How long after you stop Suboxone do you have withdrawal symptoms?

My 63y/o mother survived chemo and radiation for throat cancer but was unable to stop the morphine 15mg twice a day without horrible withdrawal symptoms. Her MD put her on Suboxone 8mg/2mg once a day in June. She even took half the strip on most days and the doctor was very pleased and anticipated that she would be able to stop altogether in November. She unfortunately had a stroke 14 days ago and has been in the hospital. The first 7 days she was confused from the stroke but now she is weak and forgetful but is no longer disoriented. She told me tonight that she thought she needed her Suboxone. She said she thought she was going thru withdrawal. I was floored. She is not having any outward signs of withdrawal: no back/stomach pain, no nausea/vomiting, no sweating or tremors. Isn't ...

I am on 2 1/2 strips a day and my doctor has been wanting to lower my dose however I have so much going on that I am really nervous to do so. I have lately been dealing with my daughter on my own her father just didn't show me the respect I deserved and he wasn't willing to work to support our daughter so we separated and now I am left on my own with all the finances out daughter and looking for employment which this all just recently happened since the last time I saw my doctor on top of that my daughter has medical issues due...

stopping suboxone after taking only month

If I have only been taking 8 mg. of suboxone a day for one month, can I stop suddenly without withdrawals? ## No, it will still most likely cause some withdrawals, if you stop abruptly. As listed by the FDA, the withdrawal effects may include nausea, dizziness, fever, chills, rebound pain and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I would assume you would have a typical withdrawal scenario. NEVER make a decision on medication on whether to change dosages (in this case significant) on your own ESPECIALLY going off anything cold turkey after being on the med for a month. Depending on the medication, there can be some severe consequences. Not necessarily for Suboxone but I personally think you should talk with your physician about it. I'm not sure how it works but if you ...

can kissing cause someone to show positive for suboxone

I kiss my wife many times daily. Suddenly my dr said i had suboxone in my urine. How? By kissing? ## I showed positive for suboxone from kissing my wife. How is this possible? ## Hello, Roger! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having. And I think that kissing someone that's taking it regular may cause someone to show positive for various medications. I was actually just reading about it a few days ago. The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. It is most commonly used to treat drug addiction. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Roger, I think it might be possible, but I also think unlikely...

Gabapentin and Suboxone Drug Interaction

I take 4 mgs of suboxone everyday and it's been like 5 hours since I took my suboxone. Is it ok to take a gabapentin? ## The FDA recommends that they usually not be taken together, since they can both cause depression of the central nervous system, which could lead to severe health consequences and has been known to cause death, in some case. Have they both been prescribed for you? Are you on any other medications? ## Yes, Neurontin 10 yrs, Suboxone 4 months and not one problem. There's more to the story. She complaines about everything I do and take and refused to give them to me, yet another Walgreens did. She hates me. And now has cost me 60$ more than I usually paid. I am so frustrated and don't know where to go from here. ## Yes u can, gabapentin is not a controlled sub...

I'm on suboxone and would like 2 chat with others. Is that possible? ## I'm on suboxone 2 and mould like 2 chat with others, also . I don't know exactly how, but maybe just through leaving posts and messages. ## I just started on subs as well. I was on them about a year ago, and quit. But a few days ago, I started taking them-very serious this time--so reply if your looking information or have questions! ## Yes, you can use this basically like a chat, just by responding to messages left and it will thread the conversation. This is a narcotic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more Suboxone details here. It works amazingly well, try just half of a 8 mg at a time. It will not make you feel high, just make you feel normal and able to continue with your normal life. Good luck ## You can only use Suboxone if you have a severe addiction problem and have been abusing drugs, it is not for use by those who have been taking medication at a normal prescribed dosage. You should consult your doctor and they can help you decide the best way to taper off your medication. ## BE CAREFULL THOUGH YOU CAN GET ADDICTED TO SUBOXON JUST AS EASILY IF YOU MISUSE IT LIKE...

Taking small Suboxone doses after stopping Oxycodone

I took my last Oxycodone on Saturday. I've been taking 30 mg for 5 years. How long would withdrawals last if I take tiny pieces of 8 mg Suboxone? How long will I need to do this so that I don't get sick? Thanks ## I have a great deal of experience with induction phase of subs. If you are on Subutex you can start as soon as you feel a little sick. But make sure you have gone at least 24 to 36 hours. Since there is no Naloxone in Subutex it is not like subuxone, Start with a small piece of sub try that and see if you get relief. If you are ok take a little more until you feel straight. Subutex is alot easier to get on then subuxone so make sure you are really sick or you will go through Precipitative Withdrawal Or Hell as I like to call it. Remember, less is more and the oxys will...
