What is the longest paxil cAn take to start working
I have been on paxil over 6 weeks now up to 60 Mgs whAt is the longest this can take to start working or does it mean if its bit working by now it just won't work for me please respond ## Hello, Theresa! How are you doing? 6 weeks is the maximum time it takes to reach it's full efficacy level in the body, in many people it reaches that level in as little as 4 weeks. Learn more Paxil details here. But how long have you been at this dosage? You really need to be at one dosage for that period of time, in order to see if it's going to help you, because every time you raise the dosage you cause more side effects to occur, which can make it seem like it isn't working. ## Don't always listen to what the "supposed" tested length is told to you as this will be quite d...

Can insomnia cause Paxil withdrawal symptoms?
i'e been on Paxil (20 mg)for about 2 years to calm menopausal hot flushes. It's worked like a charm, and given me wonderful sleeps. However, after an emotional trauma, I had one sleepless night, and suddenly, all the symptoms of Paxil withdrawal have appeared. I feel thirsty all the time and my head feels like I'm having mild electric shocks, together with dizziness and nausea. I tried to explain this to a pharmacist, here in Mexico, where I'm on holiday. She didn't know what I was talking about. Any feedback on his would be appreciated. ## Hello, Rachelle! How are you doing? Are you feeling any better? That is very odd. Insomnia can cause those types of issues, but they certainly shouldn't be ongoing. Will you be back in the states soon to consult your doctor ab...

can you just switch from one ssri to another or do you have to cross taper
Can you just change from one to another or do you have to cross taper the med is paxil going to luvox ## Hello, Theresa! How are you? If you've been taking it for a long time, then a cross taper/titration is usually best and what most doctors will have you do to avoid any severe withdrawal and rebound effects. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## Took it two months before that I took lexPro two months nothing worked what do u think

Paxil any success
I have tried many meds on paxil three weeks just went from 20 to 30 today no improvement in my OCD anxiety depression and PTSD has it worked for anyone if do how long did it take please help ## I have now been on paxil over four weeks three weeks At 20 and over one on thirty no improvement at all I Am terrified nothing will work did anyone have this happen ## Hi Theresa, Based on my research, it can take 4-6 weeks for Paxil to take effect. Keep in mind that medication effects everyone differently, so no matter what kind of experience someone else has (positive or negative) that cannot determine what effect it will have on you. If you don't notice a change after a couple weeks, you may need to consider trying a different medication or other methods of treatment. I actually took Paxil...

I have been on it over 5 weeks and now just went up to 60 cause it still hasn't started to work did anyone have to go this high before it worked ## Hello, Theresa! How are you? You do need to stay on one dose for 4 to 6 weeks, before you'll know if it's working for you, or not. It takes that long for them to reach their full efficacy in the body. Seraquel users please respond
I'm on seraquel now 75 Mgs just started 5 days ago I have severe anxiety depression PTSD OCD also on paxil now 30 Mgs for 4 weeks its not helping will the seraquel help with my anxiety and symptoms of extreme fear ## Hi, Theresa! How are you things going? Seroquel is sometimes given to augment another medication that isn't quite doing its job to treat anxiety. Learn more Seroquel details here. However, the only way to know if it will work for you is to try it for a month or so and see for yourself. What works for one person doesn't always work for another. Are you also undergoing therapy? ## Seraquel also takes at least a month? Doc says therapy wouldn't help me now til I stabilize. Do you take seraquel or paxil

anyone take paxil please respond
Please let me know I have been on it over three weeks no improvement just went up to 30 Mgs I have OCD panic depression anxiety and ptsd ## Hi, Theresa! How are you doing? It does take about 4 to 6 weeks for these medications to reach their full effectiveness in your body, to see whether or not it is going to help you. Usually, this is about the same time that you'll notice any side effects hit their peak and start to taper off. When you reach that point, if it still isn't helping, at all, then it may not be the right medication for you and you should speak to your doctor about trying something else. Learn more Paxil details here. ## Iam still the same no improvement I was on 20 Mgs for 3 weeks now 30 for one week seraquel was added last week started on 25 now up to 75 except fo...

does paxil work for anyone
Please let me know what you take it for how much you take and how long it took to work please respond ## Hi, Theresa! Has it had any effect, yet? It can take about 4 to 6 weeks for a medication like Paxil to reach its full level of effectiveness in your body. Generally, that's about the same time when you'll notice any side effects reaching their peak in intensity, then starting to taper off. If it's had no effect by then, that means it most likely isn't the right medication for you. Learn more Paxil details here. I've never tried it, but it worked very well for my ex-husband, he was on it for years. What others have you tried? ## No I have felt no improvement at all I just was raised from 20 to 30 Mgs a few days ago but I have been on it almost 4 weeks now. Do you r...
