54 733 white pill extended or no?
41 Replies RSS
I have small white pill with 54 733. I know it's Morphine but is it extended release or immediate? And can I break in half or even fourths? In a lot of pain right now and I am at work. Need some relief. Thank you!! ## The pill you have is Morphine sulfate (15 mg); NOT an extended release version. To answer your other question, yes, you can break this pill in half, as it has a score line. You can view a more detailed description of Morphine, by clicking on the link below... If you have any more questions or comments to add, please post back so I can further assist you. ## Hi Cookie, If the pill is a small round white pill with the numbers 54 733 it is an immediate release not extended. The extended release morphine are dark purple. Either way if you have a lot of pain it will just ta...

morphine to methadone
3 Replies RSS
I am currently on 54 ml. of Ordine 10, 150 mg Fentanyl patch, and 80 mg Targin, equivalent to about 1,200 mg of morphine a day. My pain specialist wants me to change to methadone or suboxone. What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance. ## Hello, Allan! How are you? Most people have said that Suboxone didn't do much for their pain, so if you need pain relief, you might be better off with the Methadone. I've never taken either one myself, I am just stating what I've learned from other posters on this site. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Does anyone else have any advice to offer? ## I really strongly suggest having nothing to do with Methadone...

green liquid morphine

How many different green liquid medications are there? My mom is prescribed liquid medicine and I need to know the name of it. It's green and highly addictive. ## My dad is on hospice. His morphine is blue. His morphine pills are blue. I hate giving it to him, but I hate him suffering more. I usually make sure he's on his oxygen really well before administering the meds. He usually screams out or he asks for it. I know he's hurting because in his lifetime he's only taken Tylox for maybe four days after surgery. The only other pain killer has been a Tylenol for headache. He hated medicine. I've had pain so severe until I've been on dilaudid and Actiq the pain lollipops. My doctor had to wean me off. That was a result of six back to back surgeries. I think I will a...

tiny round red pill with no markings - morphine?
Post a Reply
Not sure what these are, just looking for answers. It's a tiny red pill but a perfect circle and straight edges like the smarties candy but smaller. They are solid red but soft and the pills stick together. I was told they're for old people.

False positive morphine
18 Replies RSS
I am an injured vet with amputation. I am prescribed norco 10 mg and oxycontin 10mg extended release. I was told my last three ua's tested positive for morphine but I have not taken any morphine. They've even gone so far as to accuse me of using heroin which I would NEVER do. What the hell is going on? Why is morphine coming out? ## Who is drug testing you? Are they just using a drug screen cup? People who are not educated in this should not be testing people. If its just a cup they test with and do not send the urine to a test lab cups can and will show false positives. This happens a lot. If they send the urine to the lab or use blood screen they should talk to the lab about the results before accusing. Morphine will show up positive if you are taking any opiates. Your body na...

white round pill cti 103
1 Reply RSS
Does the white round pill with cti 103 contain morphine or something else? I was told that it was a trazodone. ## A white round pill marked with CTI 103 (in black ink) on one side and blank on the other, reportedly contains 75mgs of Diclofenac sodium (delayed release). For verification, the manufacturer is listed as Carlsbad Technology Inc. (hence the CTI) and the pill itself carries a National Drug Code of 61442-103-10. You can also view a photograph of the pill by clicking on the NDC link. Diclofenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Sounds like whoever told you is was Trazodone / Morphine had some ulterior motives... I hope this info helps!

Morphine Sulfate Is Keeping Me Awake..."HELP"!

I used to take Oxycodone 15mgs, 5X's a day. After 5 or so years, they stopped working on my pain. My pain management doctor put me on Morphine Sulfate IR 30mgs, 4X's a day. They work great. One problem, I'm up on and off all night. I'm assuming it's the MS IR 30's because I never had a problem with sleep. Does anyone know what I can do to get at least a few hours of straight sleep? ## Maybe try an over the counter sleep aid like zzzquil, unisom, etc or you could try some melatonin and see if that helps. Hope you find something that works for you! If you do could you post back with what you used to woo get some sleep? Best of luck on getting the sleep you need! ## Thanks Jason. I'll get some Melatonin tomorrow. It's funny....I first get sleepy, fall asleep...

