I used nasonex only a short while, each time I used it, it made my eyes water and burn I then I got a fungel infection in my throat, then I got cataracs, but I have light blue green eyes and was told I would never be able to prove it was nasonex ## Then that is more than likely correct, while it is known to cause such damage it is very rare and usually results from long-term usage. It is very difficult to prove such things, unless the issue occurs immediately and a doctor corroborates the suspicion that it was caused by the medication. What treatments are you currently using?

I switched from taking Xarelto for the past 1.5 years to Eliquis. Been on two tabs/day for the past two weeks and this am woke up with two very red eyes. Any body else have that happen? Not sure it's even from the Eliquis but it's a good guess for now. ## Hi Carolann, Did your eyes feel like they were really dry when you first woke up? Maybe this medication dehydrates you quicker than usual? I don't if that's the case, but if so, you may just have to drink more water on a regular basis to help counteract it. Would you describe it as the same type of "red eyes" one might get after indulging in cannabis? What I find interesting when I look at the side effect profile, is that they list "red urine as well as red stool", but not "red eyes" Lol. However...

I was born without eyebrows. Would Latisse (eyelash extender) help grow hair there? ## I do not know about Latisse, but I do know about Revitalash and it helped fill in my lashes/brows. I would think it would work for your brows as well. Not to mention, it is guarenteed so if it doesn't you can return it...FYI ## Do you have any hair in that area, or just smooth skin? Whether or not anything will help is going to depend on whether or not you have the capability to grow eyebrows. Latisse is only approved to help with eye lashes, so I am not sure if it would do anything for hair in other areas. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including itchy eyes, dry eyes, eye irritation, and eye redness. Ref: Latisse Information ## I'm not a doctor but it doesn't sound lik...

Hi, how long does it take for restasis to work ? ## Hello, Pegostress! How are you? How long have you been using it? It may take a couple of weeks to reach its full level of efficacy in your body and increase tear products. Common side effects may include a burning sensation, red eyes, runny eyes and eye discharge. Are you on any other medications? That could also affect it. ## I am taking Bepreve for eye allergies thats it.. I think I need to move back to the city... I was on wellbutrin for years and my vision got so blurry now I need bifocals. So i got a double whammy almost 2 weeks now does nothing ## Bepreve contains an antihistamine, so it could actually be contributing to the dry eye. Have you tried any oral medications for the allergies? That might help, while eliminating the dry...

I took my last dose this afternoon. I was given this for a uti. About 3 days in i stareted feeling awful....nausea, sweats, body aches. However i really just wanted my uti gone, and it was to late to call dr. Now my eyes really hurt, I have a small spot on both my eyes....I am wondering if this will go away now that i have finished meds or do i need to follow up with dr? ## It never hurts to have such issues checked out by your doctor, there is a chance these symptoms may go away, according to NIH reports, but there is a chance they might be unrelated. Has there been any change, so far? Are you on any other medications? Has your UTI cleared up? What do you mean by a spot, is it a floater, or a spot that is always present?

Clear Eyes ACR Naphazoline + Zinc Sulfate

Naphazoline is a medicine used as a decongestant, and a vasoconstrictor added to eye drops to relieve red eye. It has a rapid action in reducing swelling when applied to mucous membrane. It is a sympathomimetic agent with marked alpha adrenergic activity that acts on alpha-receptors in the arterioles of the conjunctiva to produce constriction, resulting in decreased congestion. I accidentally put systane eye drops n my nose thinking it was my saline, is this dangerous? Should I go to doctor? ## Hello, Cindy! How are you? It would actually be more risky the other way around, since nasal drops are not sterile like eye drops. Since these are just lubricating drops, there's likely nothing to worry about, but you may experience runny nose and some nasal irritation, as reported by the FDA. Did you experience any adverse effects? When in doubt, it's always best to check with your doctor, your nearest urgent care or call poison control.

am 21yrs old n at uni my sight is weak n feel i am going blind even when i have it corrected after few weeks it goes week again i have ended up being depressed over it now i dont know if its in my head or my sight ## What has your doctor said is causing the problem? Are you taking any drugs/medications regularly? There are quite a few things that can cause these types of problems, some are reversible and some aren't. However, only an eye doctor will really be able to give you a definitive answer.

I stopped taking levothyroxine a few weeks ago and have started having red blood shot eyes that do not respond to eye drops of any kind. Allergy, dry eyes , etc. Can stopping levothyroxine cause red , watery eyes and if I restart taking it will the symptoms of the red eyes disappear? If so, how long will it take? ## Why did you stop taking it? Did your doctor instruct you to stop taking it? Levothyroxine is used to treat thyroid disorders, and if you have an issue with your thyroid that requires the taking of it, you are likely to require it for the rest of your life. Ref: Levothyroxine Information As to the red eyes, there is a chance it's from Thyroid Eye Disease, though it usually also involves ocular swelling, and generally accompanies Graves' Disease. Several years ago a doctor recommended over the counter "briny" eyedrops which I found to be helpful in managing "sandpapery" feeling eyes. Now I would like to use these eyedrops again but I cannot remember the name. I seem to recall they started with UR (not sure). Any ideas? ## No eye drops I found started with "UR", but the following are names of eye drops that I felt most closely matched your description: Murine eye drops (these are made from urine) Brolene eye drops Brimo eye drops Could it have been some sort of foreign brand?

Hello. I’m Rick. I was wondering about an issue with my left eye drooping when I get up in the morning. Someone mentioned it could be an eye allergy so I bought Visine allergy drops and it helps for like 3 hours then it starts to droop again, then I put the drops in and it’s fixed again. Just wanted some opinions. Also, I forgot to mention my eyebrow moves upward towards my hair and when I use the drops it relaxes again. Thanks for any thoughts. ## Have you consulted your medical care provider? Do you have any diagnosed medical conditions? Do you take any medications on a regular basis? The FDA lists the typical optical issues from allergies as including eye redness, tearing, itching, and general irritation, but drooping it not a normal issue associated with them. How much s...

Not worth the price. My eyelashes fell out the next day. What little I had. Will not be using the product ever again. Will see if there's something else that can be done with my dermetologist. Seems to be making my eyebrows grow. We shall see.

Has anyone taking Levothyroxine experienced eyelid swelling and leg cramps? I have been taking 50cc for a year now. First I had itching & hives and now I have eyelid swelling and leg cramps. ## Hello, Linda! How are you? What has your doctor said about this? The hives, itching and swelling sound like an allergic reaction and, if that is what is causing them, it's not going to go away. In most cases, it will just continue to get worse with repeated exposure. Typical side effects of this medication, as listed by the FDA, may include nausea, dizziness, weight changes and hair loss.
