I am trying to find a doctor in Salem, Oregon who will do a pain contract for pain management for multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, failed back surgery syndrome, brachioplexus neuropathy and palsy, to get my quality of life back. I was on MS Contin 30 mg x 3 and Oxycodone 5 mg for breakthrough. ## Hi, If you're wanting to get on Suboxone call Wellness And Recovery at 503-589-0539 in Salem, Oregon. They're the only clinic licensed to prescribe Suboxone for pain. It's $200 cash every month though. They don't take any insurance. They will give you a receipt that you can turn into your insurance to see if they will reimburse you. The doctors name is Dr. Hellman. Their are lots of reviews of her online, all good.

My doctor moved recently and prescribed me 80 Vicodin a month for pain, and I can't find a doctor that will prescribe this. Anyone know any understanding doctors? ## Hello, Melissa! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. Well, you can't really shop for a new doctor according to what they will prescribe for you. If you call a doctor and ask them about prescribing such a medication, upfront, most won't even let you get in the door, because they are taught to view that as being drug seeking behavior. Additionally, 80 tablets is not a normally prescribed quantity. 2 a day would be 60 and 3 a day would be 90. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dr...

Does anyone know of a good Dr that will prescribe pain meds in Salem, OR? ## Hello, Renee! How are you doing? Due to the new regulations that were set forth by the DEA last year, you'll most likely need to see a pain management specialist, a general practitioner won't prescribe controlled substances, except in very rare instances, such as when a person has intractable pain from a possibly fatal condition, such as stage 4 cancer. Do you currently have a PCP that might be able to refer you to someone? If so, that might be the quickest and easies way to find the help you need. Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area?

I moved to Winston Salem about 18 months ago. I'm currently driving 5 hours each month to see a primary care Dr who prescribes me fentanyl 100mcg x 48 hours + oxycodone 20mg 3day for breakthrough pain (which I feel I need to be bumped up bc since my gastric bypass my stomach only absorbs 1/3 of anybody oral meds). I'm a 3 time cancer survivor and barely make it doing regular household functions. I also have pinched sciatica nerves slipped disk herniated rupture disks cluster headaches degenerated disk disease. I'm willing to drive a couple hours away and can pass all pill counts and drug checks. I prefer a primary care that treats pain or a pain management doctor w self referral. are the white m30 with the no#114 on the side of tablet, are they saleable like the blue ones with the m on back?. ## Hi Kieth, From what I could gather, the blue M30's and white 114's both contain 30mgs of Oxycodone. The most notable difference is that M30 is made by Mallinckrodt and 114 is made by Mylan Pharmaceuticals. Additionally, M30 tablets have a different set of inactive ingredients (otherwise known as binders/fillers). They contain: FD&C Blue No. 2, stearic acid, lactose monohydrate, and microcrystalline cellulose. The white pills with 114 also contain the following fillers: stearic acid, corn starch, silicon dioxide, microcrystalline cellulose, and lactose monohydrate. What is it about them that makes you question their efficacy?

I am new to the Salem area and went to the Salem's women clinic hoping that I would be able to get the same kind of compassionate care I received in Klamath Falls. I have been twice to see the prescriber and she keeps saying, we will discuss it next time you come in for blood work. First it was if you stop smoking we will talk about it, so I am on a smoking cessation program and now this. But I find it very ironic that they will give botox, lip suction, and offer their nutrition plan at a couple hundred dollars a month, but won't prescribe a diet aid for someone who needs help with appetite suppressant. I'm so frustrated that I am not being listened too. I am not drug seeking, I am 5ft 5 and 1/2 and weigh 211lbs so my BMI is well within range for this product. I am not oppos...

How are sales of Axiron performing? ## This is a question you'd have to ask the actual manufacturer. Quite possibly your pharmacist can provide this type of information about Axiron, but I wouldn't count on it being anything but local information based on that pharmacy's sales. Below are links to the manufacturer's official webpage for contact and informational resources: Please post back if you have any other questions or comments to add.

Hi, I live in Salem, Oregon. Ive been on methadone for about 9 years now. recently my medication got seriously wet. Ill be 4 days short now on my meds because my new doctor is new and won't do an early refill. Ive withdrawn once in the past. Im really scared. Is there a way to lesson the withdrawals. Id like to not have to go through it at all ## Hello, Ellen! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having. In the future, please store your medications in a location where they can't get wet. Most doctors, even if you aren't new to seeing them, will not provide an early refill. Their prescribing practices are very closely monitored by the government. Did you ask them about possibly cutting the tablets to lower your dosage for a few days? That might he...

65 yr old life long traveling salesman living in motels town after town in stranger and strange places and always have had insomnia. Started in early 80s taking placidyl if spelled correctly then switched in 2000 to halcion. Now over the counter and I get very little sleep. ## Hello, Vic! How are you? Are you a frequent flyer, or often crossing time zones? It is well know that doing so can cause insomnia in some people. Many people have good luck using Melatonin to help reset their internal clock and, as reported by the FDA, it is basically side effect free, though some people may experience a little nausea. It is, however, always best to check with your physician, before taking anything. What are you currently trying to treat it?

Hi there, i work in a highly stressful sales/marketing retail job. I've been using urbanol to handle the stress and cycling helps a lot. But i started using concerta to be more productive with the short time i have available for the marketing. Will concerta effect my cycling or should i take it after my morning routine, as i tend to cycle at 75%+ heart rate efficiency "spelling"? Also the concerta seems to promote irritability in me. Should i split my urbanil intake over the day? My dosages are 18mg concerta in the morning, 10mg urbanol at 10ish when the day starts going and again at 1 or whenever i need it through the day. Some hectic days id take 4 urbanol at 2h intervals. Is that not advisable? I do that like once every 2 weeks. ## I have been taking concerta dose 18 and ...

I am seeking help. I am from the Winston-Salem area of North Carolina. I am an addict of 18 years. It is time to quit. I have friends who have left the addiction circle. They have successfully taken buprenorphine. Here is my problem. I am severely allergic to the blocker in suboxone - naloxone. It is not an option for me. I have a dear friend who gave me her remaining subutex tablets. She tapered off and is clean and doing well now. I have been clean for 1 week which is a PHENOMENAL accomplishment for me! I am afraid of what will happen if I cannot find a doctor who will prescribe the subutex. Please, will someone out there lead me in the direction of a Physician/MD/Doctor that will write me Subutex?
