I was on subutex 8mg and ive been reading about these new subutexs with the 8 and the arrow on them. I got a different kind there zubsolv 5.7 mg/1.4 mg? I dont understand is one of these pills equal to a 8 mg? There small white round tablet imprinted with 5.7 on the front?

Well I would say if you can afford to buy all those vicodin and other drugs you are taking now off the street then why can't you afford the suboxone? I bet the subs add up to less cost then the narcs off the street. But anyway, Yes the zubsolv costs a lot less than subs and will have the same affect on you that the subs did. Good luck to you.

Hi Ashley. Congratulations on your progress so far. Weaning yourself off Zub will be relatively the same. It is an extremely powerful drug so practicing self discipline while decreasing your dosage will be extremely important. Just remember that getting off of Zub needs to be your primary goal in life. Please do not stay on it for long. Start decreasing your dosage and continue with that process very slowly. If you adhere to that mindset you will experience very minor withdrawals. You can do this...good luck!

I'm sorry for your loss Ashley and I understand your trepidation regarding withdrawals. Just know that if you wean yourself off of this drug SLOWLY you can do this with little discomfort. The fact is that us addicts are big babies when it comes to pain and discomfort. I just decided that if I experienced minor withdrawals then that was my penance for being so stupid and getting myself in this mess in the first place. Please see my posts on this page. I discuss how I weaned myself off and my withdrawal symptoms were quite minor. And please remember that you truly are a lot stronger than you think. Good luck and keep me posted :-)

Hello again Grunt111!!! I didn't want to say anything but I'm sooooo glad you decided to go back on that horrible stuff for a little while longer. The fact is, Sub is so very potent and cannot be misconstrued when it comes to its strength. PLEASE do me, AND YOURSELF, a favor...take the .25 for 3 or 4 days and then cut it down to even less for a couple of days. I only say this because I want you to DETOX as comfortably as possible. I know how hard this is. I don't know your story (how long or how much you've abused your body, mind or soul) but I literally pray that you experience the least amount of discomfort. If you decrease the dosage gradually, slowly, etc....you could literally feel 'almost' no discomfort. We are addicts so the most important thing is 'to NOT keep doing the same thing and expecting a different result'. Basically, this drug is not intended to keep you high but to help WEAN you from all drugs. Stay The Course...PLEASE <3

I wonder if most of the pain you are suffering is from chronic nerve pain--which would make sense as your nerve endings in one of your most sensitive extremity' swerve crushed. Even phantom pain is a brute! Ask your physician about lyrica or gabapentum. I have chronic pain in my sciatic nerve
where herniations calcified and made a stone pressing on nerve root. I have been taking fentanyl 75 mg transdermal patch but won't recommend it as withdrawal is a nightmare. I have been taking lyrica in fairly high doses..some use gabapentum. Might be worth a try. Next recommendation is medical marijuana Indicate Glass. Take only when you can't sleep for the extreme pain as our bodies quickly becomes immune to smallest dose.
Good luck!

I completely understand your urgency Sarah. This stuff is just as nasty as any street drug out there. I, too, was on the lowest dose so that's a good thing for you. The problem with the pills is that they are hard to cut up in even amounts so if you are unable to get Suboxone film then you will need to do your best when cutting the pill up. You are taking a whole pill now so I would suggest cutting your dosage by 1/4 (cut your pill into 4 pieces). Take 3/4 of the pill for 4 to 5 days and see how you feel. If you can handle that dosage reduction then start taking 1/2 a pill for another 4 to 5 days. I'm sure you see what I'm getting at...decrease it by quarters until you are down to nothing. I have no idea what your back story is but in my case, I had to be especially vigilant when it came to the end of taking them and not letting my 'addicted mind' try to convince myself that I needed that crutch. I did experience some discomfort when I stopped all together but in retrospect, I'm grateful for that because I believe that experience will help keep me clean. My symptoms were not debilitating but as we both know, us addicts are King Babies and we don't like to experience discomfort. I hope I was able to answer your question but if not, just let me know sweetie. You're not alone in this fight and I can assure you...life is so much better on the other side of this crap :-)

I tried suboxone films and the orange pill. The taste before and after made me sick. I wasn't keeping it under the tongue the whole 15 mins so the doc said I wasn't getting the full affect, suboxone gave me the worst headache and caused me to clench my jaw. So my teeth ached, headache was the worst..and on top of not feeling good I still had mad cravings for oxycodone .. Or that high feeling .so my clinician suggested Zubsolv...I have been in it for two months now and it works great I feel wonderful no headaches, decreased body aches and no sweating perfusely like I did on subs. I couldn't do anything with out beads of sweat dripping off my forehead and body odor.. Terrible. But now I have none of those side effects. Except occasional constipation. Zubolv has a unique taste. Actually really good mint. It dissolves 10 mins faster. Takes only 5 mins but they recommend u keep it there for 15 to get the absolute best effect....so if anyone is having side effects from suboxone please try zubsolv.. It's a great alternative.. A little pricey. $32.86 for 14/tabs.. But feeling good makes a huge difference.. Good luck.

