Suboxone Overview

Buprenorphine is a semisynthetic opioid derivative of thebaine. It is a mixed partial agonist opioid receptor modulator that is used to treat opioid addiction in higher dosages, to control moderate acute pain in non-opioid-tolerant individuals in lower dosages and to control moderate chronic pain in even smaller doses.[3] It is available in a variety of formulations: Cizdol, Subutex, Suboxone, Zubsolv, Bunavail (available as buprenorphine HCl alone or buprenorphine and naloxone HCl (see bupre...

looking for help for son he done have a job,he needs help for drug addition ## If anyone needs a Suboxone doctor in Atlanta let me know. Mine is great, and I think he has a few openings. ## i am needing to find a suboxone doc in okc area that takes insurance. Any suggestions? ## I DO!! ## I need to find a suboxine dr in wisconsin. ## I'm in atlanta and uninsured. The most affordable suboxone doc I've found charges $250 per month just to write the script (cash only, of course!) and then I pay anywhere from $6-8 per pill. I don't want to go back onto methadone for countless reasons, but it is cheaper and may be my only option. If anyone in/around Atlanta knows a doctor who really wants to help and not just exploit desperate people, please let me know! ## I am a 40 yr old disab...

Suboxone Doctors In Indiana Who Accept Medicaid

Need a doctor who prescribes suboxone in Indiana - i am on medicaid. ## While I'm not aware of which doctors accept medicaid, I can provide you with links to help you locate specific pain management doctors within your local area. You'd inevitably have to ask the receptionist though if the doctor accepts medicaid or any other type of insurance that you might have. All you have to do is input your city or zip code for narrowed results: {link removed because site no longer exists} You can give this other page a try too if you come up with different results for some reason or another: I hope this helps! ## im 26 and dying from my drug addiction but only have indiana medicade and need help bad ## Hello, Are you still in need of inform...

How long after you stop Suboxone do you have withdrawal symptoms?
913 Replies RSS
My 63y/o mother survived chemo and radiation for throat cancer but was unable to stop the morphine 15mg twice a day without horrible withdrawal symptoms. Her MD put her on Suboxone 8mg/2mg once a day in June. She even took half the strip on most days and the doctor was very pleased and anticipated that she would be able to stop altogether in November. She unfortunately had a stroke 14 days ago and has been in the hospital. The first 7 days she was confused from the stroke but now she is weak and forgetful but is no longer disoriented. She told me tonight that she thought she needed her Suboxone. She said she thought she was going thru withdrawal. I was floored. She is not having any outward signs of withdrawal: no back/stomach pain, no nausea/vomiting, no sweating or tremors. Isn't ...

suboxone doctors that accept tenncare memphis tn

I have been on suboxone for a while. However the Dr I am currently seeing is falling short on his duties as a Dr. He didn't come in until 4pm on Friday and 6 of us were told to come back Saturday. Well Saturday after waiting for 7 hours he called the office and said he wasn't coming and he's only open Thursday-Saturday most weeks and none at all other weeks. He's impossible to reach to even get medicine called in. Anyways. In short I am in need of a suboxone Dr that accepts Tenn care in the Memphis and surrounding areas. Or one that doesn't charge an arm and a leg. Please. I'm a mom of 4 and am so very desperate to not be sick anymore. Thanks. ## Hello, Katherine! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're dealing with a doctor like that. There is a search e...

suboxone/personality change

Since my son started taking suboxone, he has developed hatred for me. We have always been very close, but now he is verbally abusive. It is only when he takes the drug. I should add, he sometimes drinks beer while on it. Has anyone else experienced this? ## He's taking too much !! I've felt the exact same way when taking more than 12mg. I'm on 6mg and feel great. I don't think the beer worsens the suboxone, but it doesn't help. I'd suggest he lower his suboxone. Or, instead of taking it all at once, take half in the a.m., half in the evening. good luck ! ## my friend has been taking 8mg 4 times a day for about 4 months. Just this week his behavior went off the wall, he is like a different person. Can he be having a reaction to this medication. He has been complai...

i was blessed to find the st anthony's START program in okc 3 yrs ago & it literally changed my life; i've done a 180 degree turn in my life in just about every way. i went into rehab needing desperately to get off oxycontin, which i'd been on along with most other Rx pain medications since a neck injury that temporarily put me in a wheel chair in '05. i had come to believe all the oxy in the world would not allow me to function normally with any tolerable level of pain. i didn't know a thing about suboxone until that time, upon going into the START program where i found the most incredible physician, dr charles shaw. with his referral i was able to get into an okc pain mgmt office where i've been a patient since feb, '12, soon to be 3 yrs. however, thank...

I just got switched from subutex to suboxone the teva white round ones that day 93 on One side and 5721 on the other side. Has anyone ever been on these and how well do they work and could u just let me know how that did for u. I'm kinda nervous about switching. . ## Hello! I just got thest from my pharmacy as well and the side effects were really bad for me. I don't even think that they are real. Let me ask you this, if you take three or four of the pills and look at one side of each, looking at the 93 side left to right, and then when you flip the pill over to the left does the 5721 read at a totally different angle (the the 5721 is not imprinted in the exact same location as the 93?) do this with a few of the pills . I am curious to see if the imprints are straight across rea...

Which Side Of The Suboxone Do I Put On My Tounge
6 Replies RSS
Which Side Of The Suboxone Do I Put On My Tounge? tHE SIDE WITH THE N8 ON IT OR THE SMOOTH SIDE ## It doesn,t matter and you puy it under your tounge and close your mouth and sit quietly for about 5 minutes while it desolves after that don,t eat drik or smoke for another 5 minutes according to my doctor. There are veins under the tounge that they disolve into. Like I said, sub. dr. told me this. ## That's correct, since the whole thing is specially designed to dissolve sublingually, it doesn't matter which side faces the tongue. Are there any other comments or questions? ## You do NOT put the Suboxone ON your tongue, like you said. You put the Suboxone tablet UNDER your tongue and let it melt. To answer your question, it does NOT matter what side you put in on under your tongue....

how long after taking a 1/4 suboxone can you take a Percocet?
20 Replies RSS
I took a 1/4 of a suboxone a friend had given me around 6:00 pm today. How long do I have to wait until I can take a Percocet for pain and not get it and have it work? ## 1/4 of a suboxone isn't a very detailed description how many MG's was the strip?(i know this is an old comment but whatever) ## I know this topic is a few weeks old, but I do agree with josh (post #1) in that the answer to the original thread question would largely depend on how many milligrams of Suboxone you're taking. Based on some other cases I've seen, I'd take a shot in the dark and say it may be up to a week before it's out of your body. Although several personal factors such as age, weight, diet, etc, could also influence the excretion rate. I hope this info helps! Please post back if yo...

yes there are generic Suboxone
57 Replies RSS
there is a generic Suboxone out now. they begin shipping them to pharmacies the last week of February. also, if you have any type of insurance you will automatically get the generic suboxin. The doctor has no say in whether you get the name brand or generic really. even if he writes a prescription for suboxone, the pharmacist will automatically give you the generics if you have insurance. if you don't have any insurance, you can ask the pharmacist to give you generics because they are cheaper. Plus, R and B has stopped making the name brand suboxin pills. they are only making be films now. So whenever your pharmacy runs out of the original suboxin, there will not be any more. ## @sean21, Do you happen to know by any chance who the manufacturer is or what the new generic Suboxone is ...
