I just got my roxy's filled. The pills are new and i can not find any info from users about the effectiveness, side effects and oppinions on them as compared to the m's and 215 I HAVE FOUND THEY ARE MAKING ME SICK TO MY STOMACH. PLEASE PLEASE CHIME IN.

I have felt with terrible pain off and on. I'm so sorry your hurting. Let me say that medication is the WORST thing that has ever come into my life! I became so addicted that my life fell apart and I didn't care about anything but taking them. Also, after 8 months severe depression set it and I didn't care if I bathed or not that day. If it's a terminal disease I can see taking them but if you don't plan on taking them forever STOP NOW. I could totally be speaking out of line, I just want to warn people about this stuff. If you don't have to take them, I urge you not to. Wishing you the best!

II have had multiple surgeries as a result of being severely wounded while I was an officer in the army. I have been on every type of pain medication including Vicodin, dilaudid, opana, morphine, Demerol, and fentanyl but for my pain I find oxycodone formulations to be the most effective. I am currently prescribed 100mcg fentanyl patches, 80mg oxycontin, and 30mg oxycodone instant release. There are differences in the generic versions of the 30's and in my opinion the most effective are the a215's and the m30's. The k9's aren't the best but they aren't the worst. If I'm not mistaken there can be a 10% difference in the formula for generics which means that some may contain 33mgs of oxycodone while others may have 27mgs.Without these medications I would not be able to function. Anyone who says exercise and Tylenol are the answer clearly has not experienced the level of pain I feel on a daily basis even with all the pain medication I take. If you can not get the relief from pain you need from the k9's and are more confident in another brand you can go to a mom & pop pharmacy and ask them to order the brand you want (assuming you are in a pain management program and will be for the foreseeable future.) Even if it costs a little more money, it is a small price to pay to ensure that you don't experience unnecessary pain. In my opinion the k9's are good for breakthrough pain although they may not be as euphoric as some of the other brands.

Just took my first K9 oxycodone amd I don't really feel any difference between the pills. I think ppl just don't like change and when it comes to ur preferences u would prefer to keep it all the same but all and all its all the same med and really shouldn't have diff side affects for one or the other .

U are rite, these people that take pills strictly for recreation are making it hard for people with real pain and medical issues. For instance my doctor will only rite a 10 day supply per visit and I work out of state (union member) so lots of time I have to do without and just be miserable and deal with the pain. So I guess wat im saying is all u drug abusers is get a f***ing life or get help and quit screwing it up for us legitimate patients. And to add one more thing they should be ashamed of their actions but the sad thing is they don't care.

Can you share with me where you fill your prescription? I have been on these same pills for over 3 years and now I am finding it harder and harder to find these exact pills. I WILL help you in any way I can if you can help me locate these exact pills. I have been going back and forth trying to find these exact prescription. The other makers don't come close to controlling the pain as the K-9.

I have a question does anyone know wat u have to do to see a doctor if u r out of state working and can't go home to see my personal doctor to get my pain meds. I been in Arkansas working for 5 weeks and leaving for Texas this week for another 5 to 6 weeks. Surely there has to be a way. Or am i just screwed?

Come on guy that "H" is nothing to b bragging about man. I wish u could see ur error in your ways. Ive had 3 friends die from that s**t. And the amount ur saying u r doing is dangerous. I'll pray for u and I hope u can find a way out b4 it's to late.

This post is bull. Get a life. If you think chronic pain is bs I have to do something I never do and wish severe unending pain on you and your loved ones. Pain has ruined my life I went years just hurting until it almost cost me my life not being able to deal with it . Pain medications saved me and gives me some quality of life as well as being able to be an involved father and husband which was taken from me by my severe pain. God bless everyone and help with their problems . be it pain or addiction or addiction because of pain which is slightly different than just a pill head. I know pain will drive people to do anything for relief and is as much an illness as addiction

I do agree with everything as far as people trying to justify their "legitimate need" for taking pain medication. There are very few legitimate medical conditions that should be treated with the prescribing of pain meds long term (more than 30-60 days). So if you think you are any different from the addicts buying pills off the street or that because you take them orally rather than insufflating, etc, you are likely mistaken. I've been around this same block more times than I would have liked to or care to count. I started on Hydrocodone and Oxycodone as a naive 18 year old and by the time I was 19 I was already hooked on opiates and that was the beginning of an 8 year downward spiral that eventually led to an addiction that ruined everything and everyone I ever cared about in my life. I've lost countless friends to either suicide or overdose, and wasted so much time and potential during my addiction. Now the point of my post is not to bash anyone or point fingers I obviously know how hard it is to get clean. My reason for posting is to give hope to those who want to end the viscous cycle and let them know regardless of how far gone you feel and regardless of what people say, there is always hope and you can pull yourself up, especially with the right support and by taking the necessary actions. I am now almost 2 years clean and am married and expecting a baby girl in a few months. I am not only a full time student but I also work 26 hours a week and have a 3.7 GPA and am Majoring in Neuroscience with the intention of going into medicine to practice Neurology in hopes of furthering understanding of the brain and it's addictive nature and how we can address the issues that come along with it. I'm sorry if this all comes off the wrong way and it sounds like I am just tooting my own horn and patting myself on the back (which i actually do), but as I said before no one is too far gone, and luckily my parents never gave up hope. They didn't enable me while I was using ever, but whenever I sincerely wanted to try to get clean and was willing to comply with drug panels and other stipulations they had (which I often added to as I know myself too well and sometimes being smart doesn't help you when you are an addict and ultimately working against yourself), they were always willing to give me another chance, and eventually I became sick and tired of the lifestyle enough to actually give it all up, I had to cut off all contact with old friends, change my phone number, delete my facebook account and make a new one, and then ultimately move out of the state to give myself a new environment with less potential triggers. This is just one story of an addict who turned his life around, and im sure there are many more, but what you see and here about are the ones who are still actively using or who overdosed or who committed suicide because they felt powerless over their own actions. However there are plenty of recovered addicts, and im sure you meet one or two everyday, it's just that for obvious reasons they don't go around introducing themselves as such. This is my story take from it what you want, but in my opinion all of those pills are garbage.

Thank goodness someone on here knows what in the hell they're talking about!! I truly believe some of you are in pain but you use it as an excuse to cover up your addiction. Think about this what if there weren't any narcotic pain relievers then what would you do?!?! Oh you live with the pain or actually go to the therapy your doctor should have recommended. Pain pills kill and destroy beautiful families everyday!!!!

Not everybody takes them for addiction. Some actually need them and some Roxy's are better than others. So u just can't admit some need em some abuse them, just like alcohol and other drugs.

I been taking oxy 30's for years. I recently got the k9's for the first time. They gave me a headache, and almost no pain relief.
Out of all the brands I find that the m30's are the best by far, second the V 4812. That's the only 2 brands that work for me. The rest of them are a toss up as far as third, fourth, ect. However I know people that have no problem with the K9's and some other brands. They all supposed to contain 27.5 mg of oxycodone. The only variation is the binding agents, coloring and other ingredients. Apparently the K9's have something in them that I have an allergic reaction to. I can tell you for sure from the people I talked to nobody complains and prefers the Mallincrodt M30's, however if you don't have insurance and have to pay cash you gonna pay top dollar for the M30's and some insurance companies won't cover the M30's.
