Camber Pharmaceuticals Generic Percocet (Page 4)

Updated

Just got Camber Pharm generic Percocet at Walgreens instead of the Actavis brand. It's giving me an upset stomach and causing me to feel weird. Has anyone else had a similar reaction?

One more thing. This is the 6th day back on the Actavis. As ive mentioned before the symptoms are getting better. I know the burning in my stomach and horrible gas was the camber. That is gone. Im not shaky anymore. Not as tired. Upper back pain is gone. Camber gave me heart attack symptoms. Anyhow, i will ask Actavis if they have changed the formula recently. Also question them about the switch to name brand. Will they be supplying to Wallgreens. Be interesting if they tell me to call the manufacturer; like Camber did. Of course their manufac. is India. I was told by the independent pharmacy that Actavis was made in the US. Gee, I really do have other things to do but I just cant go through that again. When people have something to hide, there is always reason for that.

Re: Bella (# 60) Expand Referenced Message

Was in Walgreens today and how rude! She said Walgreens were not getting it at all and she coulfmd not order it because the medicine is not there to order. She said on backorder and stated she had no idea when WALGREENS would ever get it again. When u have been a customer for 12 years u should expect better customer service. If this continues, I'm gonna have my doctor take me down to hydrocodone 10/325. At least I won't have these horrible side effects. I'm on the strategic patches too but in no way will I ever get any of my medicines at any of our 40 or so Walgreens. Honestly I don't think she was telling the truth.

Re: Bella (# 60) Expand Referenced Message

I spelled my post wrong. Walgreens said they would not get the actavis 10/325 Percocet ( generic) nor could they order it because it's not available to order. Im so sick of rude people when I've been a customer there every month for 12 years. I'm on the duragisic pain patch as well and I too can not go through these awful side effects again from Camber. I will not fill Rhodes e at again as well. Told her about my side effects. She didn't care. Well I don't care about Walgreens anymore. Changing pharmacies. I did hear someone in the background say " so and so had it. Gonna try that " mom and pop" or go down to hydrocodone 10/ 325. At least i eill get breakthrough relief a lityle compare to these camber posion pills. Kerp in touch

Re: Lildarlin (# 62) Expand Referenced Message

What area do you live, do you mind me asking? Or, just letting you know that I am in North County of San Diego and my Walgreens here was able to get them back in. last month I got the poison and went through the same thing as everyone else here. Luckily I had not been taking the amount prescribed which was 4 per day. I am usually able to do 3 so I had extra to pull me through. Not sure what I should do about the poison pills as I have almost a full bottle and I think it might send an alert 2 my insurance company that I had been stashing some away. Thoughts?

Re: Bella (# 61) Expand Referenced Message

I picked up my Actavis script at Walgreens today. I'm in Southern California. I checked with the pharmacist and she said the price is the same for Actavis as Camber and the insurance company paid. I've mentioned this before; I was told today again that the reasons they switched to Camber; because there is an annual limit as to the amount of opioids each company can distribute per year. Once they start the new year (after a month or so), they can distribute the drug again. She thinks that they should continue to receive the Actavis. New guidlines that make no sense; except the way i understand it, the FDA collects a new regulatory fee. From what ive learned (true or false), the individual pharmacy has no control over what corporate sends them. When one company can no longer distribute the controlled substance; then Corporate has to find another supplier. Bubble wrap mentioned that Actavis "may been switched" to name brand drug now. As far as i know it is still generic. Name brand percocet at Costco is (for the amount I have been prescribed is $1,300). That's all I know about that.

I called Actavis in texas today. They were bought out by Allergen a couple years ago. They were very nice and referred me to product development in New Jersey; which by the way is Teva. It was too late too call; so I may tomorrow. Ask several questions; ex. has the formula changed, the ingredients and where do they come from, will they be supplying to Walgreens, etc. Calling the corporate office of Walgreens might help. I did a day after starting the Cambe. I told them what store I was dealing with; because they ask. If you no longer want to deal with Walgreens, than it would be a wast of time. I may switch someday. However for now, I was desperate and if they have Actavis, it was no brainer. Plus the pharmacy is about a quarter mile from me and I like the manager. What will happen in the future, I have no idea.

I am in Tennessee. I have two physicians. My pain specialistic I see every month for monitoring, testing, pill counts, and it's a very strict program which I'm very happy to have all this. It lets my doctor weed out the ones who slipped through the cracks to get in there. Very professional. I was very lucky to get him 5 years ago. The Walgreens I spoke to today was one of the most uncaring location out of 40 stores or more in my local area in driving distance. I had an appt. With my other physician that works with my pain doctor, that provides me with my medication for severe anxiety, etc. This pain has affected me in many ways. Both docs work together and know what I take so on my monthly test, medicines from both come up. Amazing how many faces I have seen leave do to the extreme testing every month. It's not in-house testing. Sent off and it detects. FAIL PROOF. That's why a lot of patients have been let go. It tells who is there for true chronic pain as myself, and some not there for quite the right reason. I would put up with this testing all day long to be able to receive my severe pain relief. I have never in the last 6 years have questions on my test. I would not risk it for anything.

