Suboxone and NyQuil

I have had a couple of bad colds and the flu over the last 6 months. I took NyQuil b cause it's a multi symptom cold and flu reliever. What a surprise when I took it with the suboxone, it helped me better with the pain I expierence. I suffer from multiple medical problems and had many surgeries. Now, I'm not saying 2 go and do this 4 nothing, but, it has really helped me. ( maybe, b cause of the liquid acetaminophen in it. Has anyone else done this or noticed it? ## Never tried it but good to know! ## There's actually not any Acetaminophen in NyQuil, but I do suspect that the antihistamine/hypnotic properties of Doxylamine (in NyQuil) could be one thing that's providing an additional sense of pain relief. The only other active ingredient in NyQuil is Dextromethorphan, wh...

how long should i wait to take suboxone after methadone

I take 50mg of methadone everyday for 3 years went up as high as 200 mg but tapered down to 50 but for the last month I have dosed once every 3 days so I have been without methadone for 3 days now when can I take my dose of suboxone utterly scared of pre withdrawal please help ## Hello, Randy! How are you? You have to be in full withdrawal, before taking Suboxone, or it may throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals, unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I also am on methadone ..and I can tell you...

What pain medication could my doctor prescribe (Hepatitis C)

What narcotic pain meds could my doctor safely prescribe as someone who has been diagnosed with Hepatitis C? Also, I have been prescribed Suboxone. Is this a problem with this diagnosis? I have a terrible doctor who manages to see 20 patients in less than an hour by ushering us all in and out in 5 minutes or I haven't been able to ask her. ## Zydot, Unfortunately in your position the issue isn't with time management or your Hep-C . You must find another provider concerned enough about your welfare to treat you with the respect you deserve. There are narcotic pain meds that can be safely utilized but if your already receiving suboxone I question the effectiveness that these Rx's would have on your pain. Seek a referal for a competent medical provider as they will ass...

Cheap Suboxone/Subutex doctors in Louisiana

I am looking for a doctor who prescribes suboxone in the New Orleans, slidell Louisiana area. I am a single mom with no insurance, can't afford 350 a visit and prescription cost. My kids have medicaid but I don't. Thanks. ## Suboxone treatment is still pretty new, so I am not aware of any doctors that offer cheaper prices, because they do have to maintain special approval and monitoring to treat patients with it. Learn more Suboxone details here. If you're looking for a cheaper alternative, you might want to check into Methadone clinics in your area, as it is usually much cheaper, since it's been used for a very long time. Side effects of suboxone

I have been on suboxone now for just under a month. I think it is an amazing drug, i have had no cravings or interest in returning to opiates, my drug of choice was oxy. I get up every day feeling happy, and am able to take on what ever the day brings me. I am also on lexapro for depression at this time. There is one problem after i take my dose, which is 8 mg. twice a day, I am extremely tired sometimes to the point where if i sit down I will nod off, so I keep moving and can usually fight through it. I am wondering do other people feel this way or does it get better the longer you are on it? Two other things that are sometimes very bothersome are dizzyness and extreme dry mouth. I just wanted to find out other peoples experiences. Thanx ## Hey yea I get the same nod as you, it starts ...

Withdrawal from opiates

Why do you think docs prescribe Suboxone or Methadone for opiate withdrawal, make patients stay on it until they are completely addicted to it for years, then have to treat them to come off it? Why don't they treat a 5 day opiate withdrawal with a benzo to sleep, clonidine, gabapentin, trazodone for a week or two instead. It would sure help society not be addicted to Suboxone. Worst drug ever. ## Most people, even if they are addicted, can't just take a ton of medications to try and sleep through their withdrawals and be out of work for that length of time. Treatment with Suboxone or Methadone enables them to still work and be productive, while undergoing addiction treatment and, unlike Methadone, Suboxone usually enables most people to eventually become completely drug free, al...
