Hi Hope, yes I was referring to you..I thank you for reaching out.. I'm back on the suboxone 8mg strips. I'm taking 4 mgs a day. I've been on buprenorphine since 2008. My doctor sent me out of rehab on Suboxone 16mgs a day. I had no idea I was leaving with just as big of a problem as I walked in there with., as far as having to rely on taking something everyday. I wasn't told that I was going to have to wean off . I wasn't given any instructions when it came to stopping them. When I went to my doctor 1 month after I got out of rehab he just kept prescribing them. I'm not complaining bc my life was unmanageable before I went into rehab. I had a serious opiate problem. I just wish I would have been told more about what I was taking. 16mgs a day was a very hefty dose. Being down to 4 doesn't feel any different. I still feel like I have a long road in front of me. When I take less I feel terrible and when I have to go out and do something for the whole day I find myself wanting to take 6mgs to make the day easier. I'm sure that's all in my head. I'm really having a hard time. My ins doesn't pay for any of them anymore., it's over $ 200.00 a month. I'm going back Monday and going to ask for the Subutex. I've heard they are just like the suboxone minus the naloxone and a lot cheaper. I'm going to start cutting the strips into 3 equal pieces and give that a try. It feels like I'm never going to get there. I'm so happy to hear you're 3 weeks clean of buprenorphine. CONGRATULATIONS! <3 It gives me hope. Thanks so much, Hope :)

Hi Ashley, I just read all of the stream. You're on the Zubsolv. I'm happy it's working for you. I was taking the Suboxone since 2008 and when I switched to Zubs bc of ins it was awful!!! So I ended up back on the Suboxone. Now going to get the Subutex filled today. I hope I'm not getting something else that doesn't work like the Zubs. The Subutex is a lot cheaper. I saw that you're off methadone and xanax too. That's amazing girl!!! I was on Methadone for 2 years a few years back and I loved it. It was so much better than running around and keeping up with 30 vicodin a day,. I was able to wean down in the clinic and get off. It seemed easier than this buph that's for sure. When I stopped the methadone I ended up on H. The clinic was not a good place for me. You hang in there, Ashley! My thoughts and prayers are with you <3

I just filled a free sample 15 of the zubsolv. I have been on the 8mg 3x a day of generic subutex for past 4 years. So this is end of my first day taking this zubsolv and feel like a truck hit me and left me for dead. About 20 min after taking the first dose I started to develop a headache so intense it felt like a brain freeze. Waiting for the medication to take effect... Waiting.... Nothing. Took another one at which point I felt okay but not anything like when I take the subutex. My entire body hurts, especially large muscles (back, legs, shoulders). I have had heart palpitations and horrible anxiety. I've had this weepy feeling like I'm going to burst into tears at any moment. My legs are restless and hands have been shaky, trembling. Seriously, if I didn't know better I would think I was in the early stages of opioid withdrawal! So, after doing some independent research Ive come to the following conclusion: The manufacturer of Zubsolv, in an attempt to formulate and market a medication to compete with suboxone, has reduced the amount of active ingredient (buprenorphine) to cut production cost thereby making the medication cheaper for the consumer than suboxone and increasing their profit margins. 5.7 mg sublingual does not = 8 mg sublingual, I mean, it just doesn't!

Yes Joey! Thank you for checking up on me. I took my last tiny dose on November 2nd. My symptoms weren't that bad. Lethargy, RLS, a little depression, etc. It was uncomfortable but very manageable though and being free of that awful drug is AMAZING. I will never put myself in that position again. In fact, when I've gotten a headache I will literally ask myself if I really need to take an aspirin. I just don't want to ingest any drug unless I truly need it. I feel great! How are you doing this holiday season?

Hi Grunt111. I was taking .25 every day for about 6 days. I can understand your discomfort given the high 'cliff' you jumped off of; .7 is still pretty strong. I definitely wouldn't have wanted to take that route. When did you stop? My most intense withdrawal symptoms lasted about 4 days to a week but I felt lethargy for a good month. However, as we all know, we get 'energy' from drugs whether it be street drugs or prescription and since I was on codeine for almost 5 years then Subs for about 10 months I really don't know if the lethargy was a withdrawal symptom or simply how I'm supposed to feel after all that time. Regardless, stay the course sweetie. It does get better. Us addicts are wimps when it comes to ANY amount of discomfort so dig deep and know that you can do this. Keep me posted with your progress!

