HERPES ZOSTER VACCINE ## I have had Herpes Simplex which should effect my mouth. My Igm titer which should be less than 20 is 785. I get Herpes everywhere and on both sides of my body. Immunologist looked at my outbreak and after bloodwork for EVERYTHING she said I had Herpes in my DNA. First outbreak, 1975 as appendix burst. Since then, I'm 65 now, I get outbreaks every other month and before it comes the lymp nodes in the area it will be in swell, giving me a sign . I cannot have any prednisone or cortisone as she said it would really blow up my already painful shingles. And once you have a few outbreaks the vaccine is not recommended. And yep, I have tried all the Acycolvir etc both to prevent & to treat and they have no effect on me. I wonder if my Mom's drinking while P...

Vaginal discharge after Canesten capsule
1 Reply RSS
Hello, I had classic symptoms of thrush. Cottage cheese discharge, itchy burning irritation and no odor. Really swollen like I've never experienced. Had sex a week before for first time in ages so thought my pH may have been disturbed. We both had std tests prior and were clear. Saw a nurse and she prescribed Canesten cream plus capsule. I had already been using the cream externally for 3 days so I took the capsule right away. I started feeling a bit of inner relief but now my discharge is this thick liquid that looks cream colored when in there but on my finger looks creamy yellow and on white tissue looks yellow. There is no odor just the itchiness. It's now over 24 hours since I took the capsule. Is that discharge a normal reaction to medication and how long before it clears ...

Half of a blue elipitical pill with either 86, 98, or 96
2 Replies RSS
I found half of a blue pill. It looks like it may have been scored, can't tell for sure. It has an imprint of either 86, 98, or 96? ## Valacyclovir - 500mg commonly used to treat herpes and other viruses. ## @Doc, From what I can tell, the 500mg Valacyclovir hydrochloride tablet I'm seeing is indeed oblong and blue, but the imprint on it is "F 82". So if it were broken in half there would just be the "82" showing and not any of the prospective numbers that were mentioned by Randi (86, 98, or 96). I guess it all depends on the condition of the pill and how Randi interpreted it in whatever state it was found, but as far as I know, 500mg Valacyclovir is still considered an educated guess and not necessarily the correct answer. Hopefully Randi will post back soon wit...

can gonorrhea be treated with this

Can Amoxicillin/Clavulanate 875 be used for gonorrhea symptoms? ## Hello, Dee! How are you? Yes, it can be used to treat it, though some doctors prefer antibiotic shots. The FDA lists the typical side effects of antibiotics as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. You should also make sure to complete the full course of treatment as prescribed. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I'm seeing a discharge coming from my genitals and I have amoxicillin. Could I use it? ## I have been taking doxycycline for the past two days now as treatment for gonorrhea but haven't been seeing any sign of improvement or development yet. ## Hi, I just started taking 625mg amoxicillin and clavulanic antibiotics. Will it work for gonorrhea?

What is the difference between valacyclovir hcl 500mg and valacyclovir 1gm tablets? Why does one have hcl on the prescription bottle and the other just says valacyclovir? ## The only different between what you listed is the dosage, and the HCL just designated the specific chemical salt that medication has been derived from, some places list it on the prescription, and some don't. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, flatulence, and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?

My son has warts on his hands that have calloused over. We have tried EVERYTHING to get rid of them including injections into them without success. I bought Terrasil but after reading some reviews I'm wondering I I should not get my hopes up. Has anyone had success with this product? ## I dont about Terrasil & i don't know which part of the world you're in but as a child i had warts on my fingers and someone suggested the sap from a green pawpaw (papaya). I am from Durban, South Africa and it was easily available. I rubbed it a few times a day for about 3 - 4 days and it worked miraculously. Since then three other people have tried this and it worked - one person on fingers, another on elbow and the third had a wart hanging out of her nose resembling a noogie. Someone el...

I have been treated with BV earlier this year, and my bf and I had contact 3 weeks ago. after a few days, I noticed my vagina got itchy and I had some grayish discharge, and I just observed and wait what it is till I got my period. After my period I now observed a yellow discharge but I don't feel itchy anymore. I went to my OB gyne and she diagnosed it with chlamydia, but I never had undergone any lab tests with her, and she just said it's chlamydia because my bf is an american :(. She prescribed Doxin for 10 days and I started taking it. I went to another doctor. The OB told me it's a BV so I had to take neo penotran for 7 days, and then I told her that i'm taking doxin as well. found a pill on my bed when i got home today. no idea how it got there or what is. it's a white oval pill with 'V | J' on one side and a 'c' on the other side. ## I couldn't find a listing for this, but I really have to wonder why you aren't more worried about how it got there, rather than what it is. Personally, I'd be more concerned with who was in my room and why? Did you ever find anything out about this? ## Did you ever find out what these pills were? I found them lying around in a friend's flat and she was really cagey when I asked her about them. I'm concerned for her and think that something might be wrong. ## It's Aciclovir... for herpes. Valacyclovir with Ibuprofen
11 Replies RSS
I've been searching everywhere for an answer to this, but does anybody know if it is okay to take Advil with Valacyclovir? My wife's gotten a headache (a reported side effect) and is really wanting to take a pain medication. I have read that individuals should check with their doctor before taking Valacyclovir if they are taking NSAIDs such as Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen, but I can't seem to find a definite answer if one Advil will be harmful. ## Ibuprofen is not specifically listed as a drug which interacts with Valacyclovir (meaning it is not implicitly described as dangerous to take together with it, whereas other drugs have been mentioned). This does not mean that you shouldn't double check with your doctor or pharmacist, but she should be good to take an Advil, as lo...

Have shingles, took 4 hydroco/acetaminop 5-325mg tab qua in last 2 days as prescribed have not had any relief from excruciating pain. When should I get some relief from pain? ## Hello, Rayna! How are you feeling? I'm very sorry that you're so miserable! The good news is that once is clears up, Shingles doesn't usually recur! Something topical might help a bit more, if used in conjunction with the pills. There are things available over the counter, such as Dermoplast and others that are sold for sunburn and such. If your doctor says it's okay for you to use one, then they can even prescribe something, or your pharmacist can help you find something to try. That problem with herpes viruses is that they are a skin condition, so they are topical and while you can take an oral ...

Lyvosiz M and Pregabid NT

Dear Sir, My mother was infected with Herpes zoaster (right half portions of her waist and spread up to the right half portions of the belly), since Aug. 2016. She had undergone treatment by two medical specialists but couldn't alleviate its severe unusual itching, burning and painful condition. So we consulted a skin specialist and from the beginning of January (4 months to date) she has been taking Lyvosiz-M and Pregabid NT and now she is feeling quite better than before; although the itching problem has not yet stopped, and from March onward we couldn't re-consult the same doctor but continued the above mentioned medicine for the last two months. Now, could you please advise me whether she should stop taking these medicines or use any substitute for these medicines, or if no ...

How to cure my genital warts
2 Replies RSS
I want to know is that Terrasil Max can cure my genital warts at my anus area? ## There is not cure for genital warts, they are caused by an STD and once you are infected, you will always have it. Terrasil Max is an over the counter product, that really isn't proven to help with anything, it contains a complex of minerals and it may not be safe to use in the genital area. Have you consulted a doctor for proper treatment? There are some medications, such as antivirals, that can lessen the frequency of recurrences. ## I'm 38 years and was recently diagnosed with genital warts. Can pet vat (persivate) ointment help to make them disappear?
