Oval Yellow Pill V 4829
(Newest replies first)

Updated

Yellow, oblong V on one side, 4829 on the other.

I have no idea if this is even a real pill. I've google'd it came up with Oxycodone and Acetaminophen 10/325, but cannot find a picture or any other kind of info..

I have 2 of them. The only difference is when you flip them, on one of them, the V will be right side up but the other side 4829 will be upside down. On the second pill, the V will be right side up, flip it, the 4829 will be right side up. If that makes any sense.

I know that is one way to tell a fake from real but with these I have no idea because I don't even know if the pill is even a real pill period!!

I've checked the manufacture website and there is absolutely nothing about a 4829, but there is a V 4839, but the pill is white and round.

Well I am in the hospital right now and received these from the nurses as Percocet 10/325s..... So they're real!! Hospitals don't give out fake pills.. I've been getting them from the nurses for a week now.

These are still around and carried by some CVS. While CVS will fill with Rhodes as it's their "preferred" brand, if you ask for Qualitest they will fill it with that, if they have it. They usually do. They are no longer the orangeish color they now come as the standard yellow color like Endocet or Percocet.

As far as the poster above (#2 Shane) saying they're imprinted with an N.. NO. It's a V. Qualitest used to be "Vintage" and they use that same V which represents vintage. Also these pills are manufactured by Qualtiest (now owned by Endo) and are distributed by Par pharmaceuticals and Harvard medical.

I recently had a script from CVS and it is completely normal for the V to be inverted or opposite the numbers on some pills. Like others have mentioned it IS normal albeit random.

While these do work for pain they still have some of the "newer" side effects of Percocet, such as lacking that euphoric feeling, causing tinnitus/ear pressure changes, anxiety, and sometimes causing extreme drowsiness (at regular dosage).

So I've gotten some of these and they seem just fine. No wierd feelings or anything abnormal. The letting wasn't backwards or upside like you suggested. That's usually a sign of a fake. They are darker orange to tan color. You ever figure out yours? Just seems these are going around out of nowhere and seems fishy

I too have some of the pale yellow oblong shaped tablets with V on one side and 4829 on the other. Some, when u flip over, the numbers are facing down in the opposite direction as the V on the opposite side of the pill. Some, the numbers face up as they should. Made my tummy hurt. But I'm not used to oxycodone WITH tylenol, which is what they're supposed to be. But the only image that comes up under the numbers on these pills, are orangish yellow & shaped a bit different. These are very pale yellow. I'm concerned they are fake. Did you take any of the ones you posted about? Did they work? I've never seen these tablets before. Help anyone? If I knew how to post a pic I would.. Idk if I should continue taking them or not, they were very expensive. They feel like they have something in them but it doesn't feel like oxycodone I usually take without tylenol.

Hi there Verwon, Shane speaking and I'd like to clear things up for you. If you obtained your medication through a pharmacy, you should have no worries weather they are real or not. If you obtained them illegally, use caution, as you may just be wanting to give relief to some pain but develop a horrible addiction. These pain killers ruin jobs, marriages, and lives. So, that being said, exercise caution. Now, your pill, an orange-ish yellow v 4829 is a perc 10. 10 mgs of oxycodone hydrochloride and 325 mgs of acetaminophen. The "V", however, is actually an "N", which is the name of the company manufacturing the pills, Narcco. The way they face means absolutely nothing, as they will all face different ways. If you've never taken these before don't go popping both of them, as these aren't particularly the strongest medication, however, they are very powerful. Unless someone has a fake pill press, you should be able to tell very easily if the pill is real or fake, by simply cutting a very very tiny chunk out of the pill (and when I say tiny, I mean no bigger than half of a bb size) and popping it in your mouth and chewing it up. If it tastes like nothing, or chalk, you have been ripped off, and that's what you get when you illegally purchase drugs. If it has a horrible foul taste, almost so bad you want to puke, congratulations you got the real deal. Hope this helps.

I'm sorry, I don't have a picture to post for you, due to copyright reasons.

However, Qualitest Pharmaceuticals does list a tablet with the marking 4829 V as being yellow, capsule shaped and containing 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen.

The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

The way the V is facing actually means nothing, that can be random, depending on how the pills were laying in the press.

Is there anything else I can help with?
