Subutex Dr In Johnson City Or Kingsport Tn (Page 9)

Updated

Hey, I am looking for a doctor that will prescribe me subutex in Tennessee - johnson city or kingsport. I was going out of town to even have my doctor and they have me prescribed to 32 mg a day. Well they would not let me reschedule my appointment and now told me I need a new doctor. This is devastating to me because I have been doing so good. If anyone can help me please let me know.

They don't do 4 a day now unless they write for pain in the script.. Which that's hard to find now with the laws. I was on it for 4yrs ..4x a day and 2mg ks 2x daily... but he knew i was a legitimate patient who has stuff wrong with chronic pain, but he is retired so now I can't find anyone.. I saw where u said u knew a couple places that will prescribe.. Plz lmk where i could go. In return i can give u a few pharmacies that will fill em and takes new patients too.

Hey, I am trying to get clean. I did this a year ago with the help of Tex. I tried with Suboxone and it made me extremely anxious, itchy, felt like I was having a heart attack and that was every time I took it. I had broken the box into 48 pieces ?? So I know it wasn't because I was taking too much. I really would appreciate knowing a dr that writes subutex in the Johnson city area because I believe I am allergic to the Naloxone. Please, any help is appreciated.

bossy (# 12) -
I find it sad that addicts won't help other addicts. They know what it's like ,..you'd think compassion and empathy would prevail. When you've dealt with this disease 20 yrs , you know what works for Youvc

I couldn't agree more bossy! It's like we gotta stand firm and share what we know because it seems to be even if u get a dr you aren't guaranteed you'll have a pharmacy that is something that is so crazy! Nobody has a fighting chance. And some pharmacys look down on pple getting these meds when they've been a life saver for me! I do them the way I'm suppose to. Seems there should be more help out there!

*Subutex Doctor in JC* (Address and more)

There is also a new methadone clinic in gray, tn not far from johnson city. It's the only one in gray, tn and I think they are only accepting patients who are already in the process of trying to get clean, but I've heard they take new patients as well - if you are looking to go that direction for recovery (to anyone on this thread). I don't so much care for methadone, tried it once and it made me a totally different person and have heard the withdrawals are even worse! I am not sure how accurate that is, but I do know coming off of suboxone is very hard. I have been going to the doctor for 2 years now after 8 years of being on suboxone but am slowly by choice being lowered. At first I went to just go so I could quit buying through other means, but since I have been going to a licensed doctor it seems that I want to come off of them; maybe it's the meetings - they aren't mandatory where I go but they help me! It's not a fun drug to be on. In fact it only makes me feel normal anymore and that's fine with me as long as im not in pain, but I have 5 of the many side effects that are listed on my medication and my doctor will still not prescribe me subutex even after being given a drug panel every week for 2 years and never failing once. I understand it's for women who are pregnant. I've never had a another drug addiction to be honest. I have on some other pain pills just here and there but not actually addicted, but mostly it's just being from suboxone. I've even explained that to my current doctor including the side effects as well and one of my side effects includes feeling like I'm going to faint and it's only when I take suboxone.

I was going to a doctor in johnson city, tn and I'll just go ahead and tell you now it is recovery associates - (dr. Herrin) - no other doctor in there will write subutex there but him; maybe doctor williams at the same place. Dr. Herrin owns the clinic also. There is one located in kingsport, tn (also recovery associates). Its off of exit 23 in johnson city, tn. You have to be just straight flat out honest. It may take u the 2nd or 3rd time, maybe not, but I had to stop going there just because I did want to get clean and couldn't handle the atmosphere there with people selling drugs in the parking lot. They do prescribe klonopin as well, to anyone who wants to try and go and get subutex. I told him I had chronic back pain and I do and subxone puts small blisters in my mouth and makes me feel as if im going to faint. I dont mind giving this information out because some actually do need subutex instead of suboxone.

