I am going to be in a clinical trial for my CRPS, my testing turned out good, blood, urine, etc. Then I was told to check with my doctor about getting off the hydrochlorothiazide. The medical board said there was torsaden in the med and it can cause heart problems. Is this the case, my nephrologist wasn't aware of this, but she said I could stop taking it right away. ## Are you sure they said Torsaden? I can't find anything listed in the FDA, or NIH databases under that name. Hydrochlorothiazide is the active ingredient in this medication, it is most commonly used to help remove excess fluid from the body to treat conditions, such as congestive heart failure, edema, and high blood pressure. Did they possible mention Thiazide? Since that is the class this medication is classified...

My father suffered from a heart attack 3 weeks ago and now they put him on Ticagrelor 90mg twice daily. Up until having the heart attack, my dad suffered no shortness of breath. Once being put on this tablet he began to feel like he was occasionally not getting enough air into his airways. This would happen at any time of the day/night. It was not so much a breathlessness from overexertion but as if for a few seconds his airways were blocked. Cardiac nurses were informed and said it was likely to be this tablet and to see how it goes. 3 weeks passed and still no change in the breathlessness, however, it was getting worse and happening more often. My father had a CT scan done prior to having a heart attack and they wrote back to him to say they found a nodule on one of his lungs - the ad...

Are there any coupons available for Multaq tablets? I've just been prescribed this drug, which is very expensive. Thanks ## I personally haven't seen coupons in general for prescription drugs. Do they exist? I know that some pharmacies may carry a special promotion for certain drugs once in a blue moon, but as far as finding a coupon for Multaq, I believe it would be a good idea to ask your local pharmacy if they have any store discounts that could be applied to a prescription. ## My doctor has $30 off coupons from his rep. ## If you are a senior and on the medicare drug program, I saw on the Multaq website that if you get your doctor to fill out a form they will supply your Multaq for free while you are in the doughnut hole. ## I get my $30 coupons from my doctor's office. ...

I had a mild Heart attack in 1998. After conducting Engiography , a team of Doctors decided for oral medicines . Still now I am taking the following madicines. 1. Cardace 2.5mg, 2.Metolar 50 Mg, 3. Clopilet 75mg and 4. Pansa 40. I had no cardiac or Hypertensive symtems after that. Later I became Diabetic since 2009 and I am taking Pioglit MF 15 since then. now I had pain on my legs mostly below the knees while walking. After walking for a few yards , I am forced to stop for a while. Then after a minute I am able to walk again and so. One of my Doctors(in my relation) suggested to take Nurobion Forte tabs. Is that ok or not? I am taking only 1 tab per day(since this week). Should I continue it, increase the dose or switch over to some other madicine? ...K.Ranjit 61 years old ## Neurobion...

At times I feel as if I am going to go into a-fib..you know the feeling you get that something is just not right.I had this feeling the few times I was in afib. Since starting multaq I have only had a few minutes of afib and this was in stressful situations where a family member died. My doctor said this feeling is part of the disease where you feel like you might go into it but, the med is doing its job and stopping it. Of course this is great, but, that feeling that come is frightening to me. At that point I want to panic. I was completely healthy until Feb of this year when I was 911 to ER for afib. I converted and am in normal sinus now and the multaq I guess is doing the job. I had flutter now and again before the big afib attack, but, didn't think anything about it. ## I have ...

I've been on multaq for my afib diagnosis since April and have gained 12 lbs. in such a short time after just having lost 40 lbs in the many months prior to diagnosis. My healthy eating has not changed and exercising doesn't help to rid the pounds. I can only attribute this new additional weight to multaq. Has anyone else experienced weight gain being on multaq? ## Yes, that is a possible side effect of this medication, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. However, it should top out around this gain amount and should not continue. If it does, you should contact your doctor. Are you on any other medications? ## Only other new Med started at the same time as Multaq is Eliquis. Otherwise I've been on couple other meds for years.

I was confined months ago with rheumatic fever and my doctor said it damage the pulmonic valve... I take sumapen 2 times a day. Is this really treating my Rhd? How long does sumapen take to work? ## This is an antibiotic that is used to treat various types of infections. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, and non-allergic skin rash. Sometimes, people might need to take a medication for life. However, if you aren't sure, there is no harm in seeing another doctor for a second opinion. How are you doing? Has there been any change? ## Also used it because i was diagnosed with rhd too.. But i stopped usibg it because of side effects that makes me too weak.. I got better like i dont have rhd anymore but then, i took medicine...

I have been taking Brilinta for since the last week in April, the normal 2 times daily tablets. I have developed a severe case of shortness of breath. I can't even do simple tasks anymore. I did not realize this was one of the side effects of the medication until yesterday. My daughter, has been very concerned over my condition, and we got to discussing what changes could have taken place since my last stents were put in. I have five in all, three put in the last weeks of April. I have also had heart bypass surgery. The only think that I could think of was the switch from Plavix to Brilinta, well that and the three new stents. I have also had some chest discomfort, I had just chalked it up to angina at first, but it seems to be getting worse than better. Is there another drug they c...

I am 37 years old and have gained an excessive amount of weight in the last couple years and it's getting worse every month. It's mostly around my belly but I've noticed in my legs that I have a lot of water. My fingers also seem to tingle a lot too. ## Hello, Daylyn! How are you doing? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having. And I urge you to see your doctor, as soon as possible. What many people aren't aware of is that such extreme fluid retention can put you at risk of congestive heart failure and it may cause high blood pressure. Both of which require treatment for your own safety. Are you on any medications that might be causing it? ## No, No medications. And also No insurance. Going to the Dr can be very expensive. Probably the biggest reason I...

How long does it take Multaq to get into your system and actually work? I started taking it this morning and it has been 3 1/2 hours and nothing. ## Never mind. I found out the answer. It takes 2-4 days. It didn't work for me so I have to check into other options. ## Hi Kat, Thanks for providing valuable feedback from your own personal experience. Hopefully it'll help others who may be facing similar problems... I was just wondering though if you based your evaluations off of taking Multaq on an empty stomach or with meals? Surely it gets into a patient's system the same day it's consumed, but I'm guessing there's a certain threshold of how much is built up before one notices how it really affects them day to day - Is that right? At any rate, I'm sorry to hea...

Hello. So my doctor prescribed Betamox for my cold and after ingesting it my heart is racing like a wildfire. Could this be because of the Betamox? ## It is hard to say, it could be due to the infection, or the medication, according to NIH reports. Other side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, and non-allergic skin rash. However, since a cold is caused by a virus, this medication will not do anything to help alleviate it. This medication is only effective at treating, or preventing bacterial infections. How are you doing, now? Has there been any change?

Would like to know your thoughts. There might be some very slight cramping in my legs too. Will all this go away once i get use to this med? ## Hello, Robin! How are you feeling? Has there been any change? It could be due to the medication, especially since you are so new to taking it, according to FDA reports. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, and headache. Yes, such side effects should go away, once your body gets used to the medication, but that may take about 4 to 5 week...

I was told at 5months of pregnancy my babies's heart was beating too fast and I was rushed from my doctor's office to the er. I was told digoxin would bring my baby's heart back to normal and I would be discharged that same day or the next. Many tubes of blood were taken until I asked why because I was starting to feel tired and I was told several doctors were over me and wanted their own blood so I asked if they could share and I thought I fell asleep for a nap but I later woke up a day later the nurse informed and I was also hooked to many cords including a catheter. I was told that something went wrong and the medicine went to my heart and also sped my unborn's baby's heart even faster and now I am being prep for an emergency cesarean.
