Dismissed By Pain Doctor

In December I was in the hospital for 7 days for lung issues. I also have a lot of other issues with my back and kidneys. I my primary doctor has had me on noco for several years and sometimes when the pain is bad she gives me oxcodone to take in between for break though pain. In the end of December I had lipotripsy. The stone didn't break enough and I was in a great amount of pain so kidney doctor went ahead and done another lipotripsy 3 weeks earlier then he would have liked to. That was at the end of January. They put you to sleep to do this so you are totally out of it for most of the day. Kidney doctor gave my husband several Rx to fill on the way home. One was for oxycodone. I'm very sorry about what happened to you. Yes, your doctor can do that. No doctor is obligated to treat you, nor prescribe any medications, unless you're in life threatening danger. I know it sucks, but that is the way the law currently stands. The only thing I can suggest is that you try to find a new doctor. I have a left leg gone and rods in my back and the doctor that dismissed me after the suit was over couldn't see me anymore because the car insurance wouldn't pay any more and he had me on all this medicine and now I need a doctor who will give me back my medicines ## Hello, Edward! Need an understanding pain management Doctor in CHATTANOOGA TENNESSEE! I suffer terribly with constant ongoing chronic pain that nerds to be treated with narcotics and muscle relaxant for Transvaginal mesh erosion complications and fibromyalgia. I live in Fairfield Township Ohio. I was dismissed because my husband of 32 year's stole my pain medication. I pressed charges he went to jail, showed the doctor the reports and he still dismissed me! Now I have NO doctor and am going to go through major withdrawals, I have even been told I could die due to this and still can not get help, I do not know what to do. I do not take this medcine for the fun of it I need it for chronic medical conditions and no one seems to care, I can not get into another pain management for 2 to 3 months and my family doctor said she could not write the perscriptions until I can get in to see some one else. Just started PM. I have arthritis and a bad case of fibromyalgia. I am worried. I was getting a mild pain killer from a local doctor. Went to PM and got a 30 day supply of Percocet. It was not to be filled until my other pain meds were used up. She figured the date. I went to pharmacy and got other meds refilled and left the Percocet prescription on hold -( which was not suppose to be filled for another 3 weeks). 10 days later I sent my husband to get my blood pressure medicine picked up. He came home with 2 bottles of medicine, one which was my Percocet. I asked him why he had that prescription and he said all he did was pick up what was in the bag. I have been using vicodin for 2 years prescribed by the same Doctor. It is the only thing that keeps me mobile and active with a better quality of life. Everyone in my family and everyone who I work with know I've been using this and comment on how much better I'm walking (I have a bad limp in my right leg). I have not abused the prescription, I signed a Pain Management Contract, get it from only one pharmacy and have followed all of the rules. I have never gone over the allowed dose of 1 to 2 tabs a day as needed - 7.5-300. I suffered from severe sciatica about 8 months ago. I was taking heavy doses of NSAIDS as they were the only thing that helped with the pain. My doctor proscribed me flexerol to help with muscle spasms. 2 weeks into taking flexerol as proscribed, I was hospitalized for what I thought was a heart attack. It turned out I had tetracardia and my heart rate was 200 bpm. The doctors told me I was having panic attacks and basically dismissed me after that. I've been in PM for 8yrs and in that time I've only ever been to 3 clinics and never have I've been dismissed for anything other than insurance issues. Never broken any rules anywhere. I've been on fentanyl patches 150 all 8 years. My current clinic that I've been with for more than a year, all the sudden said I would be going way down on the patches. Their reason is health department guidelines and my MEDD score was too high. Told me the acceptable range for patients will not exceed 180. Their only reason was this MEDD score. So I'm a 1st posting long time reader LOL but this is no joking matter. I live in MN and went to CVS to get my monthly script filled for my feytanal patches and 10mg oxycodone. I really depends on the pain management doctor, however, if you are seeing one, you will most likely have to sign a treatment contract, which will lay out the specifics for you. Some of them require that you not take pain medications from any other doctor for any reason, some require regular sampling to prove you're taking medications as prescribed. Any violation could result in your being dismissed, without notice. I have been dismissed from my practice in Reidsville BC who prescribe me Suboxone for pain relief because I was "excessively demanding" and because I "cussed" at an employee, which isn't true. I had been suffering from left hip pain which is my good hip (shattered pelvis in 2003) starting the second week in May. I suffer with chronic lower back pain and I've been dignoise with severe arthritis, bursitis, an tenditis in my hip joints.
