Why was I taken off of Soma for my pain??
16 Replies RSS
I've decided at my next Dr. appt to ask for my Soma back. I have a certain bone disease, and the only thing that helped the awful pain from it was Soma. I'm tired of being in pain & if the Soma is the only thing that helps, then why deny me the Soma that are completely legal???? Enough is enough!!! If he denies to re-prescribe it, then put me back on Oxycontin 80mg a day. Does anyone know why so many people I know can't get their Soma either?? ## The US government is making it very difficult for Drs to prescribe all pain medication. Drs also don't want to be part of any kind of DEA investigation if the DEA wants to delve deeper. The DEA has all access to pharmacy records and can randomly investigate. ## It's not the DEA that's behind my losing my Soma. My Dr....

New Orleans Pain Dr.
32 Replies RSS
Hi. I'm looking for a pain management doctor in New Orleans/Westbank/etc area. I'm 27 and some places I called only accepts 35+. My Doc of 6yrs has cancer, so he transferred his patients. I recently found a Doc, but he doesn't prescribe soma, and reduced my pain meds. I rather just find a Doc in my area, than drive to BR each month for less meds. Thanks. ## Many Doctors do not like to prescribe Soma. You are also taking Pain Meds too? As you know pain medicine and Soma go together. Doctors know this too. Now that Soma a Schedule IV medication, you will find it harder to obtain. Still possible. ## Hi, Honey! I'm very sorry about the problems you're having. Unfortunately, even if I researched doctors for you in that area, I have no way of knowing what age or type of pa...

Which is stronger Soma 350 Mg Or Oxycodone 10 325
33 Replies RSS
I was given a prescription for each, but don't want to take both...just one of the weaker kind since I'm not in as much pain as usual, which one do I take Soma 350 mg or Oxycodone 10/325 mg? ## These are not both pain medications, so they can't really be compared as to which is stronger, since they are different substances that do different things. Soma is a muscle relaxant that contains the active ingredient Carisoprodol. Learn more Soma details here. And the Oxycodone with Acetaminophen is a narcotic analgesic. Learn more Percocet details here. That's likely why you were given both prescriptions, because they both help in different ways. Are there any other questions or comments? ## Well it depends on what you want to take. Those are to different meds. Oxycodone is a p...

SOMA 350MG WITH IMPRINTS OF SG 109
19 Replies RSS
Just received my refill of soma 350mg but they look different than the ones I am used to getting from the same pharmacy. No read out was put in the bag. The white round pill had a SG 109 on one side & blank on the other side. Anybody ever heard of these before? Because, since there was no print out of the new different medication I was a little worried, "what if the pharmacist made a little error in mine & somebody else's medications". Thanks for any feedback. ## Errors are made every day but these pills have been identified as Soma ## That is correct, they are manufactured by ScieGen Pharmaceuticals and they list them as containing 350mgs of Carisoprodol, which is a generic for Soma. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, hea...

In NC...pain management RN, said SOMA not made anymore?
4 Replies RSS
Pain management for over 13 years. Saw an RN, not a pain doctor for some reason, I don't know why. Reduced my oxycodone 10/325 six/day to oxycodone 7.5/325 three/day, and ms contin ER 30mg three/day to two/day, then took me off 350mg SOMA three/day. Said that soma was not going to be in the market anymore!!?? Put me on Robaxin 750mg four/day and they make me very sick. Can't keep anything down. Called the clinic and RN is on vacation!! Nothing they can do! I can't understand this. It's soma being taken off the market? I've been a very responsible person when taking my medication. Every month I have a UA. I've passed all my pill counts also. I feel like I've did something wrong and I feel totally helpless and hopeless. I've been on same dosage for over 12 ...

pain o soma

ordered from Leopharmarx. 350 mg soma. One is always more than enough to help my pain and more than relax me. I took one 350 mg from them and no effect. Took another one and no effect. I took 8 more(three thousand five hundred millagrams) and no effect. I have also drank a half pint of rum. These pills are garbage and a waste of time. I going to have them tested and find out what they really are and will report back. ## You shouldn't be taking 3500 mg of anything. What if Leo puts poison as fillers in the Soma? ## Wow that's a lot of fake Soma. Aren't you afraid of the fillers, anything from baby powder to poison ## I ordered painosoma and they were junk I just got some from my doctor in usa the american ones are real good she gave me 120 for month its hard to get drs in usa...

Pain med compliance surveys and telemarketing spam
17 Replies RSS
I am a 60 year old male. I have been taking a compliance survey every 30 days for the last 4 months. Have to do this or doctor will not give prescriptions for that month. Since I started survey am getting at least 6 calls a day trying to sell me other medical products. It is fast becoming very annoying. There is a privacy contract with the survey company. It appears that the survey company has sold at least my name and phone info to someone else. I did not have this problem until I started having to take this survey. Does anyone have a sugestion on how to stop this? I have been taking pain meds since 1996 and am getting worried that all of the new regulations are going to cause me to lose my meds altogether. I do not have a left hip and just had to have 2 toes amputated on left leg. Rig...

I have been on Soma for about 3 years long with pain pills as we'll now I was told that it is still in my system ## Hello, Shell! How are you? Are you still on them, or have you stopped taking them? As long as you are still actively taking a medication, then yes, they would be. However, if you stopped, then they would not be, after a certain period of time. Soma is a muscle relaxant that's used to treat the pain and spasms associated with muscle injuries, strains and sprains. Typical side effects, as listed by the FDA, may include nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Which pain medications were you or are you taking? ## I'm not still on Soma I've been off them for about one year I'm still on the pain pills Norco10/325.