My plan is to take .25 till Friday and stop there hopefully that will be it. I have to say in between the feeling off I do have moments short moments where I feel really good. Stay in touch

Of course you can Brittany!!! It's ridiculous that the doses are so high in the first place. The hard thing about Zubsolv though is that the pills are very soft so use a very sharp razor blade when cutting it. Suboxone is so much easier because it comes in film form so it is easily cut into smaller doses. Wean yourself off the Zub slowly and get yourself off of it! This drug is nasty!!! Good luck sweetheart :-)

I have looked a dozen times and just found it. I originally was looking for ways to live without fentanyl and hopefully lyrica so these drugs in discussion are unknown to me. Thank you Hope for your help.

Hang in there Nick. The time will seem like it's going slow but JUST HANG IN THERE! There is a light at the end of the tunnel. This is the best thing you will ever do for yourself. If you can, try exercising...force yourself if you have to. Ya gotta jumpstart those endorphins (the human body's natural drug to feel high on). It will also help you sleep. You're in my thoughts!

Hope

That's great Nick! It will definitely take time before you feel 'normal'. But then again, do you even remember what normal feels like? :-). It's a new normal and it's awesome!!! So happy for you Nick :-)

Hi Sarah. You mentioned you need to get off this ASAP but weaning off this crap is not that simple. I don't know the dosage you're taking but I cut the Zubsolv as small as I could but will admit that I switched to a 30 day supply of Suboxone at the end because the film is so much easier to cut. I was taking a microscopic amount for a couple of weeks before I finally quit. If Zub is all you have then you'll need to carefully chip off small amounts. Save the tiny crumbs too because this drug is powerful even in its smallest form. After I stopped I had a semi rough couple of weeks but it wasn't unbearable. It's been 5 1/2 months and I can't tell you how amazing it is to not take any medication. You can do this Sarah. Let me know if you have other questions and let me know how you're doing!!!

Hi Sarah. I responded last night but I don't see my response so I'm gonna try this again. Cut your pill as precisely as you can into quarters and start decreasing your dosage as such. You're taking 1 pill a day so start taking 3/4 of a pill for 4 to 5 days. If that is tolerable then decrease your dosage by another quarter and take half a pill for the next 4 to 5 days. Once you get down to taking 1/4 of a pill a day you may want to attempt to cut that in half as well. The key is to do it slowly, decreasing your dosage and letting your body get used to the decreases. You can do this!

I Research it and the subzolve 5.7 & 1.4 is just like taking a suboxin 8mg/2mg so it is just like tking the suboxin (same mg as above).

I am on zubsolv and pay nothing for it with the coupon from the pharmaceutical company that I got online. I also have insurance though. Same for suboxone. Anyway, pills are easy to break in half. I am right now trying to get off them so am breaking them in half.

I was an addict for 12 yrs. I think Zubsolv is a life saver. I have been on them since April 15th 2015. I started on 2 5.7 in the morning and 1 1.4 in the evening for my leg craps. I am down to 2 5.7s a day. I used to be subs before I got on Zubsolv from my doctor. I at first thought the same thing it can't be the same. But with in weeks I was loving the Zubsolv pillls so much better. I know they have saved my life. I would never go back to the all the hell pain pills on the street did to me. Just give it a try and see how you like it in a few weeks.

Zubsolv is working pretty well for me, I've been on approx 160mgs of methadone for about 3 years but stopped going to the clinic because they tried punishing me, taking my levels and take homes because my MD wrote me a script for. 2 mg Valium. She knew how much methadone I was on but said the benefits outweighed the risks in my case.. No dirty drug panels for 2 years and I'm self pay.. Around 480 Monthly. I wasn't about to start all over going daily for three months and then 6 days a week the next 3 months etc.. I have been getting the zubsolv and it is working great.. No interest in the pharmaceutical company, as someone suggested all the positive posts had some motive.. If you seriously want to be well and not high.. Try it

I feel exactly the same. Took subutex for over 2 years then forced to switch to this Zubsolv garbage and it feels as if I haven't taken anything since my last dose of subutex, this stuff might help some ppl but it doesn't work for me. Now I'm stuck with it AT LEAST for the next 3 weeks and have no assurance I'll get switched back when my next appt comes around. I'm definitely calling my Dr and addressing this before going back because I'm not gonna continue paying for something that's not working.

Zubsolv is TERRIBLE. It's nothing like subutex or suboxone at all! As addicts the stimulating feeling we get from the drug is a big part of it working towards recovery. As an addict when i did dose it was with whatever drug was around, mostly opiates. The "euphoric" feeling helps satisfy your body and mind needs which for me was the first step on a long road to recovery. Not to mention if your taking illicit drugs you never know what your gonna actually get. Personally having taken subutex, suboxone and Zubsolv, the first two are great but Zubsolv is bulls***. If they have any good reviews its probably someone from their company...good luck with everything. I wish you the best.
