That is mostly correct, however, you cannot buy Acetaminophen over the counter in higher than 500mgs, which would be Extra Strength Tylenol.

But the smaller numbers do refer to the Hydrocodone, which is a narcotic pain reliever, so the higher the number, the higher the dosage and the stronger the medication. The maximum you can get of it in the US is 10mgs.

The common name brands for this are Lortab and Vicodin.

Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

You can read more about this medication here:

DO NOT take vicodin with over the counter tylenol. They both contain acetamenophin, which in large doses is VERY HARMFUL!!! Consult your physician!!!

What strength is my generic norco m367?

The highest strength available in the US is indeed 10mg in proprietary products but a compounding chemist can make up capsules to order up to 20mg. This I know as I have been sent a red capsule from a Florida pharmacy of 20/100mg, five or six years back. Synergistically, the antitussive Hydrocodone requires only 60-75mg acetaminophen to form a mild opioid analgesic. The drug, INN name DIHYDROCODEINEONE BITARTRATE is a ketone derivative of dihydrocodeine tartrate, which requires no apap and is in strength, according to equivalence tables, 10mg hydrocodone = 40mg dihydrocodeine, the strength of the original DF118 brand by Martindale Pharma.

Hello my heart goes out to you I know the torment you go through daily living with pain.
For me it's bad enough we have to accept the pain and live but when you go to get medication your treate like a criminal.
anyway there is a new extended release hydrocodone with NO acitamedophine. Which in theory has two fold postivespecially one no liver worries and two less pills to take per day.

I recently had 7 inches of the ileum removed because of crones disease. I had a ct scan that reveled an infection. To add to that I have 2 kidney stones passing through. I have gone to The ER
And they gave me a shot and my doctor incressed my hydrocodone from 1 to 2 tablets every six hours and an antibodic and a cortical steroid. Even after the dose of hydrocone the pain is there. How long does it take for those other meds to take affect?

Spell check does not make you dumb. It teaches you how to spell. Not learning makes you dumb. Your post is a perfect example.

Illegal in many states but I suggest cannabis for your pain management. You can administer in many safe and tasty forms without the fear of overdose or damage to your liver. Many doctors won't exigencies because there's no kick back from big pharma however, big Pharma owns over 26 US patents waiting on approval from the government.

There are prescription pain meds that do not contain tylenol (acetaminophen). Some are extended release which may be more helpful than immediate release as fewer are required per day dosage. I have similar cervical spine problems, have had three operations and need two more. I've been in pain management for six years to delay further surgery as long as possible. My best advise is to discuss your options with your doctor. There maybe other alternatives for you and changing up your meds can be gentler on your system in addition to being more beneficial to treating your pain. Good Luck!

The only thing that helped me with chronic neck pain and a dozen other associated conditions was oxycodone. It worked the best for me and I was able to actually move after even PT was discontinued immediately after start since it was causing more damage.

I was up to as high as 300 while the doctor was trying to find the optimal amount the first year and ended up down to 150 as my optimal daily dose. Then the geniuses in charge in Florida decided that pharmacies couldn't dispense over 120mg per day for anyone. The doctors disagreed and continued prescribing the same amounts so the state threatened pharmacist by taking away their licenses.

So to compensate for the 30mg, I ended up with 2x 40mg oxycontins, which are the time released version, so thanks to these geniuses, I ended up with 200mg a day instead of 150.

It turns out after the diagnostics that my liver metabolizes the oxycodone in 3 to 4 hours so I ended up 2 hours with increased pain while waiting for the next dose.

I used to get epidural steroids every 6 to 8 months and ablation (radiofrequency lesioning of nerve roots, killing them through sound waves) every year and a half to two where roots at 5 levels of discs were burnt in one session while the other side nerves were burnt the next week.

I thought I could reduce the amount to 90 a day with 2 half pills for a month but my doctor said it was a bad idea, and agter 5-6 weeks of 90mg plus 80 extended release, all my symptoms worsened at once and I was back to 120+80. I had U/A's 1 to 2 times a month, sometimes 3 or 4 when I had procedures (have to be evaluated at every visit to the doctor). After 6 years, I was still on the same dosage without increases despite my doctor wanting me to increase the dosage.