Yea dude I've been on suboxone generic tabs for 3 years (with a couple klonopin, they have been very therapeutic) BUT ive been switched to this bulls*** Zubsolv 8mg equivalent. There is no euphoria, no energy, I get grumpy, and most of all I just get tired and hungry. If I take a nap, I'll be in full withdrawals in the pm. This medication is, as of now, just keeping me well for a slight time from not having the medication itself. I'm pissed, I won't have any Zubsolv for tomorrow, then I see my apathetic a**hole doc the next morning. I gotta see wtf I can pay out of pocket bc unless my body gets used to this zub-s*** fast, its time to waste another great summer getting off a medication.

Okay I'm starting to believe this is a smart forum. I went from 2 years on a nice white, round 8/2 pill generic to Zubsolv. It did take about a month, but with the benzos, gabapentin, and cymbalta… without any drinking or alcohol and I feel great every morning. Wach what you read on here

I took Subutex 3 yrs ago, switched to Suboxone pills, then strips past 2 years and now the past month Zubsolv. The Subutex was a "high" taking them but definetly hard to taper off of. I liked the Suboxone but seemed I was always sleepy & gained a few pounds on them. The Zubsolv definitely is better tasting & has virtually eliminated any cravings or withdrawals but I feel absolutely no type of high or euphoric feeling. I was taking 10-15 Loritab & 1-3 OxyContin a day & the Zubsolv only took prolly 10 days/doses & I have NO withdrawal symptoms. It works & if your serious about getting clean & feeling normal again it's the best in my opinion...

I switched from Sub 8 mg/2 to Zub 1.4/.36. For the last 45 days of the Sub I had cut it down to taking half a daily dose and had no issues (other than a little tiredness). I actually forgot to take it at times. Because of insurance issues I'm now on the Zub and have no problems (other than a little tiredness again). I want to get off Zub completely. I do not take any other meds (just vitamins). Any advice from someone who has successfully done this would be greatly appreciated.

Can anyone chime in on how long it took them to not feel weak and tired while decreasing their Zub dosage as well as after they stopped taking Zub? I started with Sub 8/2 in Feb 14 and am now down to Zub 1.4/.36 once a day. I will start taking it once every other day starting tomorrow. My ONLY issue is a lack of strength and tiredness. Once I stop, when can I expect to feel more energetic? Thank you in advance for any advice you can give!!!

Hope,

Sounds like you are doing well! You are getting very close now.

If you make the jump from the 1.4 mg zub, you will experience withdrawal symptoms. There are medications which help with that. Clonidine, neurontin, Valium and a few others. You will need to taper off of each one of these meds very carefully though... Especially the Valium. Abruptly stopping could result in seizure and possibly death. You can do this!! Hell, you may not need these meds. I will tell you that you will probably have insomnia for a week or so. But each day gets better. Keep me posted!!!

I am officially 2 weeks clean from Zubsolv. I was on a half of a 5.7 each day so I made quite the jump. Good Luck!

Thanks Joey! I'm so happy you're doing better and as for your anxiety, we both know that exercise is great for that. If you don't mind me asking, how long did it take for you to stop Zub altogether? The number of days/weeks/months from the moment you started reducing your dosage? How long did you go between each dosage reduction? I hope you don't mind me peppering you with questions. I really appreciate your responses and support Joey :-)

Hi Joey. Well, I was able to wean myself off completely! I feel incredibly fortunate that the only symptoms I had were a little lethargy and RLS in my legs for two days. It has been a week and while I still feel a bit 'lazy' I am doing great. I'm still a little leary because of all the horror stories I've read on this site. If it has been a week, will I unexpectedly experience more symptoms in the coming weeks or months ahead?

Hi Texan patriot! I would highly suggest you start tapering now because Zubsolv/Suboxone are extremely powerful drugs. Think about it...I took 6 to 8 fiorinal with codeine capsules every day for a little over 4 years yet one tiny Zubsolv pill staved off the withdrawals. THAT is scary powerful. While it's a lot easier to cut Suboxone film, just start breaking the pills in pieces and SLOWLY start taking smaller and smaller amounts until it's almost microscopic. I successfully weaned myself off and I've been Zub free for 3 weeks. My withdrawals were minor and very manageable. You can do this!!! Good luck sweetie :-)