So, I went in to the Walgreens, that may be the worst in customer service, and she was so rude, and didn't want to talk about it. I know she wasn't telling me the truth about not being able to get them, especially the fact that actavis was not sending their oxycodone as it was on backorder to Walgreens. I did say, after being a customer for 12 years it didn't sound right as I have heard other Walgreens in different states have even ordered it for chronic pain patients that have allergic reactions to Camber. She didn't care as I told her my allergies that have kept me down the last 2 weeks. She didn't want to hear it. I am able to go over state line with my insurance so I haven't given up yet. If worse comes to worse, I will talk to my doctor about putting me on the strongest hydro 10/325. That is much better than no pain relief and the sickness from Camber. She did say they can order watson since it's a different med. I have a few options for some mom and pop stores before I resort to that. If it wasn't for my Duragesic patches (low dose) I would probably be in the hospital. I didn't realize how much pain relief I had on the actavis the last 4 years for breakthrough. My doctor today kept telling me to call my pain doc for early refill even if it has to be hydro until this mess can be straightened out. My anxiety meds has helped the shaking, and withdrawals the camber has thrown me in. This doc thought I was a mess today and was typing every word in I explained about camber and my allergic reactions. I finally slept today after taking my anti-anxiety meds. NOT an antidepressant by the way. Susan I'm not giving up on this. True chronic pain patients as all of u need to not back down as well. I have so many damaged bones and I'm 100 percent disabled. Shame on walgreens!

I was just about to post same re: Camber generic brand...nausea & weird feeling. After trying so many generic brands this last year or so after being in pain magmt on them for a decade NONE OF THEM are what they used to be. I believe behind the scenes PERCOCET formula brand pr generic has been reformulated by big pharma.

At least I have found finally 2 mom and pop stores that are a great pharmacy. I spoke with them on the phone this evening and they said they would meet my needs. What a relief this will be... I'm very grateful. I haven't heard customer service like this in 25 years.

MikeyG this is my second month in a row I've been given this at Walgreens. They made me sick physiologically and physically definitely something weird going on here. Actavis brand worked just fine these are just crap! Guess I'll be going through another month with pain again thanks to Walgreens. Yeah I guess I better try Walley world from now on by force since I live in a small town with only two options as far as pharmacies go. Don't bother calling the mfr. you'll get sent to a person in India answering from their work from home office. Whatever happened to American made pharmaceuticals Aaahhhhhh!

One way to shift I found was to get. Oxycodone 10 MG tabs which walgreens carries generic by kdp tech any way US based generic for example which are not made by Camber india based and add your own tylenol. Problem solved!

Re: Bella (# 66) Expand Referenced Message

Bella, isn't it strange we get different answers from all the Walgreens? U would think a company as big as Walgreens could at least get their story straight. Did I get your months actavis from what was left over before camber came in? Or did they order it for u? Reason I'm asking is if they ordered it for u, then they should put it on your profile to always keep actavis on hand for you. I was told ( in a very cruel way from the most rude Walgreens employee) that in no way can it be ordered because actavis could not get the chemicals to make the drugs for oxycodone.????? Now I thought about this. First of all, it's the dumbest thing I have ever heard, but second, could it mean the chemicals to make those as crappy as the Camber? Either way I didn't believe a word she said. It was so far fetched a child wouldn't believe it. A lady came in and showed her, a pic on her cell phone asking if she had this in stock, and it had to be oxycodone/ apap because the very rude girl told her... no it's backordered ad nobody else in town has is. The look on the innocent woman's face was awful from being talked to so rude. She meant all the 40 Walgreens in town. Have any of u written to Walgreens instead of the pharmaticals? I'm about to write to Walgreens headquarters and let them know how sick myself and all of u have become so very sick. Bella it's not right for them to order only for one month and then leave u hanging.

Re: Bella (# 66) Expand Referenced Message

Hi Bella, with the fact being that a pharmacy can only sell a certain amount of opioids a year (Actavis being one of them), now, my question is...WHAT ARE THESE PAIN MEDS FROM CAMBER? They are ALSO SUPPOSED TO have opioids in them too...don't they? Actavis and camber both are supposed to have oxycodone and apap? Right, well are they implying that CAMBER does NOT HAVE OXYCODONE IN THEM? Also, I read one of the inactive ingredients that I looked up....is a soap that acts like a lubricant so the chemicals do not stick together in the machine!!! This is SCARY CRAP!!! It's no wonder why everyone is getting so sick! What is the difference of selling one opiate from a mfr or an opiate from a DIFFERENT MFR.? A number is a number, I would think that once a number has been met, that's it. I am puzzled by all this crap. Is it possible this Camber stuff is a placebo and that's why nobody is getting any pain relief?! Also, walgreens buys Camber oxycodone 10/325, a bottle of 100 pills cost them $20.00. Actavis mfr buys oxycodone 10/325 and a bottle of 100 pills cost them $117.00.

