Theophylline, also known as 1,3-dimethylxanthine, is a phosphodiesterase inhibiting drug used in therapy for respiratory diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma under a variety of brand names. As a member of the xanthine family, it bears structural and pharmacological similarity to theobromine and caffeine, and is readily found in nature, being present in tea (Camellia sinensis) and cocoa (Theobroma cacao). A small amount of theophylline is one of the products...

I have a large white oval pill with THEO-DUR 200 on one side and a split in the middle on the other side. Is this Oxycocone/apap? ## This tablet does NOT contain Oxycodone/APAP or any other opioid. It contains Theophylline 200 mg (NDC 0085-0933). ## Found a large white oval pill with theo-dur 700 on one side and a split in the middle on the other side ## Are you sure the imprint has "700" instead of "100"? I don't think Theo-Dur comes in 700 mg.

Is there theophylline in ALL teas? ## Yes; provided you're drinking actual tea and not an herbal tisane. The tea (Camellia Sinensis) plant contains the theophylline and theanine, and neither are destoyed during the fermentation process used to make tea or the steaming process used for green tea. The fementation does, however, destroy the EGCg of present in Camellia Sinensis; this is probably the reason green tea is often touted as being healthier than black tea.

Would like to know if anyone had side effects from Prolia but they went away - and how long did it take for that to happen? ## There have been many posts about people suffering side effects, which in theory should wear off in a few weeks, but it hasn't worked that way for many. Is 5 days long enough for a 1 time 120mg dose of morphine to clear your system? ## Plenty. ## In theory it should be, but the detection time average is given as 4 to 5 days and it can vary from person to person, so that may be cutting it close. Learn more Morphine details here. It's generally detectable longer in people that are more sedentary and for a shorter duration in those with higher metabolisms, that are more active and drink more fluids. If it was administered by your doctor, or in a hospital setting, then all you need to do is inform them of that, when you go in for testing. Are you being tested soon? ## It turns out it was a 30mg not 120mg. I took it 10/11/12 and my UA will be 10/17/12.

I am male 55 years and consuming two tablets of Tedral SA since last 30 years. During this period, I never faced any inconvenience and attack of asthma in any type of weather or circumstances. Now this tablet is not available in market. I need good substitution to this tablet with the same ingredients. ## From what I understand, there is NO substitute for the old Tedral formulation. Tedral contained some phenobarb, which helped, but didn't really work, to neutralize the stimulant side effects of theophylline and ephedrine. Ephedrine isn't available anymore and the combo of those two drugs caused "speedy" feelings. It's more typical that you'd be prescribed a rescue inhaler for acute asthma attacks (ProAir = albuterol is common) than any oral med. Works faster wit...

I have been taking Lo Lo for 6 or 7 months. And I often get bleeding in the middle of the month in addition to when I am suppose to get my period at the white and brown pills. or I will bleed during the month and then skip when I am supposed to have it (again at the white and brown pills). this is still happening after 6 or 7 months of using it. I think it may have to do with the fact that I live an international back and forth life style with an 8 hour time difference. every time i fly I change when I take the pill so theoretically my body won't know the difference. for example: in the states I take my pill at 10am in england I take it at 6pm. so i am accounting for the 8 hour difference. by doing this i was hoping to not throw my body off as much. but i think it still is. Is my tr...

My daughter is in stage 4 lung cancer. Her liver levels were very high. Is it caused by OxyContin (60mg)? ## Hi Chi, I'm very sorry to hear about your daughter's condition. According to NIH.gov, "Oxycodone by itself has not been linked to serum enzyme elevations during therapy or to clinically apparent liver injury." However, they go on to note that the combination of oxycodone with acetaminophen is linked to many cases of acute liver failure caused by an unintentional overdose of acetaminophen. Source: livertox.nih.gov/Oxycodone Having said this, my theory is that OxyContin isn't the culprit. Is your daughter taking anything else or undergoing chemo? I hope she makes a full recovery.

I was on HRT implants for about a year. Had nothing but good results with it, felt great, no weight gain, good drive, lots of energy. The draw back is the cost so my doctor suggested Estratest (generic) I started taking it about two weeks ago, mainly for libido and mental clarity. It makes me dizzy. Even when taking it at night I'm dizzy during the day. I feel the dosage is too low and might need to be increased but with the dizziness only one tablet is causing, I am afraid. Do the symptoms resolve after taking it for some time? ## In theory, they should go away, after your body gets used to it, but with hormones that can take about 3 months. Are you sure that's whats causing the dizziness? What are your blood pressure levels? Have you been dehydrated, at all?

What is I the correct way to take apple cider vinegar for weight loss? I've heard a couple of tablespoons in water before a meal... Is that once a day before dinner or more times a day? Also, I quite often use Optislim shakes for the smaller meals during the day. I am also starting to try Garcinia. How is the best way to use these for maximum effectiveness?? ## Hello Lauralee, Ironically this was a rumor that I heard once upon a time and I spent a large amount of time doing research trying to verify the claim. What I found was that there is little to no scientific data supporting the theory that taking a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar before each meal helps with weight loss. However, in the case studies that I have found it shows that there is no clear indication among the divers...

can you take sulfameth/th/trimethoprim 800 160 with meloxicam 7.5.. I am taking it for a sinus infection and cough, but my costachondritis has flared up and wanted to take meloxicam ## My findings state that there are in fact interactions between these two drugs. Posted below are the precautions you should be aware of: "Coadministration with inhibitors of CYP450 2C9 may theoretically increase the plasma concentration (potency) of meloxicam. The clinical significance is unknown. The potential for an interaction should be considered during concomitant use." Based on the info above, I would recommend talking to your doctor before going through with taking the meloxicam, just to play it safe. I hope this info helps. Get well soon! ## I didn't find any problems or interactions li...

When Will The Pin & Needles, Numbness, Dizziness, and Clumsiness Stop after I quit taking Topamax? ## How long has it been since you stopped taking this medication? I found out that the half life of this drug is just over 20 hours; meaning that it pretty much takes a full day for 'half of a single dose' to get eliminated from the body. Depending on the dosage & duration of time you've been taking this drug, it seems as if it would be in your system for up to weeks at a time. Perhaps this is why you're still experiencing possible withdrawal symptoms or side effects. That's just my theory anyway. I would consider talking to your doctor about tapering off if the symptoms get worse or too bothersome. Hope this helps! ## It has be about ten days since I took the la...

My 2 children who have Cystic Fibrosis were put on sulfameth-trimeth for 21 days at 18.5 ml twice daily, they both weigh around 30-33 lbs! Why would they be put on such a high dose for so long ? ## According to nih.gov, "People with cystic fibrosis may take antibiotics only when needed, or all the time. Doses are usually higher than normal." Ref: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0001167/#adam_000107.disease.treatment Although this is just my theory, it could be that their doctor also felt that the severity of the condition alarmed him enough to increase the duration of that dose. But ultimately you'd have to ask the doctor who prescribed it for a more valid answer. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Sulfamethoxazole + Trimethoprim Details I hope this info hel...
