Tramadol Overview

Tramadol (marketed as Ultram, and as generics) is an opioid pain medication which is used to treat moderate to moderately severe pain.[4] When taken as an immediate-release oral formulation, the onset of pain relief usually occurs within about an hour.[5] It has two different mechanisms. First, it binds to the μ-opioid receptor. Second, it inhibits the reuptake of serotonin and norepinephrine.[6][7] Serious side effects may include: seizures, increased risk of serotonin syndrome, decreas...

where to get tramadol after Aug 14th?

Since tramadol is becoming controlled in August, what are my options? I've always gotten it from web-based pharmacies due to not having insurance. please help!!! ## Tramadol is no longer able to be obtained online without a Rx in the USA. Other countries may offer their version of it but I'd be careful with that. Tramadol itself is a very inexpensive medication... if your Dr. writes you a Rx for it you'll find that is very inexpensive. ## Let me know if you find out anywhere else to order this. I dread running out of my tramadol...ohhhh mmyyyy ## If you really need it as bad as you say you do, I honestly think your best bet would be to go the legitimate route and see a good doctor who can prescribe this for you on a monthly basis. You can always save money on your script by ...

MY HUSBAND TAKES TRAMADOL FOR PAIN. IT HAS CAUSED HIM TO BE DEPRESSED. HE IS ADDICTED TO THE DRUG CAN'T FUNCTION WITHOUT IT AND HE IS ALWAYS ANGRE OR AGGITATED AT EVERYTHING AROUND HIM, HE CAN'T KEEP FOOD DOWN CAN'T SLEEP, NOW HE HAS TRIED TO STOP TAKING IT BUT IS ON A DOWN HILL DREPRESSED STATE... ## Well unfortunately our bodies can become dependent upon anything that we take regularly for a long period of time, anything from your morning orange juice to a cup of milk with dinner. There is a big difference between addiction and dependence though. To be addicted he would have to be abusing the drug, taking it more than prescribed and going to extreme measures to get more. Now the problem with dependence is that while the withdrawals are not as severe as addiction, you do su...

Tramadol side effects?

i have been on Tramadol for about 2 months, have you heard of a metallic taste , I was taking Gabapentin and thought that it was that, but off over month a still have metallic taste ? ## Hello, Frank! How are you? Yes, it can sometimes affect your sense of taste, as a side effect. The FDA warns that it may be habit forming and other side effects to Tramadol may include nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. It's a very common thing with most medications, actually. It can also be worsened by the dry mouth, so you may find some relief by sucking on mints, or something, if your doctor approves, to help keep your mouth moist. Is there anything else I can help with?

Has opiate use permanently ruined my enjoyment of alcohol?!
Post a Reply
Hi there, I have a strange question that i cant find the answer for. I took Tramadol/Zydol for around 7 months for back pain, ever since i stopped taking it i cannot get the effects of alcohol - e.g the buzz, euphoria. Please note it is NOT a tolerance issue. I can drink and drink until im sick and not feel anything. (it was just to evaluate how much i could drink/prove it wasn't tolerance) I have been in abstinence from Tramadol for about a year now. I'm really worried that I'm permanently damaged. Any help or ideas why this is happening? Thank you

Is cymbalta the same as tramadol? ## Hello, Pamela! How are you? No, they are not the same, at all. Cymbalta contains the active ingredient Duloxetine, the FDA classifies it as an SSNRI antidepressant, though it does help some people with anxiety and nerve pain. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings and weight changes. However, Tramadol is an analgesic. The FDA classifies it as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Tramadol HCL Safety And Potency Past Expiration Date

I pulled a muscle in my lower back and am in a lot of pain but am unemployed at the moment and can't afford to see a doctor and fill a new prescription. I found an old bottle of Tramadol HCL 50 MG with an expiration date of 3/22/2007. It has been stored in a cool, dark, dry cabinet all of this time. Does Tramadol HCL become unsafe or lose its potency after its expiration date, especially this long after? ## Unsafe no, loss of potency yes! In the original factory sealed bottles that your pharmacy receives, most medications are only good for 3 years, once those are opened and they are placed in a bottle that exposed them to heat and light, they degrade faster and will lose potency. Learn more Tramadol details here. Are there any other comments or questions? ## Thanks for the reply Ver...

one side of pill is a M the other side of the pill is T7 ## what type of drug is tramadol hcl 50 mg. is it narcotic, like morphine or codene, is more like accetomedaphen(tylonal), asprin or what? What is it addictive, not addictive, have been given it for pain and having trouble finding out info on it... ## Tramadol is an interesting medication, the FDA has actually changed its classification several times. Basically, when inventing this drug, what they were trying to do was retain the analgesic properties of an opiate, but cut out the side effects and dependence or addiction issues. What they go was a pain killer that is actually somewhere in between. It does not work as effectively as most narcotics and it can cause the same side effects as an opiate, including dependence and addictio...

OL-Tram real or not?

I'm just curious. I received ol-tram that is an all white circular pill with no markings. Blister pack says ol-tram Tramadol Hydrochloride 50 mg. Anyone else know if these are real tramadol ## @bambirose, From what I've researched, OL-TRAM is reported to be a foreign brand name of Tramadol. However, its legitimacy probably depends on where or how you came about obtaining them, since as you may know, many pharmacies overseas can often be unreliable. There are also several other discussion threads here on this same topic, where most individuals note having received their blister packs from Hab Pharmaceuticals in India. I don't know if this is the case with your situation, but if it is, this particular manufacturer actually lists OL-Tram on their website's product page, and...
