Would anyone know if I had a MD who did not know what a winged scapular was? I am at a loss. Because I am in pain. My neuro believes that he can not prescribe a narcotic for me. ## Hello, Janet! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems you're having. What type of doctor? If it was a general practitioner or your neurologist, then no, I would not be surprised at their not knowing what that means. They don't study such things as intently as a Orthopedic surgeons does. But the treatment choices usually start with physical therapy, rather than pain medications. Who diagnosed you?

My wife is 2 months pregnant and is taking ondem 4 mg - once a day. Can you please tell us is there any side effects of this medicene, to the coming child and the mother ? or will it obstruct normal delivery? ## Ondem contains the active ingredient Ondansetron, it is commonly used to reliever nausea and vomiting. There is nothing listed regarding its use while pregnant and any problems, but you should really speak to her doctor or pharmacist regarding your concerns. Before prescribing anything, however, a doctor does take any risks and benefits under consideration, especially when a woman is pregnant. Have you tried just asking them about it?

I am on Bystolic 10 mg and Benicar 40 mg. Is it better to take Bystolic in the morning or the Benicar. My bp is usually elevated when I wake up and seems that Bystolic was not controlling it in the morning so my MD suggested trying Benicar in am & Bystolic at night? ## For the best results, you should follow your doctor's instructions. However, it is normal for your blood pressure to elevate for awhile, when you first wake up. Its usually just due to it dropping while your sleeping, then you get a sudden spike, when you get up in the morning. That's generally not something to worry about, as long as the elevation is only temporary and it goes back down later. Many people see elevations every morning, if they check before they take their medications, too. When I first saw min...

I was taking lisinopril 5mg for high blood pressure and had severe stomach and back pain after taking the med for 3 weeks. My MD switched me to amlodipine 5mg and the same side effects after 2 weeks. Since they are both calcium channel blockers, should I ask for a different class of drug to control my blood pressure? ## Hello, Susan! How are you feeling? These are not both calcium channel blockers, Lisinopril is actually an ACE inhibitor. It is also normal to experience side effects for the first 4 to 5 weeks you are taking a new medication, but they are typically transient and go away with time, once your body adjusts. However, if your pain is that severe, then yes, you may need to try yet another class of medications to lower your blood pressure. One option would be to try one of the ...

Tried taking the SAMe 400mg doing the day could this be making me very sleepy also taking Enlyte in the morning would appreciate an advice ## Drowsiness can be a normal side effect of Doxepin, according to FDA reports. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood changes, and weight changes. If it makes you very sleepy, you might do better taking it at night, before you go to bed. Have you informed your prescribed of the problem you're having? How are you taking half a capsule? There's no way ...

Capsual ## found a yellow pill marked G5027 what is it? ## G 5027 is Gabapentin 300 mg which is generic for Neurontin This is an anticonvulsant medication usually for people with epilepsy. ## It is also used for nerve pain.(neuropothy),common with diabetics... ## It was introduced as an anti-seizure medication and has begun to be used in the treatment of Fibromialgia. The capsule described is the generic 300mg. This drug can cause liver damage and its use must be accompanied by liver function screening. 1800mg daily is the highest dosage most MDs will prescribe due to the possibility of liver damage. This is not a recreational drug and carries serious consequences at doses greater than normal doses and has no psychotropic effect. If you are looking to get high - don't burn down your...

When should I take Rabeprazole, before or after breakfast or dinner and how long after eating? ## Rabeprazole is usually given for 4 to 8 weeks, unless directed by your doctor. Normally you take this medicine with a full glass (8 ounces) of water, with or without food. For more specific directions I would ask your M.D. that prescribed it to you. Do you have any more questions or information toa dd? Please post back if you do. ## HOW MUCH TIME AFTER OR BEFORE FOOD ? ## I believe it doesn't matter when you take it, as long as you follow the instructions. Has anyone ever experienced anger/rage while taking Remeron? I recently tapered off Cymbalta slowly while introducing Remeron. I’m having extreme bouts of rage with no regard to anything, very far from the person I normally am. I don’t know if this is being caused by Cymbalta withdrawal or the Remeron. By the way - the week where I was on 15 Remeron and 15 cymbalta I was very energetic and positive, hyper productive. Obviously something is not right here. Could it be that this is just what I’m like without Cymbalta? Am I rapid cycling? I’ve never been officially diagnosed with bipolar 2 (mainly mdd and anxiety) but I’ve taken lamictal and cymbalta for 10 years after two suicide attempts. I’ve tried other drugs before that as well. Right now I am only ...

