How long after you stop Suboxone do you have withdrawal symptoms?
978 Replies RSS
My 63y/o mother survived chemo and radiation for throat cancer but was unable to stop the morphine 15mg twice a day without horrible withdrawal symptoms. Her MD put her on Suboxone 8mg/2mg once a day in June. She even took half the strip on most days and the doctor was very pleased and anticipated that she would be able to stop altogether in November. She unfortunately had a stroke 14 days ago and has been in the hospital. The first 7 days she was confused from the stroke but now she is weak and forgetful but is no longer disoriented. She told me tonight that she thought she needed her Suboxone. She said she thought she was going thru withdrawal. I was floored. She is not having any outward signs of withdrawal: no back/stomach pain, no nausea/vomiting, no sweating or tremors. Isn't ...

what is the maximum dose of suboxone or subutex when you have severe pain? ## what is the maximum daily dose of subutex? I'm taking it to wean off of opiate pain killers but may need to stay on it for chronic pain. My doctor has me taking 2mg up to 6 times a day, but it feels like too much and I feel sick at 6 mg. I can't imagine taking more. Any answers would be helpful... thanks. ## if u have true clinical pain suboxone will not work it is for opiate detox only it is a opiate blocker which will in turn allow ur brain to make its own dopimine ## feelinbettergoinbroke is wrong, suboxone is used for the treatment of chronic pain. Although, I think the reason you are getting sick is because your doctor has you taking 2mg up to 6 times a day. That in itself is causing you to become...

I am writing you at all hours of the night due to my insomnia (my last dose was July 19th at 7pm). When I stopped, I was on 1mg a day (after 6yrs of use and 1.5 yrs of tapering down). It hasn't been easy, but it will get better, and it WILL get better for you too! Life sucks for a couple of weeks, no doubt, but just think of the freedom from dependence when it'...

Pain management with soboxone I'm in chronic acute pain & I need a doctor that will treat my pain w/ soboxone. Please help me!!!!!! ## you may need to post what state you are in and your city of one close by. ## Sorry to say. Subxone is not a pain drug. It is used for patients with a drug addiction to needle drug abuse. Found this out the hard way. When you do find a doc to prescribe legitimate pain meds. You will be discriminatied for ever taking this med for pain. Repeat it is not pain medicine. ## Hello Amber (and Goldie), I too suffer from chronic pain due to degenerative disc disease, herniated discs, and bone spurs on my cervical and lumbar spine. Cheap suboxone doctors

I am looking for a doctor who prescribes suboxone in the New Orleans, slidell Louisiana area. I am a sing le mom with no insurance, can't afford 350 a visit and prescription cost. My kids have mdicaid but I don't. Thanks, ## Suboxone treatment is still pretty new, so I am not aware of any doctors that offer cheaper prices, because they do have to maintain special approval and monitoring to treat patients with it. Learn more Suboxone details here. If you're looking for a cheaper alternative, you might want to check into Methadone clinics in your area, as it is usually much cheaper, since it's been used for a very long time. I have been on 8 mg/2mg Suboxone strips for 1 year. I am having a tooth (back molar) extraction in the morning. I used my Suboxone strip this morning & the tooth extraction is at 9:30 am tomorrow. If I don't use another Suboxone strip before the extraction, would I be able to take Hydrocodone after my surgery? I don't want to get sick, but I am terrified of going through this surgery with no pain meds. Please help. ## should be 48 hrs to alow to leave your system ## So if I took a 10 mg Hydrocodone after not taking a Suboxone for 24-28 hours, will it throw me into withdrawals? That would do me in after surgery to end up in wd's. ## Sorry to say but 8 mg of Suboxone is way stronger then any hydrocodone. It would take a year for you to even feel the effects. Tolerance take...

can you take suboxone and codeine
37 Replies RSS
hi, i am taking suboxone i would like to know if i take codeine with it would i feel the opiate? Also is it possible to go through withdrawals from codeine if on suboxone? ## more info please! 1) what dose are you on, how long have you been taking suboxone? 2) How much codeine we talking about? Are you meaning a dose to make you feel high? Or do you have a headache?! 3) what is your usage history? If you have been on Suboxone over a few days then dont take codeine as it will have no effect. It wont hurt you but wont do anything either as the suboxone will boot it out your receptors. You say 'would I feel it' which suggests to me you are looking to get high off the codeine. So the answer is 'No' unless you are on a very low dose and take a high codeine dose. I honestly wo...
