I just started taking this medicine for weight loss. I am having hot flashes and cold chills, terrible headache and a tingly head. I feel awful. Has anybody taken this and had the same reaction? Since I started phentermine a week and a half ago I can tell that even my sweat pants are looser in my belly. I have had sadness/mood change that's began 5 days after and extreme exhaustion as well as extreme neck/back/shoulder stiffness/pain. Also 3 nights earlier this week while lying in bed I went to speak back at a voice that wasn't there and waved at someone that wasn't there! Haha kinda funny but a lil unnerving. I took phentermine and my UA CAME BACK CLEAN FOR METHAMPHETAMINE, but now they just did a hair sample. Will it test positive for methamphetamine? It's explainable if it does in the hair, but only if it's for amphetamine. I am in so much trouble. ## Most urine tests are not meant to pick up phentermine, especially a urine dip test like you would use at home. Also, most hair test are looking for specific chemical compounds called metabolites and if the metabolites are not there then the test will not show it in the results (negative). In order for a hair test to be positive it will have to have methamphetamine or amphetamine in the hair. I have a spouse who has been a patient at an area Weight Loss MD clinic for many years. She has been on and off Phentermine throughout that time. I spoke to two representatives at Weight Loss MD and was very dismayed to learn that their physicians would not necessarily withhold prescribing Phentermine to a long-term alcoholic. Alcoholism is considered to be a drug addiction. My spouse has been abusing alcohol since she took her first drink, about 40 years ago. Can I find Preludin in progressive mexico? ## Hi Michelle, Based on my research, Preludin (phenmetrazine) was actually discontinued a long time ago because of its wide spread abuse. I don't know if there's anything else like it on the market in Mexico, but you could always contact the manufacturer (Boehringer Ingelheim) directly for more specific details involving the availability of something similar. Medications like Phentermine are also in the same drug class as Preludin (known as phenethylamine). If you're facing any challenges with your weight, it probably wouldn't be too difficult to find a doctor who would prescribe it here in the US. So that may be something to consider as well if you're unable to find left over boxes of Preludin anywhere. I hope this helps! ...

This is my second day taking Acxion. It is 1:39 am and I can't sleep. Is this a side effect or something else? By the way I filled a prescription for Acxion in Mexico, is the same quality, because is the same lab. ## Yes, Phentermine/Acxion has been known to have a stimulating effect on most people that take it, so the FDA lists its side effects as possibly including headache, nausea, dizziness, insomnia, and nervousness. I found expired Phentermine in my bedroom. They must be at least 3 years old. Are they still good? ## While I do agree that certain medications are actually okay to take after expiration, there are others such as antibiotics that can become toxic. Nothing lasts forever without expressing signs of degeneration. The only real way to know how long phentermine can maintain its potency after expiration would be to have it lab tested periodically. My personal assumption is that it lost a good percentage of its potency by now, having been at least 3 years old. We all know that it's better to avoid expired meds and stay on the safe side, but unfortunately, the only way to find out is to actually try it, if you can't get it lab tested. The label says 'phentermine' but it is a small round pink pill. I have searched many databases but most phentermine pills are white and blue. Can anyone help me identify this pill? ## Are there any markings on the tablet? If there aren't, it is going to be impossible to positively identify it. There are just far too many possibilities. I have been tapering off Phentermine for months now. I went from 37.5 mg a day to 30 mg a day for a month, then to 15 mg a day for a month, then 15 mg every other day for a month. I have three more weeks left and I'm getting worried about what's happening. Feeling hungry, a little gain, but it's under control, for now...). I take Verapamil for high blood pressure and was recently prescribed Phentermine. Are they safe to take together? ## There is nothing listed against using them together, however, your doctor should be keeping a close eye on your blood pressure while you are using the Phentermine, since it is an Amephetamine class medication and can cause blood pressure issues for some people. Side effects can include: nausea, irritability, headache and insomnia. Have these both been prescribed by the same doctor? ## So I was on Phentermine since the end of October and had to stop taking it because my blood pressure went up. Hi everyone. I'm new to phentermine (today will be the 4th half of a 37.5 MG pill) and I must say it's giving me some energy. I've had a couple palpitations but nothing horrible. I've got weird back pain, like in the kidney area bilateral sides of my back. It's not constant and usually occurs in the morning. I certainly don't want kidney problems but didn't really see that listed in side effects.
