for pharmacologic treatments for low back pain?" Findings from their studies demonstrate the need for insurance companies to redesign their coverage policies in order to improve pain management protocol and reduce opioid-related conundrums. Their abstract outlines the importance of taking time to understand US insurer's medication coverage policies for the treatment of chronic (noncancer) pain and which medications these policies include. "Conclusions and Relevance - Given the effect of coverage policies on drug utilization and health outcomes, these findings ...

Ultrasound of right groin area showed nothing

I had an ultrasound and vaginal ultrasound looking for a mass in my right lower groin and abdominal area that was detected by two doctors and myself as I have very severe pain that makes my right leg give out. Neither of the ultrasounds showed anything. How can this be? ## Hello LauraG, This is an interesting question. Usually an ultrasound can detect all soft tissues as well as blockages in the body, which is why they use it to look for abnormalities. The only thing that comes to mind is that the thing is not a soft tissue or that the first two doctors were wrong. It's also worth noting that ultrasounds can be rather tricky because sometimes the images show a tissue in front of a different tissue which could be why they don't see anything. I'm sorry to hear that it hasn...

how long after taking kratom can you take suboxone

Hi I have been on suboxone for four weeks, before that I was on methadone for five years. I decided to try kratom to stop the suboxone but it isn't really doing much and I feel really lethargic and headaches. I took about 4-5gram of kratom at 8am, it's now 1:40pm"..I want to take some suboxone, will I get sick? Precipitated withdrawals? I've seen some people say they take suboxone after kratom and are fine, but, there isn't much out there on the topic. I just don't wanna get sick for I have a three ur old boy and Christmas is in two days ## I got no response but ended up taking 2mg suboxone at 2:30 and was fine...took another 1mg a little later and still fine...just a bit of a headache but I always get that from sunoxone ## It seems like no one can really answer ...

Doctors willing to prescribe heavy pain meds for my back and arthritis

Naturally I have a high tolerance for pain meds and a low tolerance for alcohol. Going on 9 months no alcohol as a health choice. I went and had a MRI done a week ago and still waiting for the results. Ibuprofen 800 mg - no way am I taking that much crap every day. My doc said she doesn't prescribe pain meds. Funny... So I'm here, I'll have the updated scan on my back and hope to know a good doctor that can help me with a better value of life. I would just rather take a little bit of something that works than hundreds of milligrams Tylenol. Isn't Ibuprofen 800mg a pain killer? ## Pain meds addictive as we know. Lots of people that live with pain. From experience don't get regular refills of opiate, you'll pay the piper eventually...that day will come. That's ...

lyrica class action lawsuit

If you have had an adverse reaction to Lyrica, please contact a law firm. I just called mine and gave them my basic information, and they will be having a lawyer contact us. This drug is dangerous, deadly, and should be pulled from the market. Amomg all the usual issues, today i noticed a new one had been added. For males, sperm motility can be affected and children created by parents using Lyrica, there is the possibility of birth defects. Please call and at least get on record with this firm. The more of us who call and tell our stories, the more likely it is that the drug company is going to have to cover our medical expenses, pain and suffering, etc. ## Who is the attorney and in which state? ## Hi are you in Australia or America I to would add my name and case if I am able to conta...

Big Pharma's Lockdown On Legitimate Chronic Pain Patients

Is narcotic pain medicine becoming a thing of the past? Why are doctors across America phasing out the practice of prescribing effective pain medication? Will big pharmaceutical companies ever truly understand what it's like to face the other side of the coin? Lately there's been a musty scent in the air surrounding the use of prescribed narcotic pain medication. Many doctors appear to be running scared as the DEA scours through fields of medical records, inspecting prescribing pads like a mouse scavenges for food in a dimly lit cellar. Should the day come when doctors recommend Ibuprofen to a feeble man who's been involved in a terrible car accident (breaking several bones / requiring extensive surgery), is this doctor at risk of malpractice when there are more effective op...

