Any information on Clonazepam? ## Years ago I was given a small (don't remember color) pill to put under my tongue to combat anxiety. It worked fast and completely. In minutes I was calm and my body reactions to anxiety were gone. What could that have been? I am now on Effexor ER and would like to get off as it is addicting. ## Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine that is most commonly used to treat anxiety, and panic disorders. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and mood changes. Ref: Clonazepam Information It is the one that was first available, years ago, in a sublingual tablet, like what you've described, however, is it the one that can be addictive, the Effexor you are currentl...

I have Post Partem anxiety and have been going to Minnie Jones for several months to see Dr.Ambrose in an attempt to avoid medications. It's not working. The last time I was on any medication that worked for me it was a coupling of Clonidine (Kapvay) and Diazepam as PRN for anxiety attacks. To make a long story short, I was able to completely stop needing medications for a long time. The program that I was in which originally prescribed these medications was shut down for abuse several years ago, and all of their records were destroyed in an "accidental" fire. They continued to prescribe my meds long distance for years before this happened. What I am saying is, I need a doctor who is willing to go with my suggestions as this is my body, but also who will not push me to try new

I've been on oxycontin 80s for yrs. A new pain mgmt doctor says I'm taking too much and has also refused to prescribe ativan 1mg 2 per day. I have been on a rollercoaster ride with meds being changed. I was given Zanaflex and Topamaze. Will these meds help me? Oxycontin dropped from 160mg 2xday, to 1 tab 3xday, no anxiety meds. Also changed Soma to Zanaflex. I didn't sleep much before this change, now not more than 2hrs a day. HELP!! A lot of yrs. of pain. I can't work anymore. I've raised a family, been a wife, raised Foster Children (My Children too). I love them all. I'm now a GrandMother that hasn't been there for her Grandbabies. After 21 years of driving, I suddenly develop of a fear of driving. I've been to my doctor who indicated that my high stress levels has caused this sudden fear. He has me on 10 mg of urbanol per day but this has not helped. I need to overcome this fear as I travel long distances daily for work. ## Hello, Sandra! How are you doing? What type of doctor did you see? It may be better to see a specialist to get more help with this issue. Many people get over such fears by simply deciding one day that they're silly, but that doesn't always work for everyone. Driving on this type of medication isn't really a good idea, either. It can cause dizziness and drowsiness, which may make things dangerous. Is there anything else I can help with?

iIM suffering fromseversanxiety and panic attacks dailey any suggestions would be welcomed Thnx ## Have you consulted your doctor? Proper treatment depends on the severity of the symptoms. Many people end up using a combination of appropriate therapy, with a medication such as a Benzodiazepine. However, these medications do require a doctor's prescription.

I'm sorry, but I can't check for possible interactions or problems without knowing the specific drug. Can you please post back and clarify? Thank you! Belviq is approved by the FDA to aid in weight loss. Its typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, anorexia, diarrhea, pale skin and insomnia. My wife was on phentermine, and then qsymia. She came off qsymia and is now full of anxiety and anger. Please help. ## Withdrawal effects can be normal, if someone abruptly stops a medication, she may also experience nausea, diarrhea and headache. Why did she stop taking it? These symptoms should go away after a few weeks, once her body gets used to no longer having the medication added. Is she on any other medications?

Has anyone taking fetzima had anxiety when adding amaryl 2 mg. ## Hello, Missy! How are you? The anxiety could be caused by the blood sugar change that Amaryl can cause. It is an oral antidiabetic medication and that can be one of the symptoms of low blood sugar. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, flatulence and stomach pain. Fetzima may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, vision changes, loss of libido and increased sweating. Have you consulted your doctor about the issue?

I have suffered from severe GAD most of my adult life, including panic attacks. I am between psychiatrists right now. I am completely out of Xanax 1mg and have 4 klonopin to last an unknown timeframe. I am very frightened/panicked. I am unable to even go to the grocery store. Please help- I have called lots of psychiatrists and none are taking new patients. I am at a loss. Help! ## I don't know how much you are taking but you NEED to have a plan to get you to an ER. I spent 2 weeks withdrawing at home, noting the different daily symptoms, could have written a book. I knew I was getting worse as hallucinations were setting in. I was reading old emails from my ceiling. I almost died but was clearly able to communicate with the ER Doctor. He was amazed. They kept me for a week. ## Hell...

The top rated ones have habit forming chemicals, like Xanax, Vallium. Are there any medicines that aren't addictive but still effective? ## I am afraid that ANYTHING you take regularly carries a risk of becoming dependent or addicted to it. The main thing of importance is to always see your doctor regularly and only take all medications exactly as prescribed. You are correct that those in the Benzodiazepine family are the most habit forming. You may wish to ask your doctor about some of the antidepressants, such as: Paroxetine: Or Pristiq: Some of them have been used to treat anxiety and have less addictive potential than the Benzodiazpines. Do you have any other questions? ## Yea i already considered anti depressants, but do they really work for anxiety and fear? The main thing abo...

Slow release anxiety medication. What is recommend? ## Hello, Stanley! How are you? Well, only your doctor can help you decide what is right for you. But two time released medications to treat anxiety would be Bupropion XL and Xanax XR. The FDA classifies Bupropion as an anxiolytic and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, weight changes, nervousness and insomnia. Xanax is a benzodiazepine, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Is there anything else I can help with?

Have you ever had yourself evaluated for such a problem? Do you have any medical conditions? Do you take any medications? ## Hey Mat, I know it's been awhile but I wanted to see how you're doing? What you described sounds like an anxiety symptom. Was there anything specifically going on in your life which could have caused it? Also, how long had you been feeling that way? " Anxiety is a feeling of fear, worry, and uneasiness, usually generalized and unfocused as an overreaction to a situation that is only subjectively seen as menacing. It is often accompanied by muscular ten...

Anyone have anxiety issues/panic attacks while on this med? I have started with Losartan about 2 weeks ago and have been experiencing anxiety. I take doxepin as an insomnia aid and have had to increase the dosage due to the increased insomnia and anxiety. Do this symptoms level off over time. Losartin seems to be helping my BP. ## Yes, the FDA does report anxiety, panic disorder and insomnia as being common side effects of this medication. You may also experience dizziness, headache and increased urination. Side effects are usually transient and will go away, once your body gets used to medication, but that may take about 4 to 5 weeks. If they worsen, or don't go away after that time frame, you should consult your prescriber. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thanks. The in...

How are you doing? Dizziness is not usually a prominent symptom of anxiety. What type of doctor have you been consulting? And as to these medications, while they can help with anxiety, both of them may cause dizziness as a side effect, so they could just worsen that issue, as reported by the U.S. FDA. Other side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, headache, frequent urination and hypotension. ## Gp prescribed the medication for me because I was complaining about heart palpitation ,and my bp was high but I have been struggling with this dizziness fo...
