Got hurt when I was in the military. I was a Ranger made a parachute jump one day parachute didn't open up all the way got ground hard. Continued to run 8 to 10 miles on a fractured leg r told I would be kicked out of the Rangers. Anyone who has been tab out and been in. A Ranger Bat. Know it is he'll on your body in the Ranger Battalion. My doctor started me on Norcos then Percocets. Now I'm on Hydromorphine M4. Told it was stronger but my pain is still there. Doctor told me not to get surgery till last resort. Need help on verge of loosing everything My job-my car - my home. Being a Ranger asking for help is usually not a option for us. Ive just started this medication yesterday. Ive had 4 since 6 pm last night. I have degenerative spine disease, Im in pain all the time. I was on MSIR 10mg. I was on 8-10 a day for three years. My new doctor has tried MESELON 30 mg, I hated them. Im now on these odd little pills and Im not impressed. I feel like Im on acid without the melting of things.. Im really irritated that this doctor switched me as the meds I was on were working just fine, Ide cut back to 6 a day if I was not in severe pain which is very rare. I simply want to know if I can take hydromorphine and hydrocordone together? And what would be the max dosage of each together before nausea would set in? ## Hello, Based on my research, there are no drug interactions found between Vicodin (Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone) and Dilaudid (Hydromorphone). This does not necessarily mean no interactions exist, but my sources state that every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is accurate. Just take the medication as prescribed, and if nausea occurs just speak with your doctor and lower the dose. I am currently addicted to hydromorphine an I do them IV. I been reading and searching a safe way at home to detox. I tried staying in a medical detox but failed a few times recently. I have purchased methadone pills on the street. Because I am sick and tired of always being sick, either looking for ways, and means to get my fix daily and I sat back and seriously decided enough was enough. A very strong pain reliever, be very careful with the usage. ## No, a round orange tablet with an H on one side of a score line and a 2 on the other side of the score, which is blank on the back is manufactured by Heritage Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 25mgs of Hydrochlorothiazide. i am perscribed 2 10mg methadone 4 x a day and i was sorting my meds for the weak and i took the wrong pile of pills and that was 6 10mg of methodone instead of my mixture of pills perscribed to me wich are 20mg methadon 8mg hydromorphine tinazadine and gabapentin should i worry about this ## Are you okay? Did anything happen? There is a chance that it could be too high of a dose and cause an overdose, but that would really be worse case scenario. Opana is terrible both IR and ER, same with Exalgo and even the 8 mg Dilaudid stinks soo folks those of us that truly need pain relief are now screwed. ## I am very sorry to read that you are having a problem. The Exalgo and the Dialudid both contain the same active ingredient, the narcotic Hydromorphine, so if one didn't work for you, then it makes sense that the other wouldn't, either. Opana contains Oxymorphone and from the title of your post, are you saying that the new Oxycontin doesn't work, either? If that is the case, what other options have you discussed with your doctor? I have been struggling with pain management for 15 yrars. I seems like I have tried every thing available. I have no relief from the pain. I am currently on Exalgo 32mg. still no help. This is a nightmare!! I suffer from multiple auto-immune diseases such as Connective Tissue Disease, R.A, Livedo, Raynauds, & traces of Lupus. All of which cause EXCRUTIATING PAIN!! On top of all of those, my body attacks itself 24/7!! Over the years the doctors have tried a ridiculous amount of different pain medications. Is hydromorphone the same as dilaudid I've. ## @Biglou, Hydromorphone is the generic name for Dilaudid (brand name), so yes, they are the same drug in that sense. However not all dosage forms are IV-based. For example, I've seen 4mg Dilaudid tablets in person and have also heard of patients taking 2 to 8mg tablets throughout this forum. One other thing to note is that they do make a brand called "Dilaudid-HP" (Hydromorphone Hydrochloride Inj.) which is marketed for intravenous use. Although, I have yet to find out if there is a generic form of the IV as well.