Yellow Half Moon Logo 271 , 30 mg Actavis Morphine??
3 Replies RSS
Are these Half Moon Logo 271 Yellow pills really new Actavis morphs? Just got my script n they don't seem right. Can't get any answer ## Yes, that is correct! Actavis does list these tablets as containing 30mgs of Morphine in an extended release formulation. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I was also prescribed the yellow 271 30mg and they don't seem to work as well as the purple 30mg ones I was getting. These ones I can barely feel. how long does morphine inj. pain relief last
2 Replies RSS
I got an inj. of morphine in my leg yesterday, as I suffer from chronic back pain. My dr gave me the inj. around 12:40pm yesterday after lunch, and I'm wondering how long it lasts, as it did help, and this morning I was a bit spaced out. So is that inj. still working to control the pain? ## Hello, Tweeter! How are you? Generally, it only last a few hours, but the side effects may linger longer, which could explain why you were feeling spaced out. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## My son was given a shot of morphine at the ER and I was wondering how long I need to wait to give hi...

10mg morphine sulfate doesn't help chronic pain
3 Replies RSS
My Dr doesn't want to treat my chronic pain cause she says it's untreatable...? Here's what she's done in the meantime, she prescribed 10mg max 3 per day of Morphine sulfate and she thinks that's a high dose, which does nothing for me. I've had my right knee replacement done 3yrs ago and my left knee being scheduled this fall. The pain is unbelievably awful. Pain is shooting from my knee up into my thigh and lower back. I've had over twenty surgeries so far in other areas of my body including amputations. The new doctors won't help people in pain anymore. Ridiculous. ## Hello, Joey! How are you? Does 100 mg morphine sulfate extended release pill taken every twelve hours (2 per day) equal 100 mcg. Fentanyl patch applied every 48 hrs.?
13 Replies RSS
My question concerns drug conversion. The Fentanyl works well, most of time, for my chronic pain, but my insurance now says I can only get it again in March of 2015. This is still Oct., 2014, so I will be out of patches at end of October. I don't understand this, because just stopping the patches would/will cause terrible withdrawal, because if you are only couple days late, withdrawal starts. This happened also recently as my dr. changed (at my request to try something else)100 mcg. patch to only 15 mg. of morphine ER every 12 hours, because of patches costing almost $400 for one month, which I cannot afford, due to "doughnut hole". The change made be very sick within two days, so I had to go back to patches. I didn't think the 15 mg. extended release morphine was enoug...

Help with Fentynal
5 Replies RSS
HI everyone. I have some serious questions to ask you all. I started using the patch a few years ago. I was also on hydro pills. I took 4 or 5 a day of the pills and a patch every 48 hours. About a year ago I just stopped taking the pills. But I started to cut small pieces of my patch and chew on them. At first it would last me the 48 hours. Now I am having to find 100mg patches from another guy because I'm chewing a patch a day. I never meant for this to happen, And 5 yrs ago I wouldn't even think of taking any pain meds, but my pain got to the point I had too. I'm now to the point that guilt is driving me crazy. I know I need something for pain, but I don't know what to do? I hear about slowly getting off, But like cutting down on smoking, it would be very very difficu...

what does a 30mg morphine tablet look like
11 Replies RSS
could someone please send a picture or describe a morphine tablet of 30mg. I found a small, purplish colored tablet with a M surrounded by a square and 30 on the other side ## Can you get a hold of an actual copy of The Physician's Desk reference? (PDR) It has an entire section of color photos with most meds pictured... Check your local library... ## it is a morphine 30 mg ## Dude yourself a 30 mg Immediate release Oxycodone....It's a generic brand for Roxicodone. ## WRONG! The 30mgs Oxy with the M in a square is a light green color, not purple. It is manufactured by Mallinckrodt pharmaceuticals. Here's an image of that one: ## The correct ID of this pill, is as the other posters said, Morphine 30mgs, it is also made by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. This is a generic for MS ...

Morphine 15 Mg vs Oxycodone 30mg
10 Replies RSS
Does anyone know if 2 15mg morphine tabs would be equal to 1 30mg oxycodone. Both are immediate release. I have been on the 30's but due to my upcoming surgery my Dr. feels that I need stronger pain med's. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. ## Actually, the Oxycodone is one and a half time stronger than Morphine, so to equal 30mgs of the Oxycodone would require 45mgs of the Morphine. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Could u tell me if oxycodone ir and morphine ir appear as the same thing on a drug panel? ## How long does 15mg morphine stay in sysyem ## Lord please let those that abuse their pills or medications be taken off their meds. my mother got her medcine and old medcine mixed up ## If your pill has the imprint E655 on front and 60 on back you have Morphine Extended Release 60mg.
