Tramadol Overview

Tramadol, sold under the brandname Ultram among others,[2] is an opioid pain medication used to treat moderate to moderately severe pain.[1] When taken as an immediate-release oral formulation, the onset of pain relief usually occurs within about an hour.[6] It has two different mechanisms. First, it binds to the μ-opioid receptor. Second, it inhibits the reuptake of serotonin and norepinephrine.[7][8] Serious side effects may include seizures, increased risk of serotonin syndrome, decre...

I need help finding a doctor in my area who will prescribe pain medication. I live in lower bucks county in Bensalem. I've been searching on and off for 2 yrs but now my pain is just way over the top. They have me taking Tramadol 8 a day which at this point is an absolute joke. My family doctors is NO help whatsoever and won't even write my anxiety meds which I have been off for 2 yrs as well now. I have done and seen everything the doctor has asked for 2 yrs and still at the same point if not worse now since the only things given for pain and anxiety are the Tramadol and vistiral (not sure of spelling) again they are both a joke. I just had it out with my family doctor yesterday when I had a visit for blood work and follow up for meds. He basically said I can't do anything ...

tramadol vs. tramacet

I am looking to find out what is the difference between tramadol 100mg and tramacet. Are they both the same thing? The mg. is different and I don't understand that part. Thank-you ## Tramadol is just that, the active ingredient Tramadol by itself. It is an analgesic. Tramacet contains Tramadol and Acetaminophen/Paracetamol. Common side effects to both may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Do you have any other questions? ## My pharmacist changed my perscription from Tramcet to Tramadol. I now have a rash and the pain in my knees is recurring. Is this a possible reaction? ## Is it save to consume alcohol with tramodolacet medication ## verification ## What is the difference between Tramacet and Tramahexel? ## I have Porfirie, is Tramacet save toe use? Dont have...

why do different manufacturers of pills have different effects
Post a Reply
I have just had my generic Tramadol manufacturers switched by Rite-Aide and I am having serious problems with the new one. Rite-Aide says that they cannot get and will not get Tramadol from the former supplier. I cannot afford the non-generic drug. What recourse do I have? I was also told I cannot get a refill from a different pharmacy until this prescription has run out. I cannot take any other pain medication because of extreme sensitivity to them. It is vital that I have Tramadol but cannot take the ones I was just given from having the prescription filled at Rite-Aide. Please advise!

does anyone take 100mg Top Dol tramadol tablets from India?
25 Replies RSS
Please help. I received 100 mg tramadol tablets yesterday that look different than they usually do. From HAB Pharmaceuticals India. They are usually small white round tablets with one line scored across one side of the pill. This time they were slightly larger tablets, round, white with two lines scored on one side in the shape of an "X" They have never looked like this, but the packaging says the same info as I usually get. They are in blister strips of 10. Even the blister strip is slightly larger than they usually are. Does anyone else take these 100 mg Top dol tramadol tablets from HAB Pharmaceuticals that have an X scored on one side? ## That's funny you say that. I just received my tramadol from India 100 mg from HAB they are always exactly as you explained round white...

I am addicted to tramadol er 100mg twice a day
3 Replies RSS
As you know from the topic I am addicted to tramadol er 100mg twice a day. I want to come out from addiction. I tried so many times but failed due to pain I also can't sleep at all please help me. Please let me know other medicines for the replacement of tramadol. Thank you ## Tramadol is a mild opioid, so anything equivalent that you could try to replace it with would also carry the risk of being habit forming. Have you sought medical help for this issue? Usually, a slow taper is needed to help prevent the worst of the withdrawal symptoms, which may include nausea, fever, chills, diarrhea, depression, insomnia and rebound pain. ## Tramadol is not mild in any form or fashion. Dosed out on 50 mg is huge, make no mistakes. You can see this because doctors say nothing regarding its dow...

I have had my C-6 and 7 fused years ago and had pain releif from that. My symptom prior to rupture was dull pain in left scapula. After rupture, immense pain in scapula, left arm and numb index finger and thumb in left hand. After surgery, pain in back was gone and still had tingling and occasionally tip of left index finger went numb. Within this last year, my pain in scapula has returned and MRI shows moderate bulge in C-5 now. The pain was managed w 1 350mg Vicodin that I took when I got home from work at the end of day and naproxen while at work. I have been released by neurosurgeon to my primary. I have since been to neurologist for nerve conduction study to find that no nerve currently being pinched. They did however, discover that I have permanent nerve damage. I asked Dr. if I c...

Paxil vs tramadol
13 Replies RSS
I have been taking tramadol for about 8 years now. About 5 a day (50) mgs. Does anyone know if the withdrawals from tramadol would be better if I started taking paxil instead. I have never had a problem ordering tramadol online until now but I do have a Rx of paxil. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ## Since you've been taking Tramadol for 8 years, your body has probably become largely dependent on it; so unless you've tapered off to some degree, it's very "likely" that physical withdrawal symptoms will occur. Protecting your emotions, feelings, & mental fortitude with antidepressants sounds like a good idea, but I'm not sure if it will prevent certain physical symptoms (including pain) or any other reactions from occurring unless they are ...

Tramadol HCL Safety And Potency Past Expiration Date
52 Replies RSS
I pulled a muscle in my lower back and am in a lot of pain but am unemployed at the moment and can't afford to see a doctor and fill a new prescription. I found an old bottle of Tramadol HCL 50 MG with an expiration date of 3/22/2007. It has been stored in a cool, dark, dry cabinet all of this time. Does Tramadol HCL become unsafe or lose its potency after its expiration date, especially this long after? ## Unsafe no, loss of potency yes! In the original factory sealed bottles that your pharmacy receives, most medications are only good for 3 years, once those are opened and they are placed in a bottle that exposed them to heat and light, they degrade faster and will lose potency. Learn more Tramadol details here. Are there any other comments or questions? ## Thanks for the reply Ver...
