Why was DEXTROPOPOXYPHENE (DPP) rcemoved with such minimal evidence? What is it's replacement? NOTHING IS as Effective! What were the ulterior motives here? Who was set to make a fortune with an alternative? ## Well, to be honest the evidence wasn't minimal. There were repeated proven reports of its cardio-toxicity for years and many people who suffered severe injury, or lost loved ones to these cardiac events had been putting the evidence together and presenting it to the various drug agencies for years, trying to get them to pay attention. And as to its efficacy, that was also very questionable, because it is actually just a very mild narcotic and there are much better and safer ones on the market. My son has warts on his hands that have calloused over. We have tried EVERYTHING to get rid of them including injections into them without success. I bought Terrasil but after reading some reviews I'm wondering I I should not get my hopes up. Has anyone had success with this product? ## I dont about Terrasil & i don't know which part of the world you're in but as a child i had warts on my fingers and someone suggested the sap from a green pawpaw (papaya). I am from Durban, South Africa and it was easily available. I rubbed it a few times a day for about 3 - 4 days and it worked miraculously. Since then three other people have tried this and it worked - one person on fingers, another on elbow and the third had a wart hanging out of her nose resembling a noogie. Someone el...

Hi there, I've just recently come off the Jadelle 2 months ago and I haven't received my period. I get the cramps normally no spotting nothing! My tummy feels weird every morning and I'm just wanting to know how long it will take to get my period again and is this normal? I want my body back to normal. ## It can take a couple of months for your body to balance your hormones back out on its own and for things to return to normal, but if you go past 3 months without a period, you should consult your doctor. The FDA lists the other withdrawal effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, weight changes and irritability. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hi. I have had jadelle in for 11 months, but now im bleeding badly and I want to remove it. Where can I do that? #...

Had the Jadelle implant inserted late july 2013. First week, no spotting but had really bad headaches and nausea. Week 2, I started spotting lightly. Then it got worse. Would start spotting n have heavy bleeding every time I had intercourse with my husband. Had the implant removed today. Phew! My upper arm is quite itchy, around the area of the incision. Other than that, looking forward to making a full recovery n some medical exams around the pelvic area to make sure all is A OK. Wouldn't recommen Jadelle to anyone ## Wow! I'm very sorry about the bad experience you had with it. Though you've had it removed, it could take a few months for your body to rebalance your hormones on its own. So, you may still experience some menstrual irregularities for awhile. Have you ever jus...

Hi all, 6 weeks ago I had my operation and was told that as only half my thyroid had been removed, I would not need medication. My level has come back at 7.87 and have been prescribed 25 mg dose of Levthyroxine to start tomorrow morning. I suppose I am really asking if anyone can tell me their experiences when they first started medication as I am due to return to work on Monday and wondering how I may be affected and what to look out for. Thank you ## How did your return to work go? Have you have any problems since you started the medication? Learn more Levothyroxine details here. I have never taken it, but from other posts on here, I can tell you that when first starting it, some people have experience nausea, dizziness, palpitations and irritability. ## Hi Verwon, Back to work is goi...

I heard Paxil has been removed from the market. True? Anyone know why? Also, are there any side effects or reaction concerns with taking Paxil (Paroxetine) along with Serzone (Nefazodone)? Both show side effects including mood swings and hostility. ## Why was Paxil removed from the market? ## I had just started on it, thought it was working OK, went in for my first eval., and was switched to Lexapro. The nurse said Paxil was no longer being prescribed and was being pulled off the market. No one seemed to know why. H ## I was perscribed paxil by my doctor to help with post partem depression and daily stress about 4 months ago. I honestly think that I should be on something different but I don't really know much about the drug game. If anyone has any personal experiences to share plea...

I have had six teeth removed from my upper mouth and am suffering pain. My dentist said to take Paracetamol and Ibruprofen alternately but not a lot of good. My Doctor says Enantyum 25. Is this a good idea? ## Hi Justian, it sounds like the medications which your doctor is recommending are not very strong for severe pain. Rather, they are intended to be mild to moderate pain relievers, so it does sound in lie with getting some teeth removed. Enantyum is reported to contain the active ingredient Dexketoprofen, which is also an NSAID (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug), in the same class of medications as Paracetamol and Ibuprofen. From what you are saying it sounds to me like your dentist is only recommending over the counter medications. As long as you follow the instructions on the ...

That said, it may take a week or so, for such a reaction to fully clear up.

I want the pump taken out and to be put back on oral meds... Can they fill me with saline and wean me down orally? I don't want the pump filled again. I'm scared of leaks. Something has been going on and I want it out. They say they have to fill it again and wean me off. ## You have to be weaned off slowly from the pump which takes several months to do. If you are having pain you should remain on it then have the medication adjusted accordingly. Fear of having complications is not a valid concern for removing your pain pump. With the recent television reports of opioid abuse your doctor will NOT follow your request to be put on oral pain meds.. You may be seen as an abuser looking for oral pain medication ## My mom has had a morphine pain pump for over 3yrs. Just a couple weeks ...

Hi Cancer Patients. My right kidney was removed about a year ago with stage 3 kidney cancer. A year later it returned with 7 tumors in my colon, small intestines, liver and abdomen - stage 4 kidney cancer. I was turned down for an operation at a big local hospital. They wanted me on Sutrent as a substitute. A second opinion at City of Hope Cancer Hospital, Duarte, CA had a wonderful surgeon and three other specialist surgeons remove all 7 tumors in a 10 hour operation. Now I am on a test for Votrient to keep tumors from coming back taking 800 mg daily. Has anyone been on this test after a similar experience? How are your progressing? ## Liver and Kindey cancer ## Hi BeeGee, Sorry to hear about the recent challenges you've been facing. Just out of curiosity, what was your diet like b...

Hi there, I got my jadelle out over a month ago and I still havent had my period, should I be purchasing a pregnancy test? ## Have you had unprotected intercourse since having it removed? If so, then yes, a pregnancy test would be wise. Jadelle will only protect you from pregnancy as long as it is in and actively working. If you've no had unprotected relations, then it may just be due to your body trying to rebalance your hormones, as using a hormonal contraceptive such as this can throw them off for awhile. ## Hi. I was using Jadelle for one year and I removed it. I need to know the side effect after removing it. I put it in for five years and experienced long periods of bleeding.