Help a week now looking for a pharmacist that will fill 30 mg oxycodone in the jax area. Any one having any luck please do.

Seems the only time you can get a prescription filled, if you can find a pharmacy that has them, is during the day. Catch 22 I can only manage my pain and work is with them but to get them you have to skip work, cross your fingers and fill up the gas tank and go hunting. What is the deal? What happened to the local wal greens that has filled my scripts for like 25 years. Now making me feel like my doctor is an outlaw and I'm hunting for illegal drugs. This is a legitimate script issued for long term cronic pain. ## If you mean JAX MS, then go to Brandon Discount Drugs, just a block off the downtown square area. They always filled mine when I lived there. Nice people too, fast service. ## I really wish I had an answer for you, but I don't. There have been many posts about problem...

What is stronger - Dilaudid or Opana?

What is stronger, a Dilaudid 8mg or Opana 10mg? I was taking Dilaudid 8mg every 6 hrs for six months and then the pain would come back in three hours. My doctor has switched me to Opana 10mg er and this is the second day... I am in so much pain. How long will it take for Opana to be effective? I'm suffering, help. ## Hello, Dana! How are you doing? I am so sorry that you're in pain. You need 10.67 mgs of the Opana to equal each 8mgs you were taking of the Dilaudid, so the 10mg ER is not an equivalent dose, which likely explains your problem. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you contacted your doctor? You need to let them know that this dose...

Doctors pain medications

No one wants to prescribe controlled substances to you people on an ongoing basis because it is wrong!! I am a provider and see people like you all the time who go from practice to practice with your stories trying to get narcotics. You need to go to drug rehab, find a psychiatrist, do physical therapy, lose weight, and get a job!! This is no way to live and we do not want to jeopardize our licenses feeding into your addiction. I have personally been in three serious car accidents (none were my fault) and have had back surgeries, injections, PT etc. but have NEVER taken controlled substances except for two days after surgery. I have chronic back pain but I exercise and take care of myself and go on with my life!! Evidence-based practice tells us that narcotics are no better and pain con...

Oxycodone blue pill a 51

How effective are the A51 blue oxycodone pills? Does it work like the mbox 30's V's Or A215??? ## Hello, Chris! How are you? Yes, this is a 30mg regular release Oxycodone tablet, equivalent to Roxicodone, just like the others you mentioned. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I don't want to burst anybody's bubble but the A51's are 150% different than if you were taking the blues that are 30 milligrams no matter if they are the M boxes the a214 ,the V's ,or the k9. You CANNOT abuse them. they have an opiate blocker in them for safety regulations called naloxone...... they are made so you ca...

Chronic Pain patients must get organized to lobby for their rights.

People with chronic, intractable pain are being discriminated against and it is imperative that we join forces to fight for our civil rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Please send information on existing associations and organizations that can help or how to establish one that can help pain patients fight for their rights with petitions, letters; emails to send to these state and federal politicians that are determined use prescription drugs, doctors and pharmacies to further their political careers. Drug abuse is not the same as opiate dependent because of chronic pain management and there are over 100 million people living with pain and many of us are unable to live without medication. If the deaths from abuse seems high, the suicides from pain patients that are un...

Tramadol 100mg from Mexico

Please someone tell me if Tramadol 100mg from Mexico is pink, round, and has no imprint except a line down the middle for breaking in half. ## To be honest, there are so many pills from Mexico that are claimed to be many different things and with their lack of drug regulations and no imprints on them, it's very difficult to even take a guess at what the tablets might contain. Learn more Tramadol details here. They could be Tramadol, but the only way to know for sure would be to pay to have them lab tested somewhere. Did you order them online, or actually get them in Mexico? ## My friend bought them in Mexico. They seem legitimate as far as packaging and manufacturer. I just wish they weren't plain. ## I purchased 100 mg white capsules in Mexico. I feel no different when taking t...
