How Long Does Methadone Stay In Your System For A Urine Test (Page 4)

I just took two ten mg methadone pills. Will they be out by Thursday? I drink a lot of water. Please let me know soon as possible.

That is wrong! I am on 40mg from my doc a day. I ran out two days early on two seperate occasions and showed neg both times. Before you say it showed neg because I was under my prescribed amount let me tell you I have been fine as long as I have at least 10mg each of the two days before my test. Every drug is different in every person. Your bs half life is not accurate but posted all over these boards. I know because I am prescribed this drug for chronic pain. Yes it is not only used for drug addicts but pain as well and it does a good job.

IF U have Hep C; or your liver is compromised in an adverse way, the damn Methadone can stay in your system longer.. Believe me, I was on Methadone for 19 yrs. It all depends on an Individual's metabolism..

I was in a methadone clinic for over a year. I decided to switch to subutex. U was on 70 mg of methadone i decreased down 5mg each day and then started subutex 5 days after my last dose of methadone. First 2 days were a living hell but things started looking up on the third day. Still gave sleep issues and no appetite. Got drug tested every week from subutex dr 27 days after my last dose of methadone i am still testing positive for it.

First off I like to say that I can understand why people go on pain meds at first cause you're in pain ..I had sever migraines for years and so I started going to pain mngmt they started me on now dose percs then it went to Twp different MG's then fee yes later I was put on diluadid and fentanyl patches well I lost my insurance couldn't afford my doctor it was so hard I then realized just how addicted I had become so next I got insurance back started going g to a pain doctor that liked to give methadone for pain I was eventually getting 280,of them a month plus 80 clonazepam I was tired all the time but I was depressed if I didn't have them I soon got pregnant with my third child which with my two oldest I never even touched pain pill although Tylenol didn't help my migraines that's all I ever took so anyway when I got pg with my third child I had to tell my doctor after so long he gave me one last script with half a months supply and really it wasn't even half a months supply cause he took it down to 2,mg it took five to egual one dome that I was use to..so when I ran out I had to talk to my ob doctor about sending me somewhere I didn't want to count my habit and have my baby addicted but I did it want pain or withdraw either so I was sent to OSU to be weened off with liquid dome and it eventually got to where they gave me hardly any after four weeks so I decided to go home worse thing I've ever been thru in my life the withdraws were so intense thatbi wanted to die I would think of ways to hurt myself to get pain pills it eventually got easier then I took a few pills after delivering my baby wow hooked me again even ultram made me withdraw so I got a hold of a suboxone clinic it dosent help my pain and I still want the pain kills for pain but at least I'm not worrying every day how to get them the worst part of withdraw is not sleeping being so tired and going days without sleep ...now I'm just hooked on a drug that is must a so called legal and safe substitute ...so my words of advise to anyone that reads these post if ur just starting out taking pills please stop now while you can. don't let it consume u. I'll tell u right now its no fun living your life all focused on meds. that's literally all you think about from the time u go to sleep till u wake up, even dream about pills. its crazy. its definitely a drug from the devil. I believe that with all my heart...and to those of you out there that's already lost in it I'm so sorry I feel for you and your all in my prayers. I pray God gives you the strength to stop. it changed my life in many ways. I've lost jobs messed up my nursing career. its messed up friendships, trust, I even gained a lot of weight from eating so much on the pills or not wanting to do s*** while withdrawing....good luck everyone and God bless. I took some crystal cut with methadone had no idea and failed a drug test 2 1/2 weeks later I never mess with methadone hate would never take it detoxed of heroin at a methadone clinic but refused maintanice program u are just substituting one for another anyways methadone is tricking can stay in a long while and I swear I had not taken any methadone had to have been the crystal only way It could have got in my system so watch out for it methadone sucks don't even mess with it unless u have to.

If you're still going through this, get some kratom. It is still legal and will help with withdrawals. It has a shorter half life and will have a much much milder withdrawal, but you can taper to avoid this. Take it for a month or 6 weeks, just long enough to get through the methadone withdrawals and start tapering your dose a couple of weeks in. If you do the taper right, you shouldn't have any withdrawals at all.

You are exactly right i was prescribed 80mg daily methadones by a dr then i told them i wanted off of them onto something not so addictive well they cut me loose and put on my forms i refused treatment. See you can never know what will happen, well that was a couple of weeks ago and iam still taking what i have left. So i have to stop them but i am waiting to do it right way. Im 63 and have a bad heart so i need to get another dr to get me off i hope.But i have real pain where i was in an auto accident.Please wish me luck...

Be carefull withdrawl from xanax is bad, I landed in the ER my boyfriend and the ER nurse thought I was having a stroke. Nurse called trama level one.for me.

Way to not even almost answer the question. I'm so sick of people like this on their high horses giving these self-righteous answers. "I took ____ pill and I need to get it out of my system.. Any advice?" "Yeah, don't take those." "Oh okay. Let me build a time machine and go back and stop myself from taking it."

Obviously someone's concerned about something they took and you give this pompous and completely unhelpful and somewhat insulting answer. Go play in a subway tunnel.

I don't think it's totally that way, it all depends on how our immune system works, because some have a quick body metabolism in there urine. Now if you have been having a clear urine every time they test you and you use one methadone pill that can be no longer than a week now if you have been using it for a while than it will be from 45 days and up.....

Billy young people die because they abuse it. If used responsibly it can improve the quality of your life. I'm 55 and this political BS is effecting my life. Should I just stop and roll over and lie in bed all day. I want to enjoy the short time I have left. If you can't control your medication - don't use it. But if you can, go out and enjoy the time you have left. Ying and yang....for everything that has productive effects can also have negative. But it's by choice.

Hi Myss, Methadone is not used for treatment for migraines. It's used for physical pain and heroin users who want a productive life. Your story is a sign your doctor doesn't know what he's doing. They're many drugs that aren't addictive for your problem. Advising people not to take methadone for pain is wrong. Withdrawal symptoms can be very mild if given the right medicine. It sounds to me with all respect you liked the high and abused it. If you take medicine responsibly to reduce pain you don't feel the high. I hope your child was born healthy and beautiful.

Wrong!!!! You left out Benzos which have a long shelf life. 1, 1 mg Xanax stayed in my system 14 days. People like u shouldn't be advising others when it comes to such a serious subject.

I took 50 Mgs today I will be going on methadone by October 30 I was told if there was any methadone in my urine they will fail me and I don't want this to happen I have been waiting long enough and j don't want to screw if up asking for advise thanks

Yes you'll feel then right away I've been on it for 6 years and got taken off when I got cancer and put on hydro and worked right away but I'm back on methadone now because it ended up giving me heart issues stopping so sudden
