False Positive For Methamphetamine On Drug Test (Page 13)

I took a urine drug test for my job and they said it came back positive for methamphetamine, but I dont use methamphetamine. I've just been real sick the whole week before and took a lot of diff. meds to break da fevers and my bad cough. What could have caused it to come up positive?

Several things could. Doctors can also set you up so watch them and demand another, and blood work, and also don't let them invade privacy. Keep your head up and don't back away when innocent.

Can Omeprazole give a false positive test for methamphetamine? I was drug tested and came up positive for methamphetamine, but do not do drugs. I just take Omeprazole for my stomach.

I'm a cancer patient. I've had and I have read false positive for methamphetamine on a roadside, tho I do not take methamphetamine. At the time I read positive, I also had all my teeth pulled out and had stitches, and also had a mouth & throat full of ulcers. I use a lot of Vick's inhalers and always have Vick's on hand... Is there something else I could've used that could have caused this to read positive? Please help. I've had my left boob removed. My lymph nodes. I have done 6 toxic chemos, 28 sessions of radiation in 28 days and more in the last 2 and a half years...

I know two things for sure that cause false positives. One is Aleve d cold and sinus and the other one is the Walgreens brand called Wal-Phed. It's for cold and sinus. Those two I'm positive can cause you to pop positive for methamphetamine cause they have Sudafed in them. They have to be bought behind the counter with an ID now. There's another one I was told would cause you to pop positive for methamphetamine my friend said so I'm not sure, it's Claritin-D. My friend swears it'll cause a false positive and there only two choices, either she was lying and doing methamphetamine which is hard to believe as she's just not the type, or it really does cause false positives for methamphetamine, cause someone called social services on me several years ago and I knew couldn't pass. I had took my husband's pain medicine as mine wasn't helping. It was on the weekend I broke my toe, so she happened to be there. I went and the worker pulled in. I automatically figured I'd be trouble so I told her if anything comes up can you see for me. She agreed, went, test came back and I tested positive for methamphetamine but hadn't done no methamphetamine, just took a pain pill, and hadn't had nothing that could cause me to get a false positive. The reason I say me, is that I panicked when the worker started knocking on the bathroom door. My friend had already pee'd earlier. This is it for me. I couldn't find it right off so thought I was screw. I tried to pee but I barely could, then found where she hid it, dumped mine out if any was left, wasn't but a drip. The worker ran it and said I was positive for methamphetamine and two pain medications. I demanded her to take me to the hospital to be tested. That's not right. I admitted to pain medication, one prescribed to me and the other I swiped when my husband wasn't looking. She ended up letting the methamphetamine accusations go. My friend later on says I had pain medication in me, forgot to tell you and clairtin d, so either she's one heck of an actress and had methamphetamine in her or clairtin d caused it. I'm sorry for such a long answer but wanted explain why I'm not sure about clairtin d. Hope this helps.

I went and took a urine test today for work and it came back that i was positive for methamphetamine but the only thing I take is an acid reducer called ranitidine 150mg. I take two a day. Can that make me pop hot for that?

I am prescribed other antidepressants but as soon as I started taking levothyroxine for my thyroid, my daughters have came up positive for methamphetamine. I do not use. How is it possible that this is causing my positives?

Is it possible for Affrin nasal spray or melatonin to cause my drug test to come back positive for methamphetamine? And what can I do to prove otherwise?

I recently had a drug test and tested positive for Methamphetimines. I DO NOT use drugs and the only thing I was using different at the time was Sudafed + Mucinex DM and breathing treatments as I ended up with the flu and pneumonia. I have been in the hospital twice since and they gave me another drug test again after me taking all kinds of meds at the hospital. Why would they do these tests knowing I will fail?