The address for dr. Bomar herrin (phone # 423-232-0222) is: 401 e main st #3, johnson city, tn 37601. When I started it was 150.00 first visit and weekly after that was 100.00. I dont remember other prices but, if your honestly looking to get clean, unless they have cleaned it up it's about the worst place to go (unless you keep to yourself its the best and they will help you get clean) random drug panels for the reasons above. The suboxone doctor I go to, he's a good guy, u just have to tell him when to bring u down because he doesn't force you. You are drug paneled every single time u go, also your temperature is taken & they weigh you as well and take your blood pressure and keep notes of everything you talk about with the doctor. He has me on 9 different prescriptions! Which is outrageous but I get filled what I need - heartburn meds and the usual probably 4 out of 9 and I told him that's all I take and he still writes them! This suboxone doctor is a neurologist. His name and phone number is: dr. Ray w. Mettetal, jr.- addiction medicine. Phone number: 423-262-8351. Address: 3201 bristol hwy, suite 4 johnson city, tn (25.00 to make an appointment and that holds your place so the first visit is 75.00 and then its 100.00 weekly. Bi-weekly is 175.00. Monthly is 300.00. He is kinda like a primary care doctor as he takes care of other problems u have as well - adhd and so forth.

So can someone please point me in the direction of a Doctor who does write Subutex? After all I have written for others, please help me. {edited for privacy}. These Suboxone are making me so sick after so long being on them. I've never had such bad side effects. I don't even like Subutex more but at least I won't feel like passing out and being dizzy.

Here's what I've learned over the past month, they have cracked down so hard they ask you do you live in the city the pharmacy is in? Does the dr prescribe in that city also. Then another pharmacy told me a dr up in Kingsport is too far to be filled it was like 47 miles. So I'm thinking they are trying to keep the patients, pharmacy and dr in same city.

Is there a good doctor someone could genuinely recommend for suboxone in JC or tri-cities in general that won't end up costing a fortune? I've been going to a clinic in Virginia but I literally can't keep up the expense. The visit alone wipes me out financially, and I'm scraping by just to afford the script, after. I have insurance but I've been scared to go to a doctor because I'm concerned the stigma that comes with suboxone will get back to my employer & could possibly jeopardize my job. I'm literally at a cross-roads tho. This has been the one med that legitimately helps with my chronic pain & migraines but I literally can't afford the meds @ this point. I would greatly appreciate any advice you could share. Is this something I could actually utilize my insurance for? Are there decent doctors out there that seem to care? Is there something I can do differently to not be drowning in debt just to afford my medicine?

Re: Nessa (# 169) Expand Referenced Message

He will write them. He did for me any ways I was not pregnant. Suboxone make me very dizzy and feel as if I'm going to faint...And I have chronic back pain and that’s what I told him. He owns recovery associates.. I don't think it would be okay for you to call and make an appointment and ask if they did prescribe subutex because that's what you need; but what you do need to do is get in there and request for dr. Herron and talk to him about what's going on -not the receptionist because they will either not give you an appointment or tell you that he doesn't do it. But I know for a fact that he does and he did for me and he started me out at 14. This was 3 years ago and I know they have cracked down but I do know that he writes them. He didn't write them for a lot of people in johnson city but I was one of the few he did write them for because I was just straight-up and honest so there's no reason for me to lie. That's the doctor I go to now. He is strongly against abtech. His name is dr. Mettetal. It is a great place for recovery. He does not push any kind of meetings on you but prefers you did go to meetings of course but you will sit in the waiting room sometimes for an hour and a half. That's not all the time but that's about 25% of the time. You are given a drug panel every time at dr. Mettetal's office. It's called addiction recovery at recovery associates where dr. Herring is. All doctors there are mainly nice except the one that I never really got along with was dr. Williams and he's kind of an a**hole but dr. Mettetal does want to see you get clean and he does not lower you unless you ask. He wants it to be on your own terms, whereas dr. Herron with recovery associates lowers you pretty quick after the first month. They will lower you almost once every week after a month or every two weeks. I'm sorry.

