Watson 853 - Is It Norco 10/325? (Page 5) (Top voted first)

I got a prescription for generic norco and it has watson 853 imprinted on it. I was wondering if I am getting the correct medication or if I am being ripped off at this pharmacy? It is yellow.

I have a white oblong pill with Watson on it and the # 3. There are supposed to be other digits (e.g. Watson 853) but it's the only # I can see. I was prescribed hydrocodone but had to stop because of my liver. I was then put on oxycodone to break in half, so I found this one and am not sure if it's the right pill.

People say it's not as strong as the white generics. Imprint 176. As a long time patient, I notice nothing different at all.

My dog had 6 teeth pulled and I was going to give him a piece of a Watson 853, but I didn't know if it was considered an NSAID because of the Tylenol? I also wasn't sure how much to give him? He weighs 13lbs.

I recently got switched to the Watson 853 & it doesn't work. I had some of my other 367 left over, took them and got the relief I have been used to. I have been on the 367 for a year and noticed the ineffectiveness of the 853 immediately. That's what led me to this site, to see if I was just imagining this but as it turns out other people have had the same issue.

Why do we have to settle for Amneals besides Watsons. Why did Watson suddenly become unavailable? Is it because they were better or a stigma applied to them? I don't like the idea of being forced to get Amneals for the same price as Watson, which I considered better, even though you say the Amneal 10-325 is the same as the Watson 10-325. What's the real truth behind the change? Maybe I need something more specifically prescribed by my doctor, like brand name, or something else different with more strength?

Sorry to hear about your dog's teeth being pulled. I sure hope he's gotten around to feeling better since the timing of your post back in October.

The Watson 853 contains a combination of Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone and therefore can't necessarily be categorized into a single drug class. Not to mention, Acetaminophen isn't a NSAID. It's actually classified as an analgesic (pain reliever) and antipyretic (fever reducer).

As far as how much to give your dog, that is generally determined by a veterinarian based on the weight of your dog, severity of pain and other underlying factors at the vet's discretion.

it is a pill cotaining basic same ingreidents, but beware since oct. of 08 FDA has informed all major manufacturers that there are ineffective, an unapproved ingredients, case for example the veteran administration was late getting their vet patients their pain meds because of hi demand for hi quality hyrocodone, but limited supplies of effective ingredients

I was on 10/500 hydrocodone after an accident from a big truck that hit me head on front end in a geo storm the bottle said lora-something and Xanax and soma. Why the Xanax? Then I told my attorney that these docs bite, so I switched to my family doctor, and he told me they give you that cause of the insurance claim. Well he took me off all, and gave me 10-750 oxycodone, and 50 mg morphine, and Valium no more soma. Which he did not like to prescribe that, said Valium was much better, the were blue or green. I tell you this, the morphine last all day, then made you stopped up from the bathroom both ways, and the oxycodone, made me want to like everything I did, everything on tv was awesome, and I never watched regular tv shows until those oxy things. And would sit on my PC for hours and hours, sometimes a whole night and had crazy dreams from something. Then after major surgery, he upped the amount of everything, like 18-24 pills a day of the three meds, without including the vitamins, I then recovered well and found out this stuff is so addictive, he gradually took me off of them, when he said time to stop, I could not sleep, eat and thew up for about a month, but started to eat and in no pain but kept wanting the RX drugs. So be warned, just take Tylenol, RX drugs almost killed me more than the accident.

As I said to to the pharmacist he is the drug dealer as without my doctors rx I would not know how to get ahold of pain medicine. so who is the drug dealer now everyone that fills the scripts are the dealers legally

It's a matter of which pill will work best for you. Norcos are narcotics,Tramadol are not. They work in entirely different ways. The Tramadol is worth giving a try. Less side effects, about the same pain relief strength.

This is the worst medicine to take, you will go through severe withdrawal. Trust me you don't want this, google it, I'm not the only one who has gone through it.

Is this a new formula or just a bad batch? I have had ups and downs with the new Watson but what you describe is the exact pill I received this month and is like taking nothing. I am trying to figure out what happened to make this particular prescription so horrible and am petrified to get them again next month.
