I took a drug test for employment & an oral swab was used. I do not use any illicit drugs but I was contacted & told my test came up positive for THC. I do know some people who use marijuana but I understand that it is very rare for a test to come up positive for second-hand smoke, especially with an oral swab b/c it is hard for them to detect marijuana to begin with. I take Ibuprofen at night. Could this have caused it?

I'm failing a drug screen for marijuana and I don't know how. I'm on several medications! Topiramate 50/mg 2× a day, nexium mag Dr 20 mg, cymbalta 60 mg cap, seroquel 50 mg 2× a day, progesterone 200 cap 1× a day, Xanax 0.5 1× day, clonidine HCl 0.1 mg tab 1× a day... Can you tell me which one is causing me to fail my test? Or mixing it? My pain Dr appt. is coming up and I don't want to loose out on him for THC and I do not smoke at all!!

Ibuprofen has been known to cause a false positivr under certain circumstances. You need to ask to re-take it or to perform a more specific test on the previous sample.

I am taking 20mg Olmesartan + Medoxomil 300mg + time release Tramadol + 2-60mg Duloxetine hcl dr + 3mg Folic Acid + 2-200mg Hydroxychloroquine + 3mg Melatonin + 25mg vitamin b-6 + 1000mcg Biotin + 360mg Omega-3 + 1000mcg Vitamin B12 + 5000IU Vitamin D3 daily + 15mg Methotrexate weekly. Will any of these medications test positive for THC on a urine test?

I took a pre-employment drug screen today and it showed positive for THC. I do not use any illegal drugs. I'm currently taking Levothyroxine, gabapentin, cyclobenzaprine, Women's Ultra Mega without Iron and Iodine, Beyond Raw Neuro Shed, Garcinia 4X SX-7 and (4) Ibuprofen 800mg daily. Will any of this cause a false positive?

I started a warehouse job, believing this was a blessing, but when my drug test came in I tested positive for marijuana; knowing I don't do any drugs period except what the Dr prescribed, which is naproxen and norco for pain. Now I have lost my job and have no proof. Someone please let me know something? It's crazy especially when you know you live a drug free life. I mean I don't know what to do at this point... Now I'm having to go through trying to clean my system from medications that a Dr prescribed.

I challenged my positive test. Knowing that I am drug free and would only take whatever is prescribed by my doctor. I went to a lab that does all types of drug test and paid for my own private test. The results came back negative as expected. I went to the company that terminated me and showed them the proof that the first test was wrong.

I quit marijuana 4 months ago. I was a heavy concentrate smoker for about 9 months. I have lost 130 pounds with no diet or exercise. I am tired all the time and have bad leg cramps. I don't take any meds at all except Advil for pain. I am still testing positive for THC and everyone thinks I'm still using, but I am not. My freedom is on the line. Could I have a kidney malfunction that is causing the test to show THC when I haven't had any in months?

I go to a pain dr and I had to go to the hospital for my back. They gave me a shot of methocarbamol in my hip and then the dr called in a prescription for the methocarbamol. My question is, can it cause a false positive for THC?