my farher in law is in his third month in vidaza, every month had diffrent sise effects. this time his both leg shin if painful. does it mean his MDS is vexoming really bad or is it stil sise effect of vidaza or vidaza doesnt work for him?:) ## Hello, Sarah! How he doing? The FDA does list aches, pains, fever and flu like symptoms as possible side effects of this medication, along with nausea, loss of appetite, feeling weak and headache. All medications used to treat cancer are potent and well known to cause crazy side effects. Has he asked his doctor about it? They should be able to let him know if this is normal, or not.

About a month after taking Eliquis I started with being tired nearly all day. Just wanted to sit and close my eyes. I find myself leaning against walls, rubbing my face to remain alert and yawning a lot. I am also on a beta blocker but have reduced it with seemingly no improvement. MD isn't worried but it really is affecting my quality of life. MD ran a bunch of blood checks and all were normal. Right now not getting a lot of support from my doctors on this. ## Hello, Mark! How are you? The issue here is that people are experiencing this with the new medications in this class, but it's not something listed in the known side effects, which likely explains your doctor not worrying about it. I think the best thing to do, at this point, is to see him again and make sure to emphasize...

My 16 yr old has been so depressed and agitated, not normal for him. I read in a natural health MD newsletter that 100mg would help ease it. I had some and gave it to him(I had it for depression from my doc a couple years ago but never used it). It had virtually no effect--he seemed a bit better, for awhile. But I will not experiment like this any more. What should I watch for with him? It has been ten hours.

I have been on 50mg for about 2 years now, but suddenly am more aggitated than normal, could I need a larger dose or change ..? ## Hi Bj, From the looks of things it sounds like your body has become quite tolerant to Zoloft. Having been on it for about 2 years can build up a tolerance even slightly enough to make that much of a difference. If you would like more information on Zoloft, please take a look at the link below... Since you probably have become tolerant to this drug, I personally would not go for a larger dosage, because you will eventually become tolerant to an even larger amount. I cannot tell you what to take or how much to consume because I am not an MD, but it would certainly be a good idea to change the drug and/or cycle Zoloft on and off every few weeks or so to countera...

I was at work one day and my blood pressure dropped to 75/43 so I went to the hospital because I'm normally very healthy and I didn't feel right. So the doctor ran tests and said I have low potassium but didn't say how low just gave me a prescription to take one pill a day of potassium chloride 10meq for 14 days. But somebody was telling me that you can take too much potassium and it could be deadly. What I'm asking is do you think the dr prescribed the right amount for me? And should I follow up with a dr? Sorry my anxiety is getting the best of me just wanna ease my mind a little ## Levels of either too high and too low of potassium can both be fatal (that's why the MD gave you potassium chloride tabs to take). So, yes, you can take too much but if you were already...

the drug had some sort of indented shape in the middle of it, and from what I can remember it was quite shiny, gold and yellow. the drug made me bite the inside of my cheeks like MD normally makes you do. it took an hour for the pill to kick in and I bought it off my mate for five pounds. My ears began to ring in the club I went to and I felt really good and intimate with my mates. I suddenly woke up in the smoking area on the floor and couldn't actually get up. I can still remember the voices of my mates trying to wake me up but I couldn't physically get up. ## Hi Elsie, Sorry to hear about your experience after taking that pill. Surely you knew what you were getting yourself into before you bought it, right? It sounds like it may have been some sort of illicit/street drug or p...

I have uncontrollable flatus naturally interfering with life on lbrance for breast cancer, but my MD says it's not a typical reaction. I feel that microcolitis is causing a conflict. I have tried probiotics and now Beano and am limiting gassy items with no significant results. I need suggestions. ## Your doctor is correct, that is not a normal side effect according to FDA reports. They typically include nausea, vomiting, headache, and weight changes. Is this the only medication you are currently taking?
