Carisoprodol, marketed under the brand name Soma among others, is a prescription drug marketed since 1959. It is a centrally acting skeletal muscle relaxant of the carbamate class and produces all the effects associated with barbiturates. It is a prodrug[2] and is both structurally and pharmacologically related to meprobamate. The major metabolic pathway of carisoprodol involves its conversion to meprobamate.[3] In the United States, carisoprodol is a Schedule IV controlled substance under th...

The Dan soma seems to give me more relief the Dan soma a better quality. ? ## No complaints. Easy to find ## There can be slight fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredient from one generic to another, so that one may have a little bit more in it, so it works better for you. Learn more Soma details here. It may also cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and headache. Is there anything else I can help with? ## U sure are all around every post huh EDDY lol. Which is the better generic of soma 350 eddy ( carisoprodol) ? Qualitest Sun Activas(dan-former watson)(mayne pharma) Aurobindo Which would you say is the best soma generic guys?? ## And to answer your question I get the dan (watson-activas/mayne pharma) ones. Pain Management Doctor in Florida

I just moved from NYC to the Florida panhandled. I am having a difficult time finding a pain management doctor who will continue the meds I have been on for a broken back, failed spinal fusion. I take oxycondone and soma. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. My other choice is to fly back to NY. Many thanks ## You will probably need to fly back to New York for now. However after a reasonable amount of time your out of state providers might cut you off and tell you to find a Doctor in your area ## I know this is older but just in case you're still looking...Dr. David Norfleet in crestview. They take insurance. He has no bedside manner and honestly I don't like him BUT after the first visit you see the NP and she is WONDERFUL! Very caring! The office staff is beyond rude....

muscle relaxer that's most like soma

I have been on soma for about eight years. It really is the only muscle relaxer to really help. But recently most all doctors here in Georgia have stopped prescribing them. Do you know why this would be and are there any other muscle relaxers that may be similar to soma? ## The laws were changed a few years ago and Soma was made a controlled substance. You will find better medicine in the Muscle Relaxer family although it will not feel like Soma does ## There is really none comparable, it was the strongest one available. I've done well with both Flexeril and Skelaxin, but they may not work as well for you. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have degenerative spine disea...

These pills are white, completly blank, except for a slash across the middle on one side. Are these candy? WTF Are they? Have I been totally scammed???? ## Well, where were they obtained from? if they have no markings, we can rule them out as being a U.S. approved and manufactured Soma/Carisoprodol tablet, because all such prescription medications are required to have imprints to enable their identification. However, it could be any one of a large number of over the counter products, since they do not fall under this law. Learn more Soma details here. ## They sound like somas from mexico. A friend brough me some from there yesterday. .no imprint, larger than a percocet with little e down the middle on one side and nothing on other side ## Help, I got the exact same thing. Nothing but a ...

Soma Versus Baclofen

I was recently switched from soma to baclofen. The Baclofen makes me feel very strange and I cannot function as well on it as I can with Soma. It makes me sleepy, and frankly just makes me feel like crap. The Soma works better for me as far as muscle spasms. The Baclofen does help spinal pain but does not work as quickly as Soma on spasms. My doctors in Alabama refuse to prescribe me Soma even though I have been put on different muscke rekaxers, Soma works best with my body. Why will doctors nor prescribe what works best for the individual. Every thing works different on different people. I want to be able to function and not be a zombie. What should I do. My pain clinic doctor only wants to get meds from him, but if he wont prescribe what works, I will get my pain meds from him and som...

Soma (carisoprodol): Cor 103 vs Dan 5513

Which soma (carisoprodol) generic is best? I'm reading that the 'cor 103' makes you feel like you took a narcotic but isn't. Sounds nice as I do not like them either but the relief they provided. I have been on dans for years but seeing this makes me want to give this generic a try. Any feedback? Watson (Actavis - Mayne pharma) - dan 5513 Sandoz - cor 103 Sun - 446 Qualitest - V Med Pharma - MP Aurobindo ## There is no way to suggest any given best one for any certain person, you really just have to try them and see what works best for you, since we are all different. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and drowsiness. Personally, I haven't tried this medication. Can anyone that has tried it chime in? T...

Just received my refill of soma 350mg but they look different than the ones I am used to getting from the same pharmacy. No read out was put in the bag. The white round pill had a SG 109 on one side & blank on the other side. Anybody ever heard of these before? Because, since there was no print out of the new different medication I was a little worried, "what if the pharmacist made a little error in mine & somebody else's medications". Thanks for any feedback. ## Errors are made every day but these pills have been identified as Soma ## That is correct, they are manufactured by ScieGen Pharmaceuticals and they list them as containing 350mgs of Carisoprodol, which is a generic for Soma. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, hea...

Need a doctor in Arkansas Missouri for chronic pain

I originally wrote on 3/16/14 looking for a pain doctor in north central Arkansas or southern Missouri...I live in Mountain Home, AR & am willing to drive to Springfield MO or as far south as Little Rock AR, as far west as Fayetteville or as far east as Jonesboro. I moved from California to Arkansas to be with my sister a year ago & am still unable to find a doctor here who will prescribe the meds I was taking in CA, which were 60 mg MSContin twice daily, 350 mg Soma three times daily, and 1-2 10 mg oxycodone every 4 hrs, plus a 3rd one 45 minutes later if I really needed it. It is like the twilight zone here in AR; every doctor thinks you're a drug addict even though I have all my surgery records, films, discharge instructions (I'd been in a nursing home for 2 yrs befor...

White Round CL 22

I have a white round pill imprinted CL 22. No "0" l.. just the numbers 22 CL22. Could this still be a Soma?

Rising Pharmaceuticals Soma (Carisoprodol)

I recently had my monthly prescription for Soma filled at my local Walmart pharmacy and for the past several months had been receiving the Watson brand from them, which work really well for my muscle pain and spasms, but last week when I picked up my prescription they were a different brand manufactured by Rising Pharmaceuticals. I normally take 2 in the morning and spread out the other 2, one for the afternoon and then one before bed, but this new brand sucks and hasn't given me ANY relief of my muscle pain and spasms! I've never had a generic brand just not work at all for me, but this brand is just terrible! Even taking 3 at a time still doesn't do anything to help!!! I've notified my doctor, filed a report with the FDA, and also sent Rising Pharmaceuticals a complain...
