Actavis Clonazepam vs Other Generics

My 89 year old Mom has been on Clonazepam for years for sleep. The Actavis seems to work better for her than even the brand name Klonopin. She has had great difficulty finding another comparable version ever since Teva bought Actavis. She has tried several other generics as well without success. Thank you. ## I'm stuck to. I'm in withdrawal I had the pink one for 5 years, now, I can't focus, feel dizzy, off on general. Don't have a clue what to do. ## Under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, generics are allowed to differ from the name brand by as much as plus or minus 20% in the amount of the active ingredients. The problem, however, is that they don't have to measure against each other, which means one generic could be higher, or lower than another, and it could even co...

Clonazepam ingredients Mylan brand vs Teva vs Accord

Please help with this, i have taken the mylan brand for several years, when the pharmacy could no longer order it they ordered Teva, it immediately gave me pains that seemed to be in my chest....kind of the opposite of what it's supposed to do. So with Mylan being available though only two pharmacies, someone mentioned accord...but what is the difference of fillers. could you simply list all the ingredients for all three brands so if Accord matches Mylan i'm ok? ## Hi Eric, Sorry to hear about your experience with the different makers of Clonazepam. I hope you've gotten around to feeling better since the timing of your post. As far as inactive ingredients are concerned, listed below are the National Drug Codes for each manufacturer's version of Clonazepam. If you click o...

Tapering from Klonopin

Hello, I've been taking 2 mg of Clonzepam for about 5 yrs. If I go longer than four days without it, I can't function. While I do have panic disorder, I'm fairly certain the feelings/actions are withdrawl. In the past month I've been able to taper down to 1.5, and I want to continue until I'm no longer dependent on the drug. I need a realistic schedule on tapering/detox, and do I just fight through the withdrawls (i.e. fingers, arms, hands curling, numbness, anxiety, etc) My Dr doesn't get it...I'm in the process of finding another, but some help in the interim would be great. ## To the person who was taapering off clonazapam. I hope you are doing it slow enough. I take 5mg down from 6 and drop half a pill once a month per Doctors orders. I have had no side e...

Clonazepam "Help"

I've been taking clonazapam for 17 yrs now for my epilepsy! This last visit with my Neurologist went sour, due to the abuse of clonazapam he discontinued my medicine treating me as if I was nothing. Well I started seizing and went to get help in the er, the doctor said they don't prescribe this type of drug in the er. I'm in tears. I've threatened suicide and still received no help and that's when I thought my world was falling apart. I have never in my life abused this medication nor have they had any positive results of abusing this medication, I hate and I know its wrong to insinuate that someone is misusing a medication. I'm taking this complaint to the top until I'm satisfied. This has kept my seizures under control all these years?? I refuse to go down ...

clonazepam ingredients solco brand vs actavis

I have been taking TEVA clonazepam .5 for years and it was very effective! Now I hear that TEVA does not make it anymore. I was prescribed it via ACCORD mfg with very poor results... headaches, nervous, and more. I hear that the are also SOLCO and AVTIVIS mfg. I need some input re which one would be better... or any others. I heard that the inactive ingredients have a lot to do with it. I also know ACCORD is made in China and have heard some horror stories about their clonozepam. ANY INPUT GREATLY APPRECIATED!! ## Hi Johnny, You're spot on about the inactive ingredients having a lot to do with the medication efficacy. In Canada the drug labels actually refer to them as "non-medicinal ingredients" instead of stating "inactive", and I think this is because they do affe...

Teva Clonazepam

What does clonazepam have in it to make it fall under the controlled substance act? I have been taking this medication for some time. I was told it has a controlled substance in it. What is it? ## Hello, Mimi! How are you? Clonazepam itself is the controlled substance, it is a benzodiazepine that carries the risk of being habit forming, so the FDA and DEA make sure it is regulated. It may also cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I've been taking it for sometime myself. I use to wonder why myself. I'm extremely sensitive to different brands. I have been suffering for the last four months because the brand I always used drastically changed something in the ingredients. Just wondering if you have probl...
