found the same pill in a medical ride found out it is 25 mg sequel/generic! ## Hi mzmarsha, From what I could gather, it seems that you are reading the imprint upside down. The correct imprint is actually listed as "93 8161". But to answer your question, yes, it is a generic version of Seroquel, containing 25mgs of Quetiapine fumarate. This medication is an atypical antipsychotic indicated for the treatment of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, as well as depressive disorders. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Quetiapine Details Hope this helps!

Avoiding Seroquel drug interactions
My Mum is diagnosed Parkinsons Dimentia or Lewy Body Dementia. She has been prescribed and has been taking low dose Seroquel (25mg) which dose has been dropped to 12.5mg approx 6 weeks ago. The drugs Mum is on aren't working for her (she is very sensitive to Benzo lines and other drugs) and I'm discussing with her Doctor the feasibility of switching to cholinesterase inhibitor drugs instead. Rivastignmine (Exelon) is one of those drugs but I note it does moderately interact with Seroquel. As Mum is incredibly sensitive to drugs and their effects, I'd rather Mum be completely off Seroquel before commencing something such as Rivastignmine. What period of time would be a safe duration to suggest that the Seroquel would no longer be in her system? ## Approximately 36 hours, but ...

seroquel hangovers
I am taking Seroquel for a depressive episode that began almost three months ago, gradually increasing the dosage until I have now been at 150 mg. Seroquel xr for the past 24 days. Throughout this time I have suffered severe hangovers from the Seroquel (drowsiness, severe headache, lack of energy). My psychiatrist tells me that these side effects will lessen or disappear as I build up my tolerance to the drug, but now I've gone 24 days without increasing the dosage and the side effects continue. I am taking solely Seroquel xr (not ir) and try to take it as early in the evening as possible, usually anytime from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Do these side effects disappear eventually at the 150 mg. dosage or should I begin tapering off this drug? I also heard that the side effects disappear ...

I dont want to stop taking it becasue i finally found a drug that helps, but this is an unacceptable side effect to me, anyone have any tips for dealing with this? ## Tell your doctor he might be able to help. ## I have been taking seroquel for about six months now and I have actually lost 16lbs. I take a dose of 400mg a day and have not hadd any problems. I have not even changed my diet or my exercise habits (which aren't the best). can i take seroquel with methadone
I think I'm having a bad side effect. Like hitters and really bad anxiety. Need help. Please. I'm on 50mg of seroquel and 280 mg methadone daily. ## Hello, Peter! How are you doing? Some caution does need to be taken, when taking these medications together, because they can increase the toxicity of each other, so that could be what's causing your problem. Have you consulted your doctor? You may need them to make a dosage adjustment. ## I am on 101mg of methadone (9yrs) and just got prescribed elival for sleep. Will the elival put me in methadone withdrawal ???

seroquil / linked to mitral valve prolapse
can seroquil be a cause of mitral valve prolapse ## Hi Monica, While I haven't found any information relating Seroquel (Quetiapine) to Mitral valve prolapse, I did find "fast or irregular heartbeat" to be a severe side effect associated with this medication. I do wonder though if this side effect, in and of itself, can eventually lead to Mitral valve prolapse? If you're experiencing any unusual or disabling side effects by taking Seroquel, then I would recommend asking your doctor about switching medications or opting for a more natural alternative to the drug. You may also want to take a look at Seroquel's list of side effects, for reference: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0001030/#a698019-sideEffects I hope this helps! ## Can you take seroqel with a prolapsed hea...

Seroquel is working for me but I know I should get off it. Advice please!
Hi, Im a 23yr old female, have been taking Seroquel for about 2 months now. I had anxiety, racing thoughts, overthink, and couldnt sleep some nights, so my doctor prescribed me this. After a breakup and miscarraige it helped me get my life back together, I can think so clearly now and am so much happier within myself. It has stabilzed my moods! I want to get off it because the side effects I have read scare me - diabetes, insomnia etc + the groggy mornings are hard but do-able. Soo last night I didnt take it, had an OK sleep, waking up every couple of hours but this morning I have anxiety back and dont know what to think. Is it possible you can get psychologically addicted to it? I dont want to stop taking it because its worked wonders in my life, but I know its not good for me and the ...

Seroquel for dimentia patient
Should Seroquel be used on a 98 year old dimentia patient? ## I am sorry, there are no medical professionals on this site and only a doctor who is familiar with her medical history can decide what medications can best help her condition. ## I have seen it used for the elderly but not with increased confusion and high probability of falls. I am a nurse so i can not diagnose. Only tell you my observations.
