Has Bupap been discontinued and, if so, what replaces this med? It has helped my headaches tremendously with minimal side effects. ## Hello, Jacci! How are you? No, I didn't find anything about it being discontinued or there being a shortage. Did you check with your pharmacy? They may know more. There were actually several on the market that all contained Butalbital and Acetaminophen, so your doctor should be able to prescribe one of the others, if this one is no longer being manufactured. Side effects to this medication may include dizziness, nausea, sedation and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with? ...

Ru-hist discontinued
3 Replies RSS Share
I have tried to find specifics as to why this medication was discontinued, with no results. I am a life time suffer of sinusitis and for 3 solid years, this is the only medication that kept me OFF of continuous antibiotics for sinus infections. My insurance won't pay for sinus surgery and I have tried virtually EVERYTHING on the market. Nothing works like the Ru-hist Forte did. Can someone help me? ## I'm sorry that you're having such issues, that's awful. From what I can find, it seems that it was due to the Pyrilamine in it, it's just been replaced with newer antihistamines that have been shown to be more effective and to cause less side effects. Thus, it was no longer selling well and the manufacture of it has been discontinued. Have you talked to your doctor to s... ...

Has deplin been discontinued? ## Hi, Cindy! How are you? It doesn't appear to have been discontinued, their website is still active and offering the usual information, savings options and etc. Did someone tell you that it was? ## My pharmacist told me that it was discontinued., but I didn't think my doctor would prescribe it for me if it wasn't available. ## Deplin was not discontinued, but one of the products that claimed to be a generic was ordered off the market. Ask the pharmacist to order the actual brand product or a generic that has been approved for substitution. I get the actual brand for 48 dollars per month from Brand Direct Health mail order pharmacy. Hope this helps. ...

I went to my pharmacy today here in Canada to be told that Smith Kline Glaxo is no longer making Buro Sol. Is this the case and, if it is, what are my alternatives? ## You mean the antiseptic powder? Unfortunately, since it's never been available in the U.S., I can't find much information on it or why it was discontinued. I can't even find a listing of the ingredients. Learn more antiseptic details here. Did you try asking a pharmacist if they can recommend an alternative? I would, but I'm not sure what's available in Canada. ## I currently am using Buro-sol powder with water to make solution. I live in a town west of Toronto Canada and its available here in most if not all the pharmacy's. some are now keeping the powder behind the counter but others have it with... ...

However, if it was a very recent action, it may not be added to the FDA databases, yet. Do you have a source for this information? ## Walgreens has stated Nucynta has been discontinued as of 9/14/2017. Could not fill my prescription. ## my walgreens told me it is discontinued also. sept 22 ## My mother has been taking nucynta for years. It's the only drug she doesn't have a reaction to. My son takes Saphris for Bi-polar disorder, our pharmacist (rite aid) said it is on back order and can no longer get it from any supplier! Is there a shortage? Or is it discontinued or both? ## Hello, Veve! How are you and your son? I'm sorry that you're having a problem finding his medication. However, I haven't been able to find anything listed with the FDA that there is a shortage or that it's been discontinued. But it's important to note that companies aren't actually required to report them, it is a voluntary thing. Saphris is listed as being an atypical antipsychotic that may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, weight changes, dry mouth and somnolence. Have you contacted his doctor? He might need to have something else prescribed, in the meantime... ...

Spoke with Watson. Say that tabs are discontinued! I like the tabs as I can cut in half etc. ## Hi blondy, I haven't come across any specific details or announcements stating that the Fiorinal tabs have actually been discontinued. Actavis is the new "Watson" now since they recently bought them out. However, they come off to me as a pretty shady company, so it could be that they're slowly replacing some of the original Watson products without making any big announcements about it. That's just one theory anyway. Does anyone else have information on the availability of these tablets? ...

I get pains down my leg usually when the weather changes from warm to cold and when it rains. I have always taken Norgesic Forte as soon as the pain starts and it always takes care of my pain. I am in pain daily ## Hi Barney, Sorry to hear about your situation. I can't find any information on why norgesic was discontinued, but I think if you were to look into other Rx pain management options, there's always the usual list of narcotics to choose from; Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, Percocet, Norco, Dilaudid, Opana, Fentanyl, etc...Your doctor would probably know better than anyone else, which of these medications might be most a... ...

Hi, I've been taking 75mg Ketoprofen with One 50 mg Tramadol for quite some time for back and knee pain, once or twice a day with pretty good results. I just tried getting my Ketoprofen refilled at Sam's Club, and was told the're not making it any more, and the pharmacist called Walmart and they had none either. Does anyone know if ALL makers of ketoprofen have stopped, or just the brand name Companies? No other nsaid works nearly as well, so my fingers are crossed! ## Hi Rick, Sorry to hear about your situation. How are you? No, there haven't been any authentic reports of it being discontinued. It's been made harder to get, since it is so frequently abused, but that's the only change that I've found any information on. What substitute can I use for pankreoflat, please help!! ## Have you talked to your doctor or pharmacist about finding a substitute you can use?