I also took 800mg x 3 ibuprofen for the inflammation, a muscle relaxant x3 or 4 a day (soma for 3-4 months, then skelaxin, zanaflex, flexeril, etc... so i wouldn't build dependence on any foe taking them too long), xanax 1mg x2 or valium 10mg x2 to allow me to sleep over 2-3 hours (I ended up with 4-5 hours of sleep and 2-3 hours or just sitting in the morning until the pain went down enough to allow me to move.

I took gralise for nerve damage for bimateral cervical radiculopathy, and ulnar nerve entrapment between the left shoulder and neck (had surgery for labral tears on the left shoulder) and ended up actually being able to move 2 fingers I had no feeling in for over 5-6 years.

I ended up with prednisone 1 or 2 times a year.

Surgery for the neck wasn't recommended due to too many discs involved. Was going to get a neurostimulator but it was found that I had too many problems for it to help.

I used to get 40-50 trigger point inj's. every 2-3 months as well.

After 7 years on these amounts, I had NO SIDE EFFECTS WHATSOEVER. My liver evaluations were perfect along with everything else.

BUT, I missed ONLY 1 dose of oxycodone in 7 years while running late to the doctor's appointment. I took all my pills RIGHT ON TIME, at the same time EVERY SINGLE DAY. I had 1/4 glass of beer twice in 7 years on 2 family members' birthdays and a sip of champagne on New Year in 2013. No alcohol whatsoever. In extreme pain I called my doctor's office to ask what to do, and followed directions. I NEVER TOOK 2 pills at once either.

Of course I built a dependency but even though my body required more, I got stuck at the same dosage for 7 years because the *****s running the state know best, and we are the ones who have to pay for pill mills and *****s who take them to feel high and end up croaking while going on drinking binges to enhance the highs. I saw a 70-80 year old person get the same dosage from the pharmacy while she must have weighed 90 pounds or less, and I am 280 pounds at 6'5".

And the WC frauds forced my doctor to recommend a detox, stating that it was a Nevada WC requirement (where I was injured) and told the Florida doctor that if he didn't agree to put me in a morphine pump that they would discontinue all meds (they called him over the phone, telling him it was a NV required DEPOSITION while their attorney pretended to be the DEPOSITION JUDGE over the phone conference).

And they cut me off, including benefits, while blackmailing me into accepting a detox. I will ensure they get charged for murder or if I survive the sudden withdrawals, at least with attempted murder/manslaughter and fraud since everything is documented.

After being left crippled from auto accident 3.5 years ago I've gone from morphine RX made me sick at stomach too much tho with zanax in between first year to oxycodone w zanax in between next year and half worked without being sick and now new pain doctor changed me to hydrocodone 500 w Valium in between and cymbalta but pain is not managed nearly as well so am having to take more and more often but would much rather take less pills less often to manage pain more efficiently than more chemicals im my body to have to break down and filter out but new doctor is not open to me explaining I finally found what worked for my body with least side affects. What to do or say without pissing him off or 6 mos of his trial an error suggested requirements? ??? At my expense of course

the san diego drug company, zogenix, has been approved for there new opiate drug named zohydro er. its consits of pure hydrocodone in oxycontin strenghts. the FDA approved the medication because although it is a potent opiate and highly addictive the drug the benefits out way the harm it may cause when abused. the DEA is in the process of reclasifying the drug hydrocodone in which we are familiar as the main ingriediant in vicodin, lortab and norco as a class 2 narcotic instead of a class 3 narcotic. this simply means it may not be called in by a doctor and no refills are allowed in class 2 narcotics. a prescription will have to be obtained by a MD at there office every time a prescription is needed even for vicodin. the FDA approved this highly potent drug because people react different to hydro and oxy codine meds.

Tramodol has been a great replacement for hydrocodone. It's a cousin to codene and works best in nerve pain.

There is a possibility that you will pass a drug test, however, it is likely that you may not pass. Opiates are water soluable, not fat soluble, so they are easier to get out of your system than many other substances. It takes 3 to 5 days to completely get opiates out of your system, and 50 mg is quite a bit if you do not normally take opiates. If i were you, i would go to GNC and buy the 2 day liquid cleanser. I comes in 2 bottles, and you mix it with 8oz of h2o every 8 hours. If you refrigerate it actually tastes pretty good, and it will clean out your system of not only drugs, but all toxins, leaving you feeling great and energized.