Re: Jamie (# 173) Expand Referenced Message

If you are looking for a great suboxone doctor in johnson city, tennessee there is a doctor whose name is dr. Mettetal and the name of the clinic is called addiction medicine. He is a really good doctor. He has never lowered me unless I've asked him to. He kind of lets you do it on your own terms. He will not and I mean will not whatsoever write subutex. He will tell you to go somewhere else. Your first visit is $75. That is because you have to go in and fill out an application and pay $25 up front and they will give you your appointment day which could be that week or even maybe that day. They keep that $25 because in case you don't turn up they are starting to get more crowded so it takes away from the money that they could be making pretty much is what I think, but as long as you turn up for your first visit all you have to bring is your $75 because you already paid $25 so really your first visit is $100, that's all. It's a hundred a week. $175 every two weeks and $300 a month. He will start you out probably at 18, it just depends, but no lower than 18 I would think. He does also help with things like insomnia, back pain, anxiety, just to say it this way he's got me on nine different prescriptions and I only take 4.

He's also help me with my adhd and I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to take adderall with suboxone but he writes it for me. He's a regular neurologist and he also went to school for addiction medicine. He is an older man in his early sixties and he is the only doctor at that site. They do give you drug panels every single week and as long as you don't have anything in your system other than your medicine you will be fine. He's not really against marijuana so I'm not sure if you smoke but just letting you know. They take your blood pressure, they weigh you and check your temperature as well. It doesn't take them long for them to do that type of thing but it is at every week or every time you go process. You have to go for 4 weeks before you can go for a full month because he kind of wants to get your full evaluation, but if you live in virginia he will let you go immediately per month just because of the drive and I'm sure since you're from kentucky he will do that for you as well. The receptionist can be very blunt sometimes but she is a nice woman. She is old as well and they have one nurse in the lab area. It's not really ever crowded. The most people that's in there at a time in the waiting room is usually three but the waiting time is what really really sucks. I have waited an hour and a half one time but they try to get you back there as soon as possible. The doctor sometimes talks on the phone and that's what also holds it up but like I said he is a good doctor. If you want a great suboxone doctor that's who I would solely recommend. Since you said you had chronic back pain he does prescribe neurontin as well. If you have anxiety he does prescribe klonopin. If you have sleep insomnia he will prescribe you seroquel probably and either way he will more than likely write you a prescription for gerd and he tells you the correct way to take your suboxone because so many people don't know the actual correct way and you will get the full amount you're supposed to.

Like I said his name is dr ray w mettetal and the clinic is called addiction medicine in johnson city tennessee. You will have to look up the number online because I don't have it on me but she will tell you when to come in and fill out paperwork and when you go in take $25 with you. He does not prescribe the strips unless that's what you want. He prescribes the tablets. So whichever your first visit will be probably an hour and a half long. I was talking to him for an hour. 45 minutes to an hour is more likely now than it used to be when he first was getting started because they have a lot more people now, but he just wants to know about your addiction pretty much, about your life, you know what you've been through and that kind of thing. Whatever he asks you if you don't feel comfortable saying it be honest and tell him because that's what I do. Watch what you say because I have heard him repeat and also the receptionist which is the manager repeat other people's business. So don't say anything you don't want anyone else to know. He takes notes every time you're there. He checks your suboxone level almost every week or when you get sent out to the lab -which the lab is there, they just send your paperwork out and they get it by time you come back the next time. He will write you what you need. The first time it's not just a consultation, he will write you right then and just be honest with him. Like I said he can read people pretty well so I really wouldn't get on anybody's bad side down there. If you fail 3 drug panels you will be kicked out. If you disrespect the coworkers there you will be kicked out. You will sign a paper about them having a pill count and all that but they don't do that. You just have to sign it anyway. So I hope this helps. It's a very good suboxone doctor. I'm not going to lie it's worth the money and it's cheap and you have someone to talk to. A doctor that actually listens to what you want to talk about or need to.