No they did not order them. They happen to get a supply of them in. They can try to order but they only have available what the corporate office sends them. They cant order what corporate does not have. I've explained here several times that Actavis was cut off after the reached their annual limit on controlled substance; until their new calendar year begins. Then Corporate has to get a new provider for Oxy/Percocet. Sadly, they chose Camber. Now they will want to use up the Camber but you could try Walgreens corporate and tell them what store you deal with. I did but other than that, they referred me to the Camber the company and seemed annoyed like they had many calls. Camber was useless. Got nothing from them but a referral to India. I know the pharmacist well and ask him to call me when/if he got Actavis in. I've talked to Actavis, who referred me to Teva in Pennsylvania. Teva bought out Actavis in August of 2016. They were professional and answered all my questions. She emailed me the ingredients in Actavis and is checking to make sure there has been no recent change in formula. Also, she will check and let me know where the fillers and binders come from but they are manufactured in the US. I want to try to call Camber in India and see if they will provide the ingredients for their poison. Last time i tried to ask them questions, they wanted my name and number to call me back. I didn't give them my cell phone number. I will send the ingredients for the Actavis.

Get your doctor to write your symptoms on a descript and order new one without tylenol. The plain oxycodone is a different manufacturer. They will take back and my insurance did pay again. Have to have dr document symptoms though for a replacement.

Re: Bella (# 75) Expand Referenced Message

Thank you for staying on top of this. I'm so very sick and getting very dehydrated from throwing up every time these posion pills from Camber hit my stomach. I'm gonna write several top people at Walgreens. I found the person that's over the supply for chains. When I find a few minutes tomorrow of feeling ok u best believe I'm gonna write the same letter and send it to each corporate person at the highest level. I will do anything to help us from suffering. We have to keep making noise at the top people at Walgreens head quarters. It's the only way they will get decent brands back. I have a bit of leverage because made a huge mistake on my medicine bottle last June. I let it go but it falls under "pharmacy malpractice" I have until June to peruse it. I best not put it on here but u best believe I'm putting it in my letter. A pharmacist made a huge mistake with an important medication for me last summer.

Re: bubblewrap (# 74) Expand Referenced Message

I think i have mentioned that its NOT the pharmacy that is limited on the number of scripts they can distribute. It's Drug Companys that are limited to the amount they can sell per year. Supposedly an effort by the powers that be to do their part in the opioid crisis. It's convoluted, it stupid and the way I see it; its just a way for the FDA to collect another regulatory fee each year; which is a lot of money. Also I saw where its competition. Also convoluted and seems to monetarily benefit another generic company. When I told the manager at the pharmacy it made no sense, he agreed. It's all about money with no concern for the patient. For the most part the generic companys cant afford the regulatory fees. So the way I see it, a lot of these drugs are not FDA approved. Not that i trust the FDA when it says FDA approved (: Sure doesnt say FDA approved on the bottle. I hope im making sense out of senseless BS. As ive said before; we purchase over the counter drugs and on the food we purchase, we can see the ingredients. The pharmacy manager didnt try to defend any fishy fact that I found. He sarcastically said; I guess we're suppose to trust the government. Do you?? I also found out that one of the new rules is that you can only get 120 (of whatever dose you are taking) in 28 days. Im ok with that right now. What about people who are in hospice or require more? I've read sites where Vet's have been cut off and living in pain; because of these new guidelines that obviously have not thought out. Id like to know where you got the ingredients for Camber. Here are the ingredients for Actavis that were emailed to me today; The active ingredients in Oxycodone/Acetaminophen Tablets are 5 mg Oxycodone hydrochloride, USP (which is equivalent to 4.4815 mg of oxycodone) and Acetaminophen, USP 325 mg. The inactive ingredients are croscarmellose sodium, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, pregelatinized corn starch, silicon dioxide and stearic acid.

I would like to compare. I had plan to call the India Monday and see if they were willing to give me the ingredients for Camber. Im exhausted but Im driven because i have burnt by generic drugs before. I'm not sure what you mean by the pharmacy paying $117 for Actavis. I would have to ask. All I know is she looked at the price (I guess that i would have to pay if ins. didn't) and they were the same. Let me say, I really do have a good relationship with the local Wallgreens and I trust what they tell me. The employees are not all the same at various wallgreens. I know from calling around when I was first given the Camber. One witch tried to tell me they were exactly like the Actavis. I told her that 14 months on the Actavis, I would know. She insisted and I hung up.

Re: MeJane (# 69) Expand Referenced Message

"I believe behind the scenes PERCOCET formula brand pr generic has been reformulated by big pharma"

MeJane, I think that's a real reasonable suspicion. I've been back on the Actavis for 8 days. My stomach gurgles as soon as i eat and then gas. Also a burning stomach ache. This is why i contacted Actavis today. I did get the ingredients; which I posted earlier. This can be a sign of bacteria, food poisoning. I picked up probiotics today; hoping it will help. She insisted it was manufactured in the US. I told her I need to know where the ingredients come from and if the formula has been changed recently changed. She is supposed to get back to me on that. I told her about the problem with Camber but didn't complain about Actavis yet. I said Im sure you can understand my concerns. She said generics have the same ingredients as name brand; which I do not believe. She said they are more because they pay for the research and development. For what its worth, that was just some information about the conversation. I will follow up. Nothing about all of this passes the smell check.
