I am having a hard time finding a dr in staten island NY. Even after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis 3years ago& being prescribed oxycontin for almost 2 years my dr has moved his practice& no other doctors are willing to help me the same way my last doc was now with him not around& me off the meds I was on for so long my pain from MS has progressed I do have all mri's& documents that state I do have MS. Can I be helped??

Hey there... I don't know why my last post isn't up yet, I guess it had to be edited cause of personal info. Anyway, I would still like to talk. They won't let anything personal up here though, so I'm not sure what to do next. Any suggestions?

Hi there.. I also live in the area and have been to many doctors that have been recommended by people who tell me "oh go see this doc you will get anything you want" then I go and walk out empty handed. I have a chronic condition that requires surgery to rectify, but for numerous reasons I am unable to have this surgery for at least another 6 to 8 months. I'm a single mom and its so difficult to do everything, even everyday tasks, being in constant pain. I don't want to keep going to new docs cause I'm afraid people will think I'm doctor shopping or something. I really just need a decent doc who will understand, sympathize, and give me a script for either Percocet or roxicodone, since the Oxy seams to be the only thing that gives me any relief. I've tried everything from morphine to tramadol, darvocet, hydrocodone, etc and the oxy based are the only ones that help. This is a lot longer than I set out to write, sorry! Point is, I would really love to know if this dr. Tipirneni will really prescribe what I need. I have empty bottles, mri, etc to back up what I say as well. If anyone knows if this doc will be good for this, or of any other doc that would, please let me know asap! Thanks so much...

I was getting 120 perc 10/325 a month then my doc cut me off & put me on tramadol, which honestly does nothing. I live in the area so it would be perfect. please msg me back. thanks!

i'm new to flint. i moved here from Grayling, Michigan where my doctor has retired. i have reams of verifiable medical records. i need a doctor who is objective and doesn't have some preconceived notion that legitimate use of a opiate medication does not make someone druggie.
do you know of a doctor or pain clinic that would give me an objective compassionate ear, review my records, verify, and make appropriate objetive prescription decisions.
Any ideas or help would be beyond appreciated. i'm living a prisoner of my pain and am on the verge of eviction.

Dr. Don Mills runs a pill mill in Orange County. He prescribes narcotics without even touching the patient and he prescribes narcotics without looking at blood pressure or weight. He should not have a license to practice medicine.

Need a doctor whom prescribes oxycodone fifteen mg I am on them now my doctor before this doctor prescribed them to me along w gabebintin but didn't wanna take on new chronic pain patients then I found a doctor who would. Prescribe them to me have been going to him for two months went to him the third month he told me he was being shut down now I really in need of a doctor please if anyoe knows of a doctor in monroe nc or charlotte nc please please help me find a doctor thanks

Does anyone no of a good doctor that is a caring,kind physician that listens to there patients and does perscribe opiate medications,i have multiple chronic pain disorders,alot are caused from money hungry doctors,i had a laporscope thst showed multiple areas of endo,and masses an cysts along with adhessions,this was over 10yrs ago i didnt no much about it at the time but was told a hysterectomy was the only cure so was in the hospital by the end of the month everything removed but he left the left overy ended up in the hospital with in a couple months vomiting,pain ect. The endo was back was sent to a different obgyn and was reopened,laporotomy for removal of the other overy due to a mass inside it an a cyst on out side which was endo,was told that now with nothing left i should be out of this pain,lo an behold ended up in er in about 6 months due to a mass on my sidewall an admitted to the hospital they had to due another laporotomy they had a ob,general surg,an uroligist due to it being close to my ureter,so a stent had to be put in,the mass was endometriosis again so i had 4 surgeries within a yr 3 being laporotomies,opened up 3 times with no relief my family doc sent me for an ultra sound 3months later and guess what multiple cysts back,at this point no one wanted to due any more surgeries,said that i also had adhessive disease and nerve damage,prior to my 1st surgery was going to pt due to a smashed foot,and had several sprains,was on crutches for close to a yr which i now have rsd in the foot,also had herniated,buldging disc in neck putting presure on spinal cord,broken tailbone x2 and siatica but anyway after surgeries i tried pt for pelvic area ect trying to get relief,which had no improvement go figure,and i now have ostioperosis,scoliosis and sclerosis of the facet joints ect.also severe vomiting,bowel an bladder problems rt after the surgeries, In the long run i had to go on multiple opiates but the sorry for all the mispellings,and boring post i no there are many of people suffering way more than me and my heart is with you all! Also i cant tolerate hormones so that wasnt an option,i had epideral shots which put me in the hospital,ive been seeing this doctor for 3 yrs he just has poor bedside manners i have a hard enough day by day living with this pain the meds at least help me to be able to get out of bed in the afternoon,doctor is just moody and he had a couple patients piss him off and you get the back lash,he out of the blue after that came in cut my meds in half and told me i needed to get those shots again,tried to explain to him everytime i got them i ended up in er running a fever,vomiting,and loss temp usr of my leg,i had a couple questions for him i also have ribs that pop in an out tmj the list goes on, but he just picked up my chart walked out an said good day,so if anyone knows of a caring doctor that cares and perscribes opiates,in the thumb area of michigan or in the lower area of michigan it would be so much appreciated,i have been on opiates for 10 yrs now,since surgeries,injections and pt has all failed me...thanks for any help and best wishes to all that are suffering..j

I agree about the senior citizen thing. I am 41 and have had chronic back pain since I was 32 all I heard for 7 yrs is that i was drug seeking, 4 doctors and 3 specialists later and after being told multiple times that I was too young to be in pain, I went to a pain management doctor that scheduled me an appt to see a neurosurgeon to have surgery asap. My neck has been fused for 3 yrs now and my doctor up and moved away, no notice. Now because of his name i cant get a doctor to right me a pain med one! I have 3 different diagnosis for which all cause me pain, but yet here I am again fighting to prove that I am in PAIN. wtf do I have to do?

Yes, I too am looking for a doctor who isn't afraid to practice medicine! I am in franklin county missouri and my family physician has recently told me that she will no longer fill my prescriptions for narcotic pain pills and has referred me to pain management specialty. All they want to do is bill the insurance company for injections that do nothing although recently they have killed people! I have other medical issues so I am going to be looking for a new physician to treat all of my medical needs. Does anyone know a doctor that isn't afraid to practice in the area? I too have all of my records and x-rays. Thank you!

Time has gotten very short and its really up in the air if I will be able to move as without treatment my level of work would be impossible.
Westward bound may not be in the cards for me.

Does anyone know a doctor who treats with Oxycontin or an equal medication (when medically needed) in San Diego, CA area? Also some other meds but Oxy is the problem. I have RSD aka CRPS for 14 years. Diagnosed, from a teaching hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Treated with this for 12 years. Able to work fulltime. Job transfer to san diego, ca.
Now I need to move to San Diego but neither my doctor or I can find a doctor there who is willing to take on his treatment. And he is a published well known doctor!
I have my records, notes, pharmacy records etc. He is even willing to write a letter on his stationary and/or speak with the new doctor.
Nontheless he is very surprised. He feels it is due to the "Oxy Stigma" and that if I were on Morphine or some other it would not be a problem. And he is reluctant to switch me as everything is going so well with my pain.
Would I be willing to try a new treatment? Yes, but then my job may well suffer. Moving to a new city this will be bad just starting.
So any docs in san diego that could help here?
