Can dilaudid help oxycodone withdrawls? I had surgery and my prescriptions got all messed up in the process. I take atleast 250mgs a day and now I have withdrawls cause I can't fill my perscription for 10 days. If you are running out of suboxone, you can cut about 4 slivers out of one 8 and it will last 4 days without withdrals...unlike an oxy, you can maintain a good quality of life...if you hate withdrawls, please take care of your rx and do the math.

I am now into my 4th day off of suboxane. The side effects are getting better. I used .5mg xanax, sometimes I took up to four the first two days off of suboxane. By the end of this week, I feel I should be OK. I am Taking 3 , .5mg of xanax throughout the day and night at the moment. I want to begin to taper off xanax.. What can I expect for side effects from the w/drawl, how fast should I go so that I don't hurt myself. Somepeople seem to have no effects...I doubt I will be THAT lucky! Any suggestions? Seven years of back pain with long history of muscle relaxant and more recently oxycodone and lorazepam. Docs finally did MRI and found Spondylolisthesis Grade 3-4 with bulging disc and appears vertebrae have already fused. Still being worked up by Neuro surgeon. Pain mgmt. just switched me from 10mg Vicodin every 4 hrs to 25mcg Fentanyl patch every 3 days with 7.5 Vicodin every 6-8 hrs for breakthrough. Started patch last week. First seemed to work okay but over the last two patches breakthrough pain has increased with increased pain down my legs. I get sweats then chills with pain in all my joints, arms, legs, hands, feet. I'm currently taking 100mg of oxycodoe a day (20mg via percocet and 80mg via oxycontin) as well as 200mg daily of tramadol. I'm taking these as prescribed for chronic pain. My concern is, that after almost 2 years of being on these pain meds with the dosage increasing as my tolerance builds over time, if the Dr's are able to fix what is causing my pain, are there meds that will help ween me off the oxy? I'm terrified of the withdrawls. My second concern is, if they can't fix what is wrong, are there alternative meds for the pain? I can't imagine increasing the doses forever. I was prescribed 5/325mg of oxycodone for when I have headaches and for a month I have been depending on a half of one EVERYNIGHT to go to sleep or I cant sleep. I was prescribed a quantity of 140 10mg oxycodone and 60 40mg oxycontin a month for chronic and severe back pain. I lost my job and insurance which caused me not to be able to afford my prescription for oxycontin which was around $750. I could only afford to get 14 of them. I had to deal with a little more pain than usual, but I was able to get through the month because I was able to lay in bed most of the time and go through minor withdrawls. I went through withdrawls, got some suboxone and then was unable to work to make a living laid around all day, my doctor finally called a small pharmacy that was cash, but it was only $300 instead of $1,200. I think if you get all your prescriptions and families prescriptions with walgreens, after a while they will refill small amounts for 75 to 90 oxy's or percoset, work your way in slow and it will be mailorder and may have to be insurance,. hydrocodne will be there next target. I have been taking oxycodone 30 milligram for about 10 years. I have neuropathy in one leg due to nerve damage,(3 back surgeries). I have been taking different brand of generic roxicodone throughout the years, but this new oxycodone 122 by CARA made me deathly ill. I thought I had the flu at first, and had called in sick at work for 4 days before finally figuring it out. Horribly NAUSEOUS with severe headache. I am a legit patient with many issues some including 2 surgerys on my spine.. 3 disc bulges, 5 herniated disc and more.. I have been on medicaid for 3 years now and they have paid for all of my oxycodone.. if that isnt legit enough i dont know what is.. when the state gov is actually paying and keeping track of your scripts what more proof could i offer.. but now it seems i can not find a pharmacy that will fill any oxycodone.. I am a local in Jacksonville also.. please if anyone can help please.. i do not abuse or distribute i just take what i need to help me be active with my 3 children and live a normal life.. now im going through withdrawls and beyond that if i beat the withdrawls then im having trouble getting out the bed or walking or even sitting too long.. its not a good life .....

I have been on oxycontin... in the past but have moved to opana. The withdrawls are unbelievable! Ive been on the opana for approximately 6years...frankly im sick n tired of being sick n tired. I've been taking many Oxy 80's daily for the past 2 years. I am on 8mg sub film 2x daily. I still experienced precipitated withdrawls and I waited 54 hours before I started with the subs. It's now 2 days later and I feel very bloated. In addition it feels like I have butterflies in my stomach. It's very uncomfortable. Has anyone experienced this and if so what did you do and how long does it last. So, I had about eight days clean, after going to a treatment center and going thru opiate withdrawls. When I got home I called about a vivitrol assessment and they told me to come in on the 24th. So I went and got a 30 mg Roxy. Well, today they called and told me to come in for labs tomorrow. Is the oxycodone in my system going automatically knock out my chances of getting the injection? ## Did you ever get an answer on this?!? I'm curious about the same thing. Is it okay to take one half and never do it again.. i am pregnant so it shouldn't give the baby withdrawls right? ## especially the only time i will do it during pregnancy ## Has your doctor advised you to take it? Opana is a narcotic, it contains Oxymorphone and when it comes to anything, such as narcotics and alcohol, it has already been proven that even very little amounts can cause an infant to be born addicted, or cause other complications during pregnancy.

After 6 years of being treated for chronic pain my doctor told me he is not going to treat chronic pain patiants anymore and is semi retiring. He has been giving me 30 mg. of oxycodone 5 times aday if needed. Im 61 yrs. old and have heart issuses so Im worried about withdrawls and having another heart attack. I starteds suboxone today I took a half at 7am before work usually a quarter does me fine but I've been takin hight amount of opiates.. like I stopped at 1am yestersday took about 3 or 4 oxy 80mg.
