laryngopharyngeal reflux

Would like to know if anyone has been treated for LPR with PPI medication. Have you tried more than more one? If so, which worked best? I know every body is different and medication that works for one may not work for another. Just like to hear your experience. I am also aware that GI surgery is sometimes suggested, but it may not last or sometimes is not successful. Please feel free to comment if you have had the surgery. Thank you! ## The main issue I had with PPI medications was due to the fact that they can cause stomach pain, as a side effect, according to FDA reports, they may also cause increased risk of hip fracture, fatigue, insomnia, and anxiety. There were too many times I ended up in the ER doubled over in pain, so I gave up on them. I have not had the surgery, but I have ta...

never mind forget it i flushed it in the toilet i dont want my e mail address just out there thanks so much for your help NOT ## Just so everyone is aware, email addresses and such are never made public on this site, the site administrator has a very strict privacy policy, out of respect for site users and their safety. Regarding the pill that was asked about, in case anyone else is curious as to what it contains, it is an over the counter product, the manufacturer McNeil lists it as being Pepcid AC, which is used to treat, or prevent heartburn, ulcers, gastritis, and GERD. NDC Code: 16837-0855. It is a 20mg tablet. Is there anything I can help with?

c11b or 011b small pink round pill

small round light pink marked c11b on 1 side and blank of the other ## Is the marking possibly C119? If so, it is a generic for Pepcid, which contains 20mgs of Famotidine, it is used to treat, or prevent conditions, such as heartburn, GERD, gastritis, and ulcers. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain, and diarrhea.

pharmacy mixed up my drug with something else

I am on a prescription of Hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg for high blood pressure. When I refilled my last prescription I noticed that some of the pills were different than the others. I know the ones that are round peach colored with 25 imprinted on them are the right ones. The other pills were smaller, round and pink with only a P on imprinted on one side and nothing else on the other side. I took the bottle into the pharmacy today and the pharmacist doesn't know what this smaller pill is. They took the whole bottle of them away from me and crossed the label with an "X" saying I must have mixed something else with the regular drug. I told them I certainly did not and they say they didn't do it. Anyway, I'm trying to find out what the small pink pill with the P imprint is...

Green Oval Pill for Heartburn

Years ago my doctor gave me a big oval green pill for heartburn. I took it for several months and eventually the heartburn went away and i didn't have it for years. Its come back and i would very much like to find that pill again. Unfortunately, i don't know the name or any numbers on it. Just that it was green, oval and a big tablet. ## Hello, BJ! How are you? I'm sorry, that's not much to go on, so I'm not certain what it might have been. However, there are many good remedies available now, even over the counter to treat such issues. You can find both Pepcid and Zantac over the counter in name brand and generics. Some others available over the counter that also have generics out are Prevacid and Nexium. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, stomach pain and f...

can i be in the sun while takind pepcid

I got a Sun rash on my hands arms and chest and was wondering if it could be because of my pelvis pill ## Hello, Candicel30att! How are you? This isn't known to increase sun sensitivity. However, it's difficult to know what any given medication may cause in any given person that tries it, it could also be due to some other issue. Have you had your doctor look at it, yet? That would be the best thing to do, to be sure. Other side effects may include drowsiness and flatulence.

small pink pills with the letter P on it. They are round.

I recently found a couple very small pink pills with a P on one side and nothing on the other. They are round in shape. ## Hi Alicia, I have identified your pill as Pepcid complete; which contains (800 mg) of calcium carbonate/ (10 mg) of famotidine/ and (165 mg) of magnesium hydroxide. Pepcid Complete is an OTC medication that belongs to the drug class H2 antagonists and is used in the treatment of GERD (Gastroesophageal reflux disease). It works by blocking some of the signals that tell your stomach to produce acid. Manufacturer: Johnson and Johnson/Merck Consumer National Drug Code (NDC): 16837-0291 You can learn more about this drug on the page for Pepcid Complete Details I hope this helps!

Round Pill With L 165

Hello i found a little peach colored pill with L 165 printed on it. Can anyone tell me what it is? ## I haven't been able to find a listing for this, but that is most likely because it is an over the counter product and those imprints are not required to be listed with the FDA. However, the L followed by 3 additional numbers is used by LNK International and they only manufacture over the counter products that are sold by various stores as the generics or store brands. Learn more OTC drug details here. From the color, if I had to guess, I'd place it as being one of their antacid products, such as a generic for Pepcid, which contains the active ingredient Famotidine, but I can't be certain that's what it is. Where did you find it? ## clonidine 0.3 mg

where can I find pepcid

I Havent seen Pepcid on the shelf Of any of the stores that I visit . Do you know why? ## It appears that there were certain lots of the brand name product that was recalled due to some of the bottles being punctured during the manufacturing process. There is a generic available, as most stores, that is called Famotidine, it is the active ingredient in Pepcid and therefore works the same. Have you tried it? I use the generic/store brand and it works fine. ## It appears the recall was back in early August. It's surprising Pepcid was just taken off the shelves of our local WalMart (Las Cruces, NM), a couple of days ago. We agree with Verwon--the generic, famotidine, works fine. Doesn't taste as good, but solves the problem. ## Will Pepcid AC be available in Las Cruces NM in the ne...

Round Pink Pill With Letter P Or B

Small round pink pill with the letter P on one side. There are no other markings. ## There are a couple possible ID's for this pill, based on the description provided. Although there may be more, the one's I located are manufactured in the US. The first match is identified as Pepcid complete (calcium carbonate 800 mg + famotidine 10 mg + magnesium hydroxide 165 mg). The "P" imprint on this pill is clearly a P and not a B. The other possible match I found is the same pill except that it's a children's version with only 400mgs of calcium carbonate. I cannot locate a photo of this one though. There is one other round pink pill marked "B", that is identified as Children's benadryl allergy fastmel 19mg. It is manufacturered by Pfizer U.S. Pharmaceuticals G...
