Is this the same as toprol xl 100 mg.Is The w 736 A mfg. number, ? And how a'm I to know ? ## This is a generic for Toprol XL, it contains 100mgs of Metoprolol in a time released formulation. The marking W 736 is an imprint code that allows the tablet to be identified, including such information as the manufacturer, active ingredient and dosage. I recently found a round blue pill with imprint GG 736 on one side and no imprint on the other. The letters GG are above the numbers (no score line). I'm looking for any accurate info please. I have Lasartin pills with the markings 93 and 7365 but they are blue not green. Is this what I should be taking? ## Hello, Leslie! How are you? White round pill with a capital M on one side and on the other side 736. Someone said it was for blood pressure. ## The closest match I could find is a white round pill with W over 736 on one side and scored on the back, that is reportedly identified as Metoprolol succinate ER (100 mg) - A medication used for treating high blood pressure. For verification, the manufacturer is listed as Wockhardt USA. I've yet to come across anything with the exact description you supplied, but will be sure to post back if I do. Recently changed pharmacies. The old pharmacy dispensed in the manufacture bottle relabled with my script info. The dosage is 50 mg. The old script the pills are oval green color, with markings Side 1: 93 and side 2: 7365. The new pharmacy dispensed in a regular perscription bottle. The new pills are white, oblong with markings Side 1: P22 and side 2: LU. I questioned the difference with the pharmacy and they assured me it was correct.
