Opana Overview

Oxymorphone (Opana, Numorphan, Numorphone) or 14-Hydroxydihydromorphinone is a powerful semi-synthetic opioid analgesic (painkiller) first developed in Germany in 1914,[2] patented in the USA by Endo Pharmaceuticals in 1955[3] and introduced to the United States market in January 1959 and other countries around the same time.[1] The brand name Numorphan is derived by analogy to the Nucodan name for an oxycodone product (or vice versa) as well as Paramorphan/Paramorfan for dihydromorphine and ...

pain clinics that treat out of state patients
22 Replies RSS
Does anyone know of pain clinics that take out of state patients? Also looking to get put on opanas, or something like that. Been on loratab 1000's for 15 years and they don't do the job anymore. I realy hope someone out there knows someplace in GA or TN. Hope to hear from you soon and thanks. ## First off, there are no Lortab tablets that contain 1,000mgs of anything. And next is a question, why aren't you looking in your home state? Even if you do find a doctor that will treat you, when you're from out of state, most pharmacies will not fill your prescription under such circumstances. ## I am looking for a pain management dr in the Saginaw area who takes out of state claims from New Jersey, I' m thinking about relocating from Delaware. How long to wait from Opana ER 40 mg to Suboxone film
12 Replies RSS
I'm quiting Opana using Suboxone. I've gradually come down from Opana ER 40 mg to 10 mg over a period of 6 months, and am switching today to Suboxone film. Dr told me to wait 24 to 36 hrs before starting Subs (wait till I can't stand the withdrawals any longer). Normally on 10 mg Opana I start to feel withdrawals within 12 hrs, can't get comfortable in my skin, can't sleep, restless leg etc. Problem is I ran out of 10 mg yesterday so the single last Opana I took was an ER 40 mg. It's been 30 hrs and still no noticable withdrawals. I don't want to start the Suboxone until feeling the withdrawals as instructed cause I don't want the Subs to kick in and suddenly block the Opana causing worse withdrawals. How long should I wait? ## There is really no precise ...

opana manufacturers coupons

Are there any manufactuors coupons for Opana ER 10mg? ## If you can't afford your prescription for Opana ER, Endo Pharmaceuticals does have an assistance program that may be able to help, if you qualify. You can call them for more information at 866-824-4747. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

opana 40mg vs oxycontin op 80mg

my Dr prescribed Opana 40mg as alternative to Oxy 80 mg 2 twice a day which I would insufflate - I didn't tell him this of course. he claimed them to be just as good if not stronger can any one share about opana 40mg ## Inhaling medications that are not intended for that method of usage is very dangerous. You run the risk of overdose and creating blockages in your lungs, which can lead to breathing problems, embolisms and stroke. Opana contains the active ingredient Oxymorphone, this is a potent narcotic pain reliever. Side effects can include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. THis dosage is about the same as what you were taking of the Oxycontin. Do you have any other questions? ## i was taking three oc 40's a day, when the new op 40's came out they seemed to...

Opana ER and Oxycontin OP
3 Replies RSS
One year ago my pain mgmt doctor put me on Oxy OP but it ripped up my gut. Then he switched me to Opana ER and it too caused horrible gut pain. I read that the new formulation was basically some kind of plastic or polymer to keep it from being misused by people who want to abuse it. Because I could not tolerate these medicines my doctor decided to just let me continue to use hydrocodone 10/325 for several months since it worked fine for me. Now he's telling me I have to go back on either the Oxy Op or Opana ER, or another one (can't remember the name of it but it starts with a N) and use hydrocodone for breakthrough pain. What is in it that makes this so hard to digest and hurts my stomach so bad? I don't understand why the doctor wants me to go back to one of those meds sin...

Generic Opana ER

Wanted to share with everyone how happy I am to have finally received the new generic Opana ER 20mg tablets from my pharmacy. I had found Opana to be very effective for my chronic pain and was very sad when they switched it over to the new formula as it wasn't nearly effective as the original octagon shaped tablets and caused stomach aches. These new generic ones seem to me to be as effective as the original formula had been. The tablets I received show to be made by Global Pharmaceuticals and are a small, round, green tablet with G73 imprinted on them. I'm happy to report that these are just like the original formula. Now I no longer have stomach aches from taking those plastic pills that Endo is selling. I sure do hope that these remain as they are, but I have read a couple ar...

Generic Opana-People Speak up
79 Replies RSS
They are saying that the new opana works as well as the old. There are so many peoples statements that I have read saying the new don't work as well but yet Endo states their research don't prove that. All people who have a real medical problem that causes pain and takes new opana and it doesn' work as well as the old needs to speak up. One person can't change anything. People who are being treated awful by medical doctors and pain clinics because they have pain also need to speak up. ## Read what Endo states what they think will happen with Opana in 2013-14. *double-digit prescription growth in products like Voltaren Gel and the reformulated OPANA ER which will drive growth in our branded pharmaceutical businesses. Are The Pharmacies Ripping Me Off
5 Replies RSS
When I grt my script filled (60 opana 30 mg) I am told they only have 20 and if I decide to take them I will not be able to get the rest when the order comes in. ## I have been told the same thing by 2 different pharmacies, It is a federal law that the pharmacie only fill a narcotic prescription once, even if it means being short on your script. The pharmacie will contact your dr and let them know that you are short and your dr will write another script. I know you can find pharmacies that will bend the rules and fill it twice to get you the correct amount. Or you can just go to a different pharmacie that has all 60. Hope this helps ## I believe you have 3days to get the rest of whatever they short you. Check with pharmacy. Supervisor or manager first ## What it really comes down to is ...
